4 Trips + 1 Premier AP = Priceless Memories ~ WDW Plans posted!

Wow...you sure got a lot done that morning. I love getting in early as you get so much accomplished and avoid the crowds. But I wonder if IASW was empty because no one likes the small boat to China? :lmao:

Love all the pictures, but Megan looks so pretty in the tea cup and she looks so grown up holding the baby.

Can't wait to read more.

Hi Kathy, I was quick happy we got so much done that morning! hey, some people enjoy the boat to china :rotfl:

thanks, I'll tell her! she had so much fun with Savannah...well when she could, the baby is a mama & daddy's girl and had to be in the right mood for anyone else to hold her! will probably do an update tomorrow....

What a busy day 1....

Gotta love air travel. You made it to the park pretty quickly!

How much is that AP? Just wondering....

Great pics from Carsland! It looks really awesome! I need to get to DL one day. :headache:

Love the group pictures. Too bad your dinner service wasn't good. At least you got a refund but I rather pay and have good service.

WOC is just amazing. How cool that you got VIP treatment!

Caught up... Love Megan's sparkly Mickey shirt!

You guys got a lot done before 9!

DL is soooo different than WDW...

Great drawings!

love doing direct flights and carry on only makes a BIG difference!

do you really want to know???? the premier is over $800 each...I crunched the numbers quite a few times to make sure it was worth the $$

you definately need to get to DL someday, especially to see Carsland (although rumor is floating around it might go into DHS some day) and WofC is amazing!
DL is different, but still lots of the same stuff as WDW...it is much easier to PH at DL though, no busses to wait for :thumbsup2

thanks for the drawing :goodvibes its always a fun time! and a free souvenior

Loved all of the pics of your EMH! How fun you got so much done and I LOVED your rosetta bags you know! You and Megan look so happy! :goodvibes I would love to see the Rapunzel show, I bet that was cute too, You got some amazing pics of the show action! Of course you were exhausted, you can't do that much touring without rest and not be exhausted! Plus your poor feet...did you find your new shoes? That will help a lot on the birthday trip! :goodvibes: Loved the pics of Tigger, ya'll have talent...maybe Disney could hire you! :cloud9::love:

Glad Megan's thumb is improving and plans are coming together for the BD celebration! It will be so much fun! :woohoo:

thanks Judy! it was quite fun to see how much we could ride before heading out to meet the gang! we had a great time! hope someday you can come out to DLR and see it all in person :)
yes I did get two new pairs of shoes...one is Sketcher Go walk, so comfy and the other is Sketchers slip on, both have great support and I'm bringing both to hopefully have happy feet
:rotfl: I'm not THAT good of an artist, just take my time and watch how the animator does theirs first!

I'm happy she's feeling better too! just hope we can find her a swimsuit tomorrow!

Kathy, you crack me up!!! :rotfl2:

yup :rotfl:

Tim editted his post...why doesn't it say so? :confused3:lmao:

 Tim!

he must have a "special" button :lmao:

I'm glad I could bring a little laughter to your day.

for me too :thumbsup2

If you do it quick enough, it doesn't tell on you. :lmao:

Hey Judy! I hope everyone is well. :goodvibes

well you must have some quick reflex's :rotfl2:

Joining in. Luvin all your pics from DLR so far.

I should be in bed. Went back to read your Haiti trip though the pictures and the views are amazing. Am in tears for you that must have been a very hard thing to do to visit the spot your DH died. Sending hugs to both you and Megan. :grouphug:

sounds like your DH is a good daddy :goodvibes Jim wasn't a great fan of DLR so was happy for Megan and I to go down for weekend trips when we lived in Modesto...he did love going to WDW though! keep on him, tell him you have some VIP's you need to meet :rotfl2:

Yes he is a very good daddy and the kids love all the time they get with him just one on one. Jeff doesn't mind DL and would love to go back to WDW but the airfare is what's stopping us since we'd have to pay for 5 seats and anytime I look it's going to cost us more to fly there than it is to stay there so we'll just stick with DL for now. When did you live in Modesto? I moved to Modesto in 1997 and moved back home in 2003. Probably crossed paths and never knew it. You guys are VIP's!! I have to meet you!!!

