40% off select nights/resorts in 2007

You have to click on the link I posted here, which will pull up a disney page with a bunch of different stuff on it. Once the page finishes going through the intro and loading there will be a video box. Under the box there are two boxes, the one on the left says "Dream big! Bigger! Big News! Today at 1pm EST, click here to discover more". Click on that box. There used to be a countdown (for some people it's still there) for me there is just a picture of the castle that says visit us at 1pm. Hope that helps.

OKay, I have tried to find the link you posted... I cannot. If I click on your profile & find all posts by andromedaslove I get "sorry, no results..."

Could someone please post it again? Thanks so much!

Just wanted to share what happened with me this morning. I did have a pin code for a room only discount and I called to change it to a package. The CM I spoke with looked up a code for me and applied it to my package. I do not know if he looked up the code because I already had a pin number or what but he went through many codes to find the right one. In the end my package includes 9 nights of Park hopping and dinning at POR for 2 adults and 1 child for $2454.03. I think that this is a great deal and I am happy that I was able to book it. Before this in case anyone is interested with our room only code we had the CR garden view for 174.00 a night that included taxes. The CR resort was no longer available for the package deal. Also, sorry this is so long winded, but the CM actually told me the code that I was booked under and I have never had this happen when it has been a personalized pin code.

So, it's after 1:00, has anyone seen any BIG NEWS? I try to click on the link, but nothing happens for me!

No big news - more adertisement. I'm not sure I even understand what is going on. It has pics of stars advertising YOAMD - and what is going on at the park.

Well I called to add my flight info to my ressie and tried to add "the code." The CM tried and said no, it is a pin code and can't be used :(

:headache: What a bummer! I'm sorry to hear this.:sad1:

I wish all CMs would give the same information. Is that really too much to ask?

When I called earlier today, I was turned down as well. I haven't ever gotten a pin code, but just in case this was for the general public but unadvertised, I asked. Nope.

Just out of curiousity, I compared the dates associated with the code being used and the wonderful weeks of disney advertised on their web site and they pretty much coincide with each other;give or take a day here or there. Wonder if these flyers are being sent out to some as advertisements to draw people in for these "light attendance" weeks and have the code listed on it, but don't require a specific pin/digits to use them for reservations. A few people have said they were told they didn't need a pin number, just had to know the code.

The only thing that bugs me is that is seems some CMs are using it to book and some aren't!

I'm with you! I will be fuming, if it turns out this was available to all, and I was not allowed to book it. THen, it'll be sold out and I will be left in the lurch...but if it is not truly public, and I call again to book it, then Disney will once again refer to me as "unsavory" and an "opportunist seeking to take advantage." Didn't feel good, to be called that by them once -- don't want to see myself referred to in that way ever again!

Wow, Beth- did a cm tell you that? I don't care what the situation, that is uncalled for! That is awful.

I second that Beth. There isn't anything that requires that kind of language to would-be guests.

Well, I suppose I asked for it by booking that BWI glitch last year. Either way, I think it was handled poorly...including those comments, in writing, and printouts of many DISboard posts. They even sought to connect us to our DISboard ID's. It was sort of mean and disturbing.

Anyway, it makes me REALLY leery about trying for this discount! I'd LOVE to cut the cost of a trip nearly in half!! I hope the AP discounts are almost as good. Here's to hoping.

Disney got print outs from the Dis-boards?????

A CM called you these things? Did you report them? I would have!

Yes they did. Some posts pointed out that it was an obvious glitch, others pointed out that YOAMD might have something to do with it. They highlighted the ones that mentioned Glitch.

That is why I think, if this 40% off thingy is just for postcard recipients, they can argue that everyone who booked it found out about it on internet boards, and had at least a reasonable suspicion that it's not for everyone.

That said, I wish I was able to book it just in case it IS legit!! Even with the $125 special rate, 2 rooms at the Swan, plus parking charge, for 7 nights is quite a stretch for me.

A few of us spent several months trying to get someone at WDW to talk to us. They stonewalled us...told us our options were to pay the difference to rack rate, or to cancel...but then they wouldn't return our calls once we had made our decisions. I finally got mine cancelled about a month ago.

If they call you all and make the same offer, cancel right then if you aren't going to accept rack rate! Otherwise, you might have a struggle cancelling, like we did.

Beth

Now if you get this deal ,do you have to book it only through Disney, or can you go through AAA?

At least one travel agent reported that she was told this is a pincode, specific to the intended recipient, and not to be booked for the general public. Seems that anyone who got it booked for them was NOT going through a travel agent.
