40% off select nights/resorts in 2007

Just to clarify :

When I called, I had not yet found the email that was sent to me. Turned out they had an old-email address I never check. When I checked it - sure enough - there was the discount email featuring a picture of STITCH shredding a calendar.

So.. I definitely had the code on my account.

What are your dates?

I can't remember *exactly* which dates I called about as I kind of just randomly picked a week's worth (not a Sunday-Saturday week) in September (as we don't yet know when DH's school lets out for fall break). It was towards the end of September, though...as that's when his break was this past September.

So for those of you who are getting a code discount, are you receiving e-mail confirmations? If so, is the code listed on that confirmation sheet or does it note that you got a discounted rate or something?

I made a reservation a hour ago and haven't received a e-mail yet.:confused3

I didn't book it (we're holding out for free dining), but we've never received an email confirmation when we've called to book.

I called yesterday before I had the code being mentioned here today, and asked if I had a pin code. They did check for me and I was told no. I decided to try back tonight just to check and see if I could use the code or not without a pin. I just hung up the phone after getting the 40% off rate for our dates in Sept!! :cool1:

So, I called a total of 2 times and got the rate without a pin...worth a try to call back for those that want to. I was prepared for a big fat NO, and got surprised.:wizard:

Now, if free dining comes out it would be a better deal for us, but the CM I spoke to assured me that my current reservation could be converted if that happens. (and if I call when there is still availability for the resort I chose) He also said (because I asked) that they got a good response from the bounce back offer but not as many people booked as they anticpated :confused3 so he thinks they will still offer free dining to the general public.

Me too! This is a good deal but free dining is better. We missed the deadline for it last year by 2 days so I PAID for it while everyone else got it free! It has been killing me ever since :lmao:

I just tried again to post the code with no luck. The CM I spoke with said they all received letters yesterday saying not to book the code without the pin. So, who knows! Good luck to everyone else.:)

I don't want to get sucked in to this discussion, but here's an FYI for you all: I had that wonderful Boardwalk deal, deposit was made and accepted, email confirmation sent, I had it all in writing. Within 2 weeks, I got THE CALL and that was the end of that reservation. So, if you don't legitimately have a code (by the way, I've never gotten one and doubt I ever will!), you may not get the deal. But good luck to you anyway!

:cutie:

Going2WDWAgain

was it to end the reservation... or for you to pay what was owed on the balance (the full price)

I just applied the code to a reservation I already had.. and if they call me and say I can't use the code... will I just have to pay what I owed to begin with (the full amount) which will be no problem with me

OR will they cancel the reservation all together?...

does anyone know?

If there's a problem, you'll get a call from their Sales Dept. They will tell you what the true cost is and give you the option to OK it, or cancel it and get your deposit back. So you'll be fine either way! ;)

When was this?

Many had actually made FP for the Boardwalk offer and it was still revoked.

Piglet...i believe once they change your ressie the old one is gone. IF you get the call from the sales people just ask if they will revert it back to your previous offer they may depending on availability or just as a customer service gesture.

The Boardwalk deal was a HUGE mistake. Thats different. But I did have the same thing happen with my e-mail address. I get Disney related e-mail CONSTANTLY! But a few months back I was making a Dec. reservation and the cm told me I had a pin under my name for Jan-Feb. I never got a post card or a e-mail. I called last night to see what it was and the guy was annoyed that I knew about it. He said " Well, If you weren't notified, HOW do you KNOW that you have a pin?" I told him that a cm had mentioned it before, And he seemed bothered by the fact that she told me. ANYWAY, he said I didn't get an e-mail because they had the wrong address.:confused3

Ya know what else that nasty cm told me...The pins generally go to people who DO NOT visit very often, to get them to come back. The loyal guest can't catch a break I guess.

I agree, I'm usually told when making a reservations if there are any codes attached. When I made my reservation just recently for my trip next weekend the CM first checked the dates and told me there was a discount available for me for $69 for a value, I thanked her and said I was an AP holder and wanted to check on those rates. She then quoted me $59 a night which I took. My DIL just booked a package for August and asked the CM what the best rate there was and she was offered the 40% off the room portion of her THREE packages. She is a newbie and only took the guidance that the CM offered. She also did not have an account with Disney as she had never booked before. She was pleased about getting a discount, but she wants the free dining, so will continue to wait. If the CMs didn't tell me I had a code when I call I would never know. There are some very nasty CMs out there, but overall most are good.

I just called - no luck. The CM said "I have no idea how this is getting out!" Apparently, she isn't aware of the power of the DIS! Anyway, she said you can have all of the rate codes you want, but you must have a pin number to book this promotion. I guess I remain one of the unlucky ones. I get all kinds of Disney email, Disney shopping email, I have a Disney VISA card, etc, so I've yet to figure out the secret!