it was a journey we embraced, hard at it was...it was also very healing :goodvibes

that's great he is such a good daddy :goodvibes
airfare is always such a huge chunk of $$ miss being able to drive to DLR!
we actually lived in Salida from August 2005 - June 2010....was not my favorite place we ever lived in kind of got "stuck" there due to promises the guy Jim worked for and we stupidly bought a house...when the company went belly up Jim started his own company in 2007, which was a long time dream, hard as it was he LOVED every minute of it :goodvibes

sure hopes it works out we do get to meet!

DLR Birthday Trip update!

we are 14 days out until my girl is a teenager  starting to really hit me, can't believe she is almost 13!

our plans (since we are staying on property, we get early entry every day at 7am)

3/29 - p/u megan at school at 11am, go to mom's - she's our taxi! will only have carry on again and already checked in on-line, grab a light lunch at ariport, flight at 230, arrive CA 510pm ~ shuttle to DLH, check in, get settled ~ dinner at Steakhouse55 at 8pm! if we have some energy we might hop the monorail to DL for a bit

3/30 - early entry at DCA 7am! will hit our fav's and plan on lunch at Flo's V8...if weather is good, will probably go back to resort for some pool time, dinner at earl of sandwich...back to DCA later on...love the parks at night!

3/31 - Easter! breakfast at Storytellers at 8am...then taking the Welcome to DLR tour at 1030 - we go to both parks! will probably stay at DL the rest of the day and see the fireworks

4/1 - think we will do our DTD morning and sleep in a bit, lunch at earl of sandwich and hopefully some pool time....to DL in the evening we are doing the Fantasmic Dessert Party for the 9pm show, we've never watched F! at DL before so are looking forward to it!

4/2 EE at DL, ride a couple rides, grab breakfast at the bakery and then taking the 930 tour of Walk in Walt's footsteps! are VERY excited for this, it includes a stop in the lobby of Club 33 and wait for it..........................................................

WE GET TO GO INTO WALT'S APARTMENT ABOVE THE FIRESTATION

also includes lunch and a special Disney pin! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

we were supposed to have dinner at Goofy's kitchen, but I cancelled that due to our last dinner there...so will just wing it that night!

4/3 - our last day  plan on hitting EE for DCA again to ride our fav's then head back to DLH to check out, stash our bags and then go to DL for a bit, have lunch ressies at Carnation Cafe at 2pm, will hang at DL until about 430, shuttle picks us up at 520, flt home at 755, land at 1030pm, will probably be home and in bed by midnight!

day 2 - part 6

OMG - photobucket added the page #'s back at the botton :cool1: makes finding photos so much quicker :)

BUT ---- I can't copy any photos over to here :furious::furious::furious: will check later on so I can post an update!

Love your birthday trip plans! What a wonderful way to celebrate Megan's 13th birthday! The Fantasmic Dessert Party is the best and only way to see Fantasmic at DL. You get to sit down and have the best view of the show instead of trying to watch it from the ground. We did it once and also got to see some of the fireworks from the balcony afterwards too. When I was working, my company was part of Club 33 and I got to eat there twice. Once for my 25th service anniversary and another time for my sister's. That's neat you get to see Walt's apartment on the tour! Two more weeks! Your trip will be here before you know it.

thanks Gail! we have done her 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 birthdays at either WDW or DL, got to keep up the tradition :thumbsup2
am excited for the dessert party, yes it will be worth the money to have an actual chair! I think they've closed access to the balcony since they made it into a dream suite!
so jealous you got to eat at Club33, think its a dream for all DisneyLovers! can't wait for the tour and getting back to our happy place!

photobucket still won't cooperate with me :headache: heading out in a bit to pick up the girls....Karlees mom just called and we are going to meet for dinner out tonight before they head back home with Megan in tow for a sleepover!
will try to post update this weekend!

Hi - I just stumbled on your thread as I was searching for threads on Premier Passports... These forums are so wonderful like that- start out looking for info on ticket prices and end up on an emotional rollercoaster!:surfweb:
What an incredible story - my thoughts are with you for the loss of your husband - we suffered severe earthquakes here in our hometown in 2011 with the loss of 185 lives, but we are a modern, western city so can't even begin to compare with the massive tragedy in Haiti...
The work you and the other families are doing through the orphanage is amazing - your lost loved ones must be so proud of you all and the way you have taken your loss and turned it into such a wonderful initiative.
If it is okay can I PM you with a couple of queries about the Premier Passport?
(finding it quite hard to find much "official" info on Disney sites)
Love and thoughts to you and your family :goodvibes

I worked with someone who lived in Salida so I know where that is too. And my aunt still lives in Manteca so I still go out that way every so often. I really hated living in Modesto. Just was always way too hot for me even though I love the hotter weather. It does make it hard when you get stuck to do buying a home. Glad he was able to do something he wanted to do even though it was hard work.

I'm jealous you get to go into Walt's apartment. We've done the Walk in Walt's footsteps but it's changed since then. We got to go in to the lobby of Club 33 and a couple of us were joking that we were going to make a run for it upstairs. Our guide said she didn't think that would be a good idea. :confused3

yup I tried that, think something was going on with it when I tried, was not letting me post anything new either! will try again later, just got home from dinner with our friends, so yummy and I even splurged and got a margarita! Megan's off to spend the night with them, so I'm just checking the DIS then going to watch a movie and veg!

:welcome: and thank you for your kind words! it has been a rollercoaster and quite the journey for us....we have received so much support from all our "family in the box" here on the DIS :goodvibes
being a part of BeLikeBrit has been such a healing for our hearts and can't wait to go back to Haiti to meet the children who are calling BLB home!
sorry your town had to deal with the earthquake also, hope your family were all okay! Haiti was bad before the earthquake, at least the new president is making changes and the buildings are better than they were before...also a huge number of new hotels are getting built, they need the tourism back to get things moving forward!

sure you can PM me, not sure how much help I can be since we just purchased them 2 weeks ago....it is pretty much the same perks/discounts as the Premium AP

such a small world Sandra! went to Manteca a lot...yup the heat sucked there and having to drive to Sac or SF to have fun things to do!
I was happy for him too, even though it was stressful I am so grateful he had fullfilled his dream before he died...

I know the apt is something new for the tour and can't wait to see Disney History at its best! :rotfl: about making a run for it up the stairs at Club33, I'm sure we'd get tackled and thrown out of the park :scared:

forgot to add, we found Megan a swimsuit  not exactly what she wanted, but she's happy and it covers everything needed! also got her a new cover up!

Looks like a very fun filled birthday trip plan!!

I feel your pain about photobucket - I don't like the 'new' photobucket either.

:wave2: I finally made it over. Never mind that it's way past my bedtime! Love seeing all the great pics :) It looks like you all had loads of fun.

I love seeing all your pics. You did a lot that first day!! The kids loved looking at them too and they are getting so excited to be going to DW in a couple months! I love the drawings too, great job! How fun to be going back to DL to celebrate Megan's birthday!

Exactly!! That's why I like where I'm at now. Only about a 30 min drive to SF on a good no traffic day (which are few and far between)!! It is great to know he fullfilled his dream. I'm sure it's still hard to deal with but you are loved by a lot here who just want the best for all of you!!!

Yeah that was the consensus of the group that we'd be thrown out and now we can't have that!!! We did the tour back in June 06 (during the 50th anniversary) and we got to have lunch on the balcony of what is now the Dream Suite. Still miss the gallery being up there though. :sad2: I'd love to do it again but first I've got to get an adults weekend or someone to come with us to watch the kids so we can do it. They are too young and just wouldn't appreciate it yet.
