40% off select nights/resorts in 2007

I wish we could get on the good list. We're signed up for everything Disney, but nothing. Oh, well. Maybe the Disney Gods will smile upon my family soon. :-)

I was able to get the 40% deal today as well. The CM told me it was a general public offer and I had no pin code with my address/name. I hope this helps someone.
Me too. A discount like that would really be nice.

Here's hoping.

Ok.. first off.. any three letter codes I mention in this post are fictional and are discussion aids only.

I found a bunch of 3-letter codes. Including several different codes purporting to offer the 40% off value rates on selected dates.

I called CRO and asked about this. She said, well you need a pin to use any of those codes let's see if you have one - and I did.

Then.. for example..

ABC - this code was for 40% room discount only - no package
ABD - this code was for 40% room discount in package with tickets
ABE - this code was for 40% room discount in package with tickets & dining

Again - these are fictionalized codes.

But she was very clear that she said I needed to have a pin attached to my account to get at them.

I understand that others have had success without a PIN. Congrats. But....

OK but where did you get the codes??? I have the PIN card, but don't have the codes to see if my PIN is avialable to those codes. I want to travel in early MAY, am I outta luck? I tried today with my Postcard which only has like 10 different weeks on it. So I guess I am out of luck. Are these codes that need pins- posted anywhere? I did try for one code that I saw in a post and she said it was good for my dates and was able to quote me a rate, but I didn't think anything about this price was discounted. She did say that this code is a package deal. I only need a room only deal since we have tickets from a previous trip. Can anyone tell me the code that needs a pin for just a room only??? And are these codes different from the Email PIN I got in the postcard I received?

I am so confused. I just would like a 40% off room code for May.

Thanks!

Okay so my DH got the e-mail, but I haven't peronalyl had a chance to look it over yet. Is there a minimum of nights? Also, if we check in on the 21, would the code carry over if we didn't check out until the 24 like when seasons change?

You got the postcard that is the exact same discount listed at the front of this thread. My understanding is that it is a minimum of 3 night stay and any nights not in the discount period won't be at the discount rate. Call CRO to be sure on that.

The only week in MAY that is available for the 40% discount.. is May 28 to June 03. That's it. That's all there is for May.

The only other discount that's on-going for May right now is a package that gives you Waterpark Fun & More and Park Hopping for no extra charge on a base ticket when purchased with a room booking. ie: in a package.

Unfortunately, to get the 40% you'd have to travel in that last week of May or some other time that is listed on that postcard.

PS> Where I got the codes? These message boards (before they were deleted) and some other Disney message boards (which have since also deleted them). Even if I gave you the codes - it wouldn't help you anyway -- you already have the card with the discount code you need for the weeks it is available.

I also called to check on a code associated with my name today. The CM put me on hold and came back to say this was only for people with a PIN number. What puts me in a tizzy is that she verified my e-mail address. Well, it was wrong. It was an e-mail address that I haven't used for almost 10 years. I received multiple e-mails from Disney since then at my current e-mail. And, get this, I called three days ago to check as well and had that CM update my e-mail address. Obviously, that didn't take, or the CM didn't care to complete the task!!

Also, what bothers me is we happen to be going to WDW on one of the weeks noted as a discount week but have no ability to get a code, even though we have been to WDW every year for the past 6 years. So much for rewarding loyal customers. It's very frustrating!

Cameo:

I hesitate to say this - but play Agent Roulette. Keep calling till you get one that will apply the discount for that week.

I just got it for 2 nights at the CR Bay View! :) The Poly had NOTHING open, GF only garden view and CR only bay, no MK. Oh well, I'm going to keep calling to hope someone cancels MK view! :)

Thanks! I wanted to make sure there isn't another code I am missing. OF course, now I am confused because I did grab a code off the boards (It begins and ends with the same letter) and she said that would work for my dates in early may. It however was a full package with Tickets, hopper and waterparks and dining. Now again I did not think the cost represented any kind of savings, so I am guessing this is just a variation of the code that is for the Free hopper and dining from 4-15 to 6-2. Although it wasn't the same letters listed on the main board for the GP code. Those codes don't help me because I really only want a room only code.

SO there is NOT a room only code for 40% off rooms anywhere except for those limited dates on the postcard. Is that correct??? Thanks!

We got an email as well but I guess it also depends on the availability of the place you stay at. We wanted to stay at the cabins since we have 4 kids. Should I keep calling?

All the Zxx codes are PIN codes. There are "no" room-only discount codes for the general public available at this time. If there were they would be listed here with the Discount info on the site and at Mousesavers.

Time will tell if Disney will honor the ones that got them without having the PIN to match the code.

In my initial call, I was asking about a week outside of the dates listed on the card. The rep said that code did apply for those dates, but the price he gave me was full price - to the penny the same as I had priced online with no code. So despite his saying the code applied - it resulted in no savings.

So.. on a subsequent call, I moved the dates of our trip to match one of the weeks listed on the postcard and priced out the same trip. BIG DIFFERENCE.. 330$ in room savings.

The May and June is for upgraded tickets only to my understanding. There is no room savings on THAT package.

The ROOM ONLY discount so talked about.. only applies May 28 to June 03 .. no other week in May or June.

That's my understanding.. (sixteen phone calls and fourteen google searches later.. :) )

I'm suspecting that's true...but what I would like to know is why I had a cm AND supervisor tell me that it was a general code they could apply for me if I wanted to book the package I was interested in (and they told me I did not have a pin code for my household)? And I'm not the only one who that was told to.

As to the supervisor part, have no idea. Unless the supervisor was just being kind and trying to make good on a bad situation.

Surely everyone realizes that if these codes were available to everyone, no one would have trouble booking it. Look back through these threads and you will see that many people were told No, you can not book this code without having the PIN to match it.

Only by calling and calling were they able to find a CM that would book it anyway. Did the situation involving the PIN change, No only the CM changed.

It is a mess and Disney really needs to get on the same page for everyone. It is not fair to either side.

As a follow up, we were able to get the Ft Wilderness cabins if we went earlier. We saved over $900!

Well, I am going to call tomorrow... it can't hurt!

I just called the disney reservations line, and asked for a supervisor. I asked him about the whole ordeal, and he said that if they don't have the pin, no matter what the CM quoted them on, they will pay the full price.

Thank goodness I didn't give up my MK view room at CR to go for a garden view to get 700 bucks off the GV price!

For the record, I didn't keep calling and calling. I called only the once (and hadn't even specifically asked about this code, all I asked was if a pin code was attached to our household and I was told no but the other code was offered to me instead with the explanation that it was a general code, which was when I asked to speak to a supervisor to clarify). ;)
Anyway, as far as being told no...I think [some] people have kept calling because CMs at CRO have been wrong about things in the past. For example, last year when free dining was offered again, I had to call 3 times to get a CM who told me "yes" (the others said no, I wasn't eligible. Huh? It was a public code!). Then talk about the number of times I had to call to get the CM to add an extrta day to that package and when I finally got a CM who added the extra day, he apparently didn't even know what he was doing since he was telling me the wrong month and dates, etc etc. Long story short, I wonder if some people simply think it's another case "CMs don't know what they're talking about again...." although I'm sure there are people who are intending to talk full advantage of a deal they know might not apply to them. Who knows.

But I definitely agree....it's a mess and Disney needs to do something about it.

What are your dates?

I keep trying to apply the code with no luck. The CM I spoke with told me if I was able to book it without the pin code that was on the letter/email, that I would be getting contacted by WDW because they are for that household only.

As I was typing this, the very nice CM from WDW travel called me back...first time I ever had that happen...and told me that I had a flag on my account that said, "do not call/ do not mail"!! He was kind enough to take that off for me. Check your account if you haven't been receiving anything. I certainly never added that to my account. I want my Disney mail!
