4 Parks + 5 Staples in the Baby's Head = 9 Magical Days!! (9/17 The Last Hurrah!)

Got back in town and then found out I'm pregnant, so I'm just now getting back to you TR. I LOVE the pictures of DD at BBB. She's adorable. :)

The picture of DS and X on the rides is precious. I'm glad you had some "boy" time alone. I'm sure the boys liked getting some time with just dad.

I don't want your TR to be over! You need to go back ASAP. :rotfl:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
That is definitely a good reason to skip out on the TR for a bit! :goodvibes

As for going back, I have a conference in Orlando in May and we strongly considered it but it would be too much for the kids.
They were starting to miss home towards the end of the trip.
We're talking about a 2010 trip - possibly even on the Disney Cruise Line since we loved cruises pre-kids.
But you still have plenty more of this TR left - we're just barely into the second half!!!
There's lots more to come!!

A voice from above quieted the assembly at the restaurant.
Each prince and princess was instructed to swing their swords and wave their wands over the Wishing Stars.
The host princesses encouraged all close by and the entire establishment was full of young ones wishing with all their might.

After a countdown from the voice above, all eyes opened to a sparkling of lights and music.
I found this somewhat anti-climatic and the younger ones were equally confused and unsure what to expect.
I was secretly hoping for an appearance by the Fairy Godmother but that was not to be.

As we finished our meal, I quietly reminded our servant of his promise to our prince.
He apologized profusely to the prince and then delivered his delicacy:

At this time, I excused myself and maneuvered over towards the portals to Fantasyland:

My timepiece indicated that 10:20 was approaching fast so we needed to take our leave.
I was aware that the Grotto of Princess Ariel opened for visitors at 10:00.
I thought it best to arrive before the queue extended too far as it had done previously.
I knew after delaying this visit for so many days, our princess would allow no other excuse for meeting her idol.
And now, with her royal transformation complete, it seemed the most opportune time.

Regarding the royal dining experience as a whole, it was quite enjoyable.
However, one can find a comparable, if not, superior experience at the Castle Akershus in Norway.
I would submit that the food, service, and engagement with royalty was even enhanced in Norway.
The assembly was not quite as congested and the princesses had more time to socialize with the visiting royalty.
Furthermore, the expenditure was merely one “golden” TS credit on the exalted Dining Plan.
The only aspect of the experience missing was the privilege of entering Princess Cinderella’s royal abode - the icon of the realm.
So the question remains – is merely the privilege of Cinderella’s Castle itself worth another “golden” TS credit?
After a princess transformation at the Boutique, it is an easy jaunt across the hall.
Those marketing scholars at Disney make it ever so alluring.
And I would propose it is an event every young maiden should experience once.
Alas, as DD comes of age, I venture that we shall be dining more in the hills of Norway and less at this luxurious location.
I imagine this conclusion to be of no surprise after reciting my observations throughout this noble account.

Now, I must take my leave as we set off in search of Atlantica!!

Before retiring from the castle once and for all, I thought yon readers would appreciate some knowledge of the portfolios.
As mentioned earlier, they are complementary with the dining experience.
They are exquisitely prepared and are saturated with detail.
The cover is adorned with Cinderella herself against a pink background.

For further inspection, I present a portait of the logo:

Inside is a gorgeous portrait of the Castle nicely framed by the portfolio itself and accompanied by Jacques and Gus-Gus:

If you remove the portrait, one finds a pleasant matte that could be used in another frame

Taken alone, this is a gorgeous shot of the castle which someone may want as a desktop background:

And one would be remiss to forget the princess’ favorite mice:

The adjoining page is a Photopass portrait complete with Suzy & Perla in the opposite corner

This one also includes a pink matte that can be used elsewhere

And, of course, a better view of the lady mice:

Lastly, the back cover is a royal summary of the experience and of the significance to your little princess

But, I digress. Let us return to the realm and voyage deep under the seas!

To the Capell family... Thank you for sharing your beautiful family and wonderful vacation with us. I have sat here all day laughing, crying, and rooting right along with you all!!!!!!!!!! Simply the BEST!!!!!!! What wonderful parents you both are. Your family is just so beautiful!!!! Thanks again and I can't wait to continue on in your journey with you. I'm also feeling like "our" vacation is coming to an end and I'm getting sad. Thank you so much again!

Precious! She couldn't have been wishing any harder could she have?

When I saw the photo from the window, I was wondering what it was that was under construction?? Pinocchio's Village Haus?? I just read they are making a new stage there for the 70th Anniv. of Pinocchio for a show to celebrate... Could that have been it??

The construction you see is the remodelling of Tinker Bell's Treasures into Fairy Treasures and Castle Couture.
I believe it's complete now but we didn't get a chance to visit...

It's actually a blast reliving all these memoires.
And it definitely makes me want to start planning another trip ASAP!!!

Photobucket just informed me that we have run over bandwidth yet again. :confused3
Apparently too many of you are checking out my pictures!!! :cool1:
So, my solution is to write a bit without the fabulous pictorial until it resets in a couple of days.

With that in mind, here’s my latest reason for being a slacker -
X’s 2nd Birthday party was held this past weekend.

