40% off Passholders PIN code

I am on hold right now. I am an AP and would love to upgrade to the WL but when I called earlier, i needed a pin and do not have one. After sifting this thread im going to try the pin-less flyer...lets see what happens!

If you get it to work, I want to know how. :goodvibes

I didn't. Actually this CM was kind of rude compared to the others. She flat out went "you need a pin" and that was it. i'm going to try again later, but it does seem like its the luck of the CM. I'm kind of upset, it seems I get overlooked all the time for these discounts. Never had one in the 3 years we go to disney and have been at least twice each year since 2005. Maybe thats why they won't give me one, they figure i'll probably go anyway :rotfl:

They're right!

OK...
I called, was on hold forever....
When the CM came on, I told her I was an AP holder and REALLY wanted to stay at POP at 40% off. LOL. . Ste asked me how many times I had been, etc..
I asked if I had a PIN I didn't know about....
She came back and told me I could have my POP PREFEREED ROOM at 40% off.
HOLY MOLY.
PREFERRED ROOM, By Pool in the 60's bldg.
SO CALL, YOU JUST MIGHT GET WANT U WANT.

If you don't mind my asking, what rate did they give you at POP? I may be able to swing a trip the first weekend in June if I get a really good deal on 2 connecting rooms.

Quick question...what if your current AP expires by the time you check in using this discount?
Not sure if I am renewing or not...silly question...not sure! lol
Enlighten me:)

Not sure with this offer but I have heard that if you book an AP rate they usually want to see a valid AP by the time you check-out, to give those that have AP vouchers a chance to redeem them. I'd assume it would be the same. Then again this is the first time I've booked an AP rate so what do I know! :)

My oldest daughter received a 40% off code in the mail yesterday. It's for the same dates as in above posts. She is not an AP holder. We were going to plan a January 2010 trip but I booked for the November 29, 2009....they are both value season but I couldn't use the code for January. I booked a Tower room at the CR (where we stayed a year ago), for 10 nights (this may change) and the first 6 days were 40% off, the other 4 nights are regular price. Now I just have to come up with the money....lol :confused3

They say you have to show them the AP when you check in...now in the 6 years since we have had AP's we never showed them but no way am I going to take that chance so I make sure I purchase or renew my AP before I check in

WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:
I just called the passholder line and got a WONDERFUL CM !!!
I told her I wanted to check rates and availability on one of the mentioned weeks for the "pinless" flyer and I got the 40% off rate too. I checked the Polynesian and the Comtemporary "Theme Park View" for Nov 15th - Nov 21st and was quoted $2288.28 for Poly and $1984.50 for Contemp. I'm sure it would have been much cheaper without the theme park view but I am addicted to that view!!!
The dining plan can be added onto these rates but they do add on a 1 day base ticket per person. Still not bad in my opinion.
I decided on the Polynesian.
Grand total:
$3054.60 !!!
Doing a happy dance
Now I need to decide, do I stick with Poly or change to Contemp? :confused3
Hmmmmm..maybe I want to try WL
Thank you OP....I love you  !! :rotfl:

If you are a passholder, you do NOT have to buy a one day ticket to purchase the dining plan. You can book a package called the passholder + dine package, which is room and dining plan only, no tickets.

During the free dining promotions, AP holders must buy a one day ticket to get the dining plan for free, but if you are purchasing it, you don't have to buy a ticket. I have done it twice and just booked it a 3rd time.

Oh, and I would go with the Poly. :thumbsup2

There's a number for passholders? Maybe if I tried that my luck would improve.

Well I tried again and the CM was adamant, no code, no pin, no discount, so I asked to be connected to a supervisor.

I got the same drill and not only that got scolded for reading "non truths" on that DIS boards forum. :lmao: She said that no one is going to get a discount without a PIN or a code, regardless of what is being said. That if for some reason they are, it will be caught by auditing and corrected. That many times a PIN is connected to the household in another name. But that there "must" be PIN or code.

They are all very scarey and mean, I won't try again. :scared1:

I have to say that I was also one of those people that never get a pin or a postcard in the mail, first because they have my wrong address and no matter who we talk to in the last 6 years or more can never seem to get it corrected. It has been years since my AP actually saved us any money. We have only been able to get a AAA discount and not all the time and we try to call as soon as the rates come out - each and every year. Years ago - whenever Mary put out the code we would call and be able to score - but in the past years nothing seems to ever match. Either the week we are going or the hotel, etc, etc. When I started to read this thread I lauged about it to my husband telling him almost everyone on here got something - had to work for it but got something...I said of course that will never happen to us and when it did I almost passed out. One of the only reasons left that I continue to buy the AP was to get the DDE card since that always saved us major money. My disney visa card now gets me the discount at dd and we never drive so free parking never matters to us. For the past few years I have been on the fence about renewing my card since we don't seem to be able to go twice a year. This is the first time in a very long time that we actually got lucky and only because of this thread. Also - Disney needs to just hire the folks from this board to do all of their bookings. It seems so stupid to me that all of us know more than the people we actually have to book with. They need to dump the lot and just hire whoever lurks on these boards. I bet their business would improve. Where in the world is there a business that survives by giving out different information to the same question over and over again?

Anyhow, do not give up is all I can say. We did not have the flyer and lied and when the lady asked what was on the flyer we were ready with saying the balloons with the dates in them and we needed the December dates and that seemed to tip it over in our favor. Again, why they make this such a difficult game to spend thousands of dollars is always beyond me.

I said that and they told me they would never send out a flyer without a pin so I would need to fax it to them. :confused3 I am obviously not meant to change my ressie.

I am starting to wonder if myself, MickeyNicki, and others who got the discounted rate really did have PIN's attached to our households. That would seem to be the most logical explanation. Why else would so many other people here be told, no PIN/code, no discount?

I was told "no PIN, no discount" too. The CM I spoke to actually looked to see if I had a PIN on my account (of course not, I never have gotten one). Then she told me (very nicely) that I couldn't have the discount.

I guess the CM that I talked to was just really ***COOL***.
First think I told her was that I was an AP'r and I was curious if there were any codes out there for ME and that I really wanted a value at 40% off.

That is exactly what I got. She did ask me how many times I had been to WDW, my email, addy, etc and got a preferred room during value season for 65.00 a night.

I would call back...maybe wait a day or two.
GL!!

Okay...I just lied :scared1:
I called back to try to book a second room for my parents and found out I did not get a passholder rate....I actually had a pin code attached to my name that I didn't know about and that was what the CM used :cool1:
What an awesome surprise!!! Same discount either way..I just have to get a one day base ticket to get the dining plan which I will apply to my AP renewal :thumbsup2
Thank you, Disney Pin Code Gods :worship:

Thanks for the resort advice, Mousefan !!! I'm going with Poly !

My flyer has a PIN and doesn't have the Passholder wording (though I am a Passholder). Weird.
