First time cruiser here so I've never been to the port. After dropping our luggage off at the curb where do we show the coupon to get the discounted parking?

Port Canaveral has partnered with 20 of our local hotels that now offer a Port Canaveral discount voucher at check out. The program is very simple. When making a hotel reservation with any of the active partner hotels listed below, tell them that you would like to take advantage of the Port Canaveral parking voucher program. During checkout the morning of your cruise, the hotel front desk will issue a voucher that you present to our parking attendant and you will receive your discount on the spot.

We have done this several times. After you drop your luggage and tell the security that you want to park in the garage, they will direct you to the payment booth. You give them the coupon, pay the fee and you are all set.

Used mine back in May, you now pay prior to parking and since you are using a coupon you have to show it to one of the attendants so they can readjust the automatic meter for the discounted amount. Be sure to have a copy of your hotel receipt as some times they check that also. This is all done after you drop off your luggage!

I used to use that link as well but they have added many more hotels to the program hence the pdf link I provided above which includes all of them.

You get the coupon when you check in at one of the participating hotels. Be sure to ask for it as they don't automatically give it to you.

According the the Port Canaveral Website you cannot prepay and used the coupon. as stated below

This sentence below, that safet01 has provided, pertains to pre-paying on the Port Canaveral website for a parking reservation. If you wish to make a reservation on the Port Canaveral website, pay with a credit card, then you may not use the discount voucher.

In the not so distant past, you parked at the Port and then paid for parking after your cruise. Now everyone pays prior to their cruise. It is at that moment that you would show the 40 percent discount coupon you received from the participating hotel.

All parking is either pre-paid, with a reservation on their website or pre-paid at the moment you are wishing to park.


Please note that you cannot use this voucher when pre-paying for parking.

Is parking guaranteed if you book at one of these hotels? Has anyone ever run into any problems with there being not enough space in the lot to use the 40% voucher? I get nervous that you cant make an actual reservation for parking if you plan to use the voucher.

I have never seen the parking garage or parking lot run out of spaces. DCL has their own parking lot and garage. They don't share with other cruise lines.

It's an odd process, at least it was for us in May.

As NCPAWPAW said, you drop off luggage and the porter will point you to the garage.

When you get near the garage, there are automated pay stations. Except, they aren't really 'automated' as there is a CM that stands there to help. Show the CM your 40% off coupon.

At this point, the CM took my voucher, walked about 15 yards to a little booth. He got a lanyard with a pass on it, walked back over to the car, waived the pass in front of a sensor, then took my credit card to swipe.

He then walked the pass back over to the booth.

My father was right behind me in line and had the same 40% off coupon. The CM repeated the process.

I don't know if there is a supervisor in the booth that has to verify that there is a coupon before allowing the pass out in the wild or not. It seemed an odd way to handle it.

Hi, does anyone know if they do this for Port of Miami?
