40% off only available for standard rooms???

I just booked 6 nights and 7 days at Animal Kingdom using the 40% off code for May 29-June 4. We're in a standard room with a view of the parking lot- I asked about different rooms, and was told by the CM the code was only available for standard rooms. Has anyone been able to book a package/room using the 40% off code/pin on something other than a standard room?

I think what the CM might have been trying to say ...

Is that the only rooms still available on the discount are standard rooms. A set number of rooms from each category are available for the discount. Once those are booked.. it becomes slim pickings indeed.

You might try a different resort if you like.

I booked the 40% deal at WL for the woods view but I really wanted the standard view and just hope for another free upgrade. The CM told me there were no standards available with this deal. I got that same answer on my second call as well. So, as others said, I think it is simply a result of what is available at the time of booking.

Thanks for this information. You are right, I called back and talked to yet another cm, and was told there were only standard rooms available. :-( I guess I can hope for an upgrade upon check-in...but I'm greatful I'm getting the discount!

I've been trying to figure that one out too

I'm wondering if I just have to ask the "CM" (is that the person you book your package with? i'm new with this "Disney" Lingo ) when you call to book your room.

June 14th? Nope. The only discounts that I'm aware of so far for June were the pin codes to select customers for 40% from May 28 to June 03.

Other than Annual Passholder rooms -- maybe -- in June.. you won't see a general public code. June, July and August. Those are what I'd call "The Money Months" for Disney.

Right up there with March and December. And when demand is high... simple accounting says.. you don't discount.
