40 days until VWL!! First time stay!

40 days & we will be checking in at VWL with a wild party of 9 for a family vacation. This will be our first stay at this property. (previous stays have been at SSR, AKL, & off property) Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

VWL is a great resort... you will love it! Be sure to check out the nightly movies on the beach. The Geyser is really cool too... try to be near it when it goes off. Whispering Canyon Cafe is fun!

I just love being able to take the boat to the MK from WL. It's so peaceful on the ride over, and then exciting when you pull up to the boat dock in front of the train station.

We are at the Lodge right now. It is our home resort, and after many trips, we still love it!! Be sure to listen for the crickets at night, the flickering lights along the pathways, the background music. For me, the peace and serenity is a huge draw. There are so many thing that the Lodge offers, enjoy the discovery!

Our kids had their caricature drawn in the main lobby on our last stay there. It came out wonderful. The artist was very talented. He made our oldest Peter Pan, and our youngest, Captain Hook. It is something we really treasure. (See my signature)
I simply love everything about this resort. From the "Bonanza" music being piped in when you walk around the grounds, to the animal "tracks", you will not be disappointed.
I'm sure your meals are already planned, but we had a lovely lunch at Whispering Canyon, and the most memorable dinner at Artist Point.
From the multiple dining options, to the close proximity to Magic Kingdom, VWL is, in my opinion, one of DVC's finest.
We're at BWV in 49 days! Our first stay there. Can't wait to experience what BWV has to offer.

Look for creature footprints in the sideawalks. The springs pool is fun to swim in. Sometimes at night, I walk up to the overlook and just take in the sight. VWL is far and above our favorite resort! (We have 7 home resorts, so that's saying a lot!)

Take the lodge tour. Go down to the beach to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. Check the front desk for times of arrival for it. Soak up the lobby if you can. Relax in a chair and look up.
