what is your skin care regime? do you swear by any products that have improved the look of your skin?

rinse face off with luke warm water-never soap or face wash... don't put on pore clogging makeup or any other products...skin stays beautiful.

I'm late 30's (and that scares me now that I've typed it :scared1:) and I have been using Oil of Olay products since I was a teen. I have tried Mary Kay and Arbonne, but honestly, never noticed any difference with the more expensive product. I have been told though that it's best to stick with one product line and not mix them up? So I do use all Oil of Olay cleansers, moisturizers, etc.?

I love the Oil of Olay Regenerist line (especially the daily regenerating serum and their night-time moisturizer). I also cleanse my face morning & evening with a Comedyne pre-moistened cloths (I get the packs at Trader Joe's) before putting on any moisturizer or makeup. I *never* use ANY kind of toner, maybe it helps other folks' skin but I think the stuff's nasty.

agnes!

Heck, I'm in my mid 40's, and I still need to wash my face as if I was a teenager. I have extremely oily, acne prone skin, so I use AcneFree (a ProActiv clone). I only moisturize during the winter, and it has to be a super lightweight, non oily one, or I am shiny and greasy.

The upside to all this extra oil is that I don't have any lines or wrinkles to speak of- but I still have zits.

I'm in my mid 30's and I love Avon's Anew Clinical line, especially the DermaFullX3 serum.
I used to use Clinique when I was in my teens/early 20's and recently went back and realized how much my skin has changed. Right now I'm fighting a horrible break out and I'm pretty sure its from the Clinique, its just too harsh for my skin now. I'll stick with Anew :)

I use Murad and I've really noticed a difference in my overall skin tone with less visible fine lines. I'm 51, so the products get more important (not really up for botox, LOL!!)

I use Cetaphil liquid soap and moisturizer. And I use sunscreen everyday.

Steiner products! Love them all! They are pricey, but they have made a huge difference in my face.

I switch between Olay, Avon & Philsophy. But seem to always go back to Avon Anew. I have found that night creams are a must right now because most of the day lotions have spf's in them which don't seem to sink in as well.

I'm in my 30's, but I have spent quite a bit of time with cosmetic surgeons. They recommend a medical grade skin care line. Also, retina-a or tretinoin cream is a MUST for any woman over 30. Luckily, my insurance covers the cost of this prescription cream.

I use OBAGI medical grade skin care line + tretinoin cream each day after I get out of the shower.

I use Dove Soap for sensitive skin and Vaseline.

I have extremely dry, extremely sensitive skin as well as some slight rosacea. I would love to be able to use some of the skincare lines out there to help with fine lines; however, each and every one of them has cause some sort of reaction.

I really do need to get to a dermatologist. I think part of my problem (due to dry skin) is that I have no barrier.

A Clarisonic facial brush once a day in the shower combined with Cetaphil gentle cleansing lotion and followed by Cetaphil moisturizer. I swear by my Clarisonic brush and it's made a huge difference in the condition of my skin over the past few years. I have sensitive skin and am prone to adult acne which is a pain as seriously, I'm 40! But thanks to the Clarisonic brush, those little blemishes are few and far between. :worship:

I also use Laura Mercier makeup which I usually get from Sephora which is lightweight but hides any redness or imperfections really well. I had pretty bad skin as a teen so I'm very glad to finally have a system that works for me. :goodvibes

Thanks for all the ideas, I have never tried Oil of Olay products, I was actually thinking of giving them a try.

I have used so many things from very very expensive to lower priced, and I have lately just been washing my face with natural soap that my brother makes.

I do have Retin A cream, that I use at night, if I remember, and I do use sunscreen every day on my face

but my skin just looks like it needs a lift, like it isn't bright anymore, does that make sense? LOL

I was never a big face makeup person either, i just dust on a little clinique face powder. but that isn't cutting it now, and i hate the feeling of anything on my skin.

the person that mentioned Steiner, is that a department store brand? I have seen the ads ( if its what I am thinking of )

maybe a facial brush is what I need...........where did you get this brush,I don't think I have ever seen them.

i also get the occasional blemishes, but have dry patches as well!

I have some kind of pads that I use to wash my face. I can't remember what they are but I know right what shelf they are on in Target and if they ever move them I'm going to be pissed because it is the only facial cleanser pads I've found that do not lead me to either acne break-outs or dry skin. Come to think of it, maybe I should learn what they are - I think they might be Aveda.

Then I have some gunk in a green bottle that I use for moisturizer that my sister bought me. I think it is Andrew Weil or something like that. Little bit goes a long way on that stuff.

We had a thread about some ways to handle this if you're interested:

(Don't laugh about the Milk of Magnesia idea - it really works to knock out any zits and I still use it at night to keep my skin from getting too oily, esp. during my monthly cycle). There were lots of good ideas in the thread so I figured I'd pass it along. :flower3:
