I wish we could get on the good list. We're signed up for everything Disney, but nothing. Oh, well. Maybe the Disney Gods will smile upon my family soon.

Me too. A discount like that would really be nice.I was able to get the 40% deal today as well. The CM told me it was a general public offer and I had no pin code with my address/name. I hope this helps someone.
Ok.. first off.. any three letter codes I mention in this post are fictional and are discussion aids only.
I found a bunch of 3-letter codes. Including several different codes purporting to offer the 40% off value rates on selected dates.
I called CRO and asked about this. She said, well you need a pin to use any of those codes let's see if you have one - and I did.
Then.. for example..
ABC - this code was for 40% room discount only - no package
ABD - this code was for 40% room discount in package with tickets
ABE - this code was for 40% room discount in package with tickets & dining
Again - these are fictionalized codes.
But she was very clear that she said I needed to have a pin attached to my account to get at them.
I understand that others have had success without a PIN. Congrats. But....

You got the postcard that is the exact same discount listed at the front of this thread. My understanding is that it is a minimum of 3 night stay and any nights not in the discount period won't be at the discount rate. Call CRO to be sure on that.
The only week in MAY that is available for the 40% discount.. is May 28 to June 03. That's it. That's all there is for May.
The only other discount that's on-going for May right now is a package that gives you Waterpark Fun & More and Park Hopping for no extra charge on a base ticket when purchased with a room booking. ie: in a package.
Unfortunately, to get the 40% you'd have to travel in that last week of May or some other time that is listed on that postcard.

PS> Where I got the codes? These message boards (before they were deleted) and some other Disney message boards (which have since also deleted them). Even if I gave you the codes - it wouldn't help you anyway -- you already have the card with the discount code you need for the weeks it is available.
All the Zxx codes are PIN codes. There are "no" room-only discount codes for the general public available at this time. If there were they would be listed here with the Discount info on the site and at Mousesavers.
Time will tell if Disney will honor the ones that got them without having the PIN to match the code.
I'm suspecting that's true...but what I would like to know is why I had a cm AND supervisor tell me that it was a general code they could apply for me if I wanted to book the package I was interested in (and they told me I did not have a pin code for my household)? And I'm not the only one who that was told to.
We got an email as well but I guess it also depends on the availability of the place you stay at. We wanted to stay at the cabins since we have 4 kids. Should I keep calling?
For the record, I didn't keep calling and calling. I called only the once (and hadn't even specifically asked about this code, all I asked was if a pin code was attached to our household and I was told no but the other code was offered to me instead with the explanation that it was a general code, which was when I asked to speak to a supervisor to clarify). As to the supervisor part, have no idea. Unless the supervisor was just being kind and trying to make good on a bad situation.
Surely everyone realizes that if these codes were available to everyone, no one would have trouble booking it. Look back through these threads and you will see that many people were told No, you can not book this code without having the PIN to match it.
Only by calling and calling were they able to find a CM that would book it anyway. Did the situation involving the PIN change, No only the CM changed.
It is a mess and Disney really needs to get on the same page for everyone. It is not fair to either side.

Anyway, as far as being told no...I think [some] people have kept calling because CMs at CRO have been wrong about things in the past. For example, last year when free dining was offered again, I had to call 3 times to get a CM who told me "yes" (the others said no, I wasn't eligible. Huh? It was a public code!). Then talk about the number of times I had to call to get the CM to add an extrta day to that package and when I finally got a CM who added the extra day, he apparently didn't even know what he was doing since he was telling me the wrong month and dates, etc etc. Long story short, I wonder if some people simply think it's another case "CMs don't know what they're talking about again...." although I'm sure there are people who are intending to talk full advantage of a deal they know might not apply to them. Who knows.
But I definitely agree....it's a mess and Disney needs to do something about it.