You know Mickey and Donald are his favorite characters.
Well, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is his favorite show so we themed his birthday accordingly.
We made a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday!! :yay:

We rented a room and got lots of little Playhut tents and tunnels essentially creating a “hamster trail” for kids.
We filled a small kid swimming pool with whiffle balls and plastic balls for a ball pit.
In addition to balls, we threw in stuffed Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald dolls which were part of his birthday present from Mom and Dad.
The store even had a Thomas the Tank Engine table set up (X’s other passion).
We laid out musical instruments for a Mickey Mouse Club March parade during the festivities.
And we even had Mickey Mouse balloons, streamers, plates, napkins, plasticware, etc. :thumbsup2
We ordered pizza and mom made cupcakes
X and his little friends (along with DD and DS of course) had a BLAST!

So I apologize for the hiatus but I haven’t been on the computer as much as I’d have liked this weekend.
Not to mention that yesterday was a day of shoveling all this white powdery stuff. :headache:

Yeah, I was pretty happy with that one.
I figure she'll either love the picture or I can use it as blackmail somewhere down the line. :rotfl2:

Don't worry about it! Real life has to go on, too!

We'll be ready and waiting whenever you can post again.:goodvibes

Precious! She couldn't have been wishing any harder could she have?

Speaking of DD's wishes...
She revealed this week that she had wished that she could have breakfast at Cinderella's Castle EVERY morning!! princess:
How cute is that?

I just created a new Photobucket account for Mom and I can post the next couple of segments using that one.
Once the monthly bandwidth resets on the 1st account, I can switch back to that one.

Given all that, I hope to upload the pics and post a new segment tonite!
Thanks for bearing with me!

Okay, let's try this with the new account.
The old pics will not be available until March 12th but at least we can continue our story...

We departed the castle and headed back towards Fantasyland (after restroom stops of course).
We were running a little late so I took the boys and ran to Ariel’s Grotto to get on line.
The line was about 20 minutes (better than the 40 minutes on our last attempt).
I figured since DD’s princess transformation had just occurred, it would be worth the wait.

With the boys off to get on line, Mom detoured with the princess to get her changed.
She finally arrived and it was time to switch.
I figured while we were waiting, I should go grab a FastPass to make the afternoon go smoother.
I took X (who was getting antsy anyway) and headed out.
I grabbed FastPasses for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh for later and then headed back the Grotto.
On the way, I remembered the Dumbo Picture Spot so I put X in and grabbed a quick shot.
I thought it was cool that there’s a Dumbo ride vehicle specifically to take pictures with so I just had to take advantage of it!!
X was grumpy as he was quite tired and ready for his nap so I didn’t want to push him too much.
I took the quick picture which didn’t come out too good and then headed back.
Disney2008927.jpg

Back at the Grotto, DS was pleading with us to go play as Mom applied sunscreen.
Today was actually our first really hot and sunny day.
After the sunscreen, DS was given the green light and he ran out into the Grotto
If you’ve never been, there’s an area to run around and places where water shoots out if you step on the right spot.
We held DD back as she was now in her Ariel costume and we didn’t want her running around.
Instead Mom told her she needed sunscreen but she need to wait until X got his.
By the time the sunscreen was applied to both, we were almost to the cave.
To further explain, the line to meet Ariel winds around the back of the Grotto around the play area.
The pinnacle of the line is a cave wherein Ariel is sitting on a rock in all her mermaid splendor!
We were almost there so we called DS back and DD was literally bouncing with anticipation.
I grabbed a quick picture of her against the Grotto wall before we turned the magical corner to see her idol:
Disney2008928.jpg

The queue here is designed extremely well as you really can’t see Ariel until it is your turn.
When our turn finally arrived, DD ran in with DS following.
They climbed onto the rock and DD immediately starting telling Ariel about her costume.
Disney2008929.jpg

A photopass photographer is stationed there and took over starting with a nice shot of both DS and DD:
Photopass2008457.jpg

Photopass2008459.jpg

I like how the photographers here take one close up landscape picture and then another portrait version so you get Ariel’s whole tail.

Next was the two mermaids themselves.
Photopass2008461.jpg

Photopass2008464.jpg

And lastly, little X wanted to take the plunge and DD was ecstatic to show him off :cutie:
Photopass2008471.jpg

In hindsight, I’m glad it worked out this way.
I had originally planned for this to be the “Ariel” day knowing that DD’s hair and makeup would be great.
I changed the schedule when we reviewed it before we left and DD literally begged for Ariel to be on the 1st day.
If you recall when we arrived here on Day Two, the line had a posted 40-minuted wait and we skipped it.
But I think this worked out for the best.
And hey, sometimes anticipation of an event is better than the event itself!

Finally it was time to leave the Grotto and DD frantically waved good-bye to Ariel.
But there was lots more to do today and much more surprises for everyone.
And I conveniently mentioned we would see an Ariel show later in the trip so that helped.
It was about 11:00 and we had just enough time to make it to the Fairytale Garden so we rushed in that direction.
Tune in next time to see what we found there because it wasn’t what you might expect!

Ariel is my favorite princess so I just love the pics of your adorable kids with her! Looking forward to your next installment!

Random thought:
Since so many people love Ariel (including DD), I was surprised to find that the only border on Photopass was the Ariel signature.
There was no floral Ariel or princess Ariel border like with Cinderella and Belle.
I wonder why that is...
