Hi Everyone!

We are planning to cruise on the Disney Dream when DS will be almost 4.5 years old. Of course we don't know exactly where he'll be at developmentally by then but I wondered if others have had kids of that age go into the kids club and what their experience was. He won't know any of the other kids but he's quite accustomed to preschool/daycare settings with kids his own age so we're hopeful that others might have reports on whether their littles enjoyed the club?

Oh thank you for that. I think that he'll be more likely to participate that way. I was concerned he might get overwhelmed with the older kiddos! Thanks again!

Just a word of warning, my 3.5 year old found the open house on the Wish SUPER overwhelming and never wanted to step foot in the kids club again (which was moot because she wasn't fully potty trained). I'm not sure how chaotic the Dream open house is but I might factor that in.

My daughter loved the kids club on the magic. This was when she was freshly 4. She didn't go a ton because I wanted to do stuff with her but she was the one who asked to go after the open house. The limited info I got about what she did (again she was freshly 4) was she went on the slide, made crafts and friends. I also watched her make friends pretty easily when she was in the kids pool. The other kids she made friends with in the pool were probably ranging from 4-7. It seemed like a good friendly vibe overall the whole cruise.

Oh my, yes that's exactly what I was concerned about. I could easily see that being the case for him :sad1:

Thank you that gives me hope lol! I hadn't thought of the fact that he will likely make friends in the common areas who may also go to the clubs sometimes. He's pretty open to other kids so if we can avoid the initial association of the club with chaos at the open house maybe he'll look forward to seeing new friends there :thanks:
