A little trip update....after all this is a PTR

still waiting on park hours to be released...hoping by this weekend really wish DLR would release them a bit farther out than 6 weeks, makes it tough to plan!

looks like we have one dining ressie after all for dinner at Goofy's Kitchen Sat night with Kris and her gang...they received a bit of for the trip which is so wonderful!

going to order Valentine and bday gift cards today for Megan and we will be finalizing our dining choices for her bday trip over the weekend so I can make those ressies in 2 weeks!


just got Megan up and she had a happy daddy dream last night, can't remember any of it, but knows it was happy

have a wonderful day! I have a few errands to run - target (GC to spend on ME) and verizon to get a new phone case, my other one cracked - then nail appt!

before I post an update...have a story to share....

Friday night during the tour of BLB with Cherylann, she stated that the 2 courtyard areas (currently covered with gravel) they would eventually switch them to be covered with astro turf.....a warm rush of feelings washed over me and I though to myself "That's it, this is the specific project we were looking for to add something to BLB" so after thinking it over a bit, I pulled Len and Cherylann aside and told them my plans.....we had raised almost $2,000 from Jim's bday fundraiser in October, including a very nice donation from Jim's bosses and company...I pledged to make the astro turf project a reality, which they were so thankful for!

so when we got home I put a call into Mike's office and talked to his wife yesterday....the most amazing thing! Mike said that they will take care of doing all the work and shoulder the costs of the project....they are such wonderful people to do give such a gift to us and BLB! I then called Cherylann and she can't wait to share the news with Len! we are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives!

so in a small way the project Jim was there to do in Haiti will become a reality!

That is just amazing! First, for you donating the money for this project and secondly, for Jim's company to cover the rest.

I forgot to add....they are going to name the area in Jim's memory " Jimmy's Play Place" my guy was always ready to play and was a big kid at heart!

That is such an honor... and Jim will be looking down on every kid that plays there.

Lisa- The views from the Hotel Montana are stunning. I'd like to think that Jim was at peace there. I don't blame Megan for staying behind. When she is ready she will want to look at the pictures you took and she will probably want to go there someday. Thank you again for sharing your story with us.

Hi Brooke....thanks for the hugs and your sweet words it has helped us heal so much with helping BLB! Jim comes to me in different ways, but I so want/need a dream of him letting me know I'm doing good!

I did - Megan woke up sometime in the middle of the night and crawled intobed with me...she couldn't go back to sleep, not sure what it was about, will ask this morning when she gets up!

today I'm working in the choir teachers back room with the booster club pres....the room is a MESS and we decided to get it all cleared out, organized and label totes with lists of what's in them....not sure how long this is going to take but it will make our lives easier too for the events and retreats!

I will try to do an update for the dance trip later today or over the weekend!

so I spent Monday working on some items for Megan's show-a-thon (dance) auction and did a version of the mickey head's my scrapping buddies & I did for a swap

I made them a bit bigger and attached each MH to a 4" canvas , thought they'd make cute wall art for kids rooms!

thanks! Megan is fine, she said she couldn't get back to sleep...
we got a good chunk done and lots of trash, will probably take two more days to finish up what we want to get done! still have 4 closets of costumes and props to organize too...and found boxes of old music sheets that need to get boxed and labeled, will bring those out for the parents to work on during the retreat next friday night!

Dance Trip plans....

3/2 flight departs 830 am - arrives 1109am -- take shuttle to hotel and get checked in...head to ticket booths to purchase our Premier AnnualPasses and then into MK to activate our PP+
will hang out there until we hear from Kris and then meet up with them...dinner at Goofy's Kitchen - not sure of time yet

3/3 DCA and get to Radiator Springs, get FP and then stand-by line, finish DCA and I think we will be seeing WoC

3/4 we don't have the performance schedule yet so not sure what time we have to be in DCA so will do MK until then

3/5 decide which park we need to finish up rides and then back to hotel at 1230 for shuttle pick up
flight at 320pm arrive in seattle 554pm...should be home around 8pm

as you can see not a whole lot planned...know we want to eat at EofS at some point...the rest we are going to wing it...hang with Kris and family and friends from dance...if we fit in fireworks, parades & shows too it will be a bonus!
