40% code and Deluxe DDP

I have a reservation using the 40% code and want to upgrade to the Deluxe DDP, but was told by reservations that I can only book the regular DDP with the code. Has anyone encountered the same problem?

When I made my 40% off reservation, the CM specifically asked if I wanted the Deluxe DDP (I stayed with the regular DDP).

Seems to me you may have gotten some bad info from your CM.

To date, this is NOT a general public code. This 40% off room portion of your trip is sent to select guests and those who have signed up at waltdisneyworld.com or have previously ordered the trip planning DVD.

I had a different code attached to my name. When I asked for the Deluxe DDP, I was told it wasn't available with my code. It seems the code attached to my name is older and was sent out in 2007, before the Deluxe DDP was cemented. So, even though the discount is only on the room portion, I can't even get the Deluxe plan to attach.

We also went for deluxe dining with no problem...we are using this as a relaxing vacation to enjoy other aspects of disney.
