I should be able to post about it right before you leave!!
When are you heading down?

Now, that's detour I could live with! Happy planning!

To understand this next segment, let me refresh the audience.
Mom is a huge Pooh Bear fan, and each child was given a Birthday Pooh Bear when they were born.
DS7 still hugs his every night to this day and talks to him everyday after school. pooh:
X knows and recognizes Pooh – the only character other than Mickey and Donald (and Eeyore) that is familiar to him.
So, needless to say, this ride is a big deal for our family.

We arrived at the entrance and X lit up pointing to the book and shouting
"Pooh Bear! Pooh Bear! Pooh Bear!!"
(or more accurately Ooo-air! Ooo-air!! ooo-air!!)

We breezed through the FastPass line but had to stop suddenly.
X almost jumped out of Mom’s arms and climbed the huge page so he could join Tigger on top of Pooh:
Disney2008969.jpg

We quickly jumped into our “hunny” pot before X got loose and started our journey into the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
Disney2008970.jpg

Starting with Pooh’s Blustery Day, X was entranced seeing Pooh Bear all around him.
It was one thing to hug him at breakfast and in the jungle, but apparently seeing him in action was even better!
Disney2008971.jpg

And one of X’s favorites is Eeyore or “EEEE-AWWW” as he calls him! :eeyore:

Disney2008979.jpg

Looking at that picture, it's funny how the speakers and wires are visible.
When you are in the ride, you are transcended into the 100 Acre Wood and never notice such things.

Next was Owl’s House and I made sure to point out to Mom the picture of Mr. Toad handing over the deed to Owl.
I didn’t get a picture since I know there are really good ones of that online.
Anyway, the boys (not to mention Mom) were soooo excited by now.
And then - around the corner was a surprise. PEEK-A-BOO! :tigger:
Disney2008973.jpg

The boys barely glimpsed good ol’ Tigger but then made a game out of pointing and shouting each time he jumped up (or swung down).
More giggles definitely ensued and then he bounced out in front of us…
Disney2008974.jpg

…before knocking down a silly ol’ bear.
Disney2008975.jpg

I always loved the Tigger Hunt part of the ride the best.
And if my words haven’t shown you just how much of an impact that Tigger and that silly ol’ bear have on our family, how’s this?
Disney2008978.jpg

Next was the dream sequence and I like how the dreaming Pooh bear rises out of the sleeping Pooh bear.
However, I was never a big fan of the Heffalumps section.
It's mostly just giant carboard pictures of silly things.
But finally, Pooh Bear gets his hunny and all is well.
Disney2008982.jpg

Exiting our hunny pots, we are led into the store and the kids spotted Pooh and his pals everyone and were ecstatic!
But there was no time for shopping right now.
We left the Hundred Acre Wood for a Sorcerer’s Adventure with…. Donald!?!?!?
Grab some 3-D glasses :3dglasses and hold on to your hats – sorcerer’s hats that is!

The pictures of the boys are adorable! They look so excited! I'm looking forward to the next installment where you visit one of my favorite MK attractions:lovestruc

I agree about the speakers and wires...we've been on that ride many times and I've never noticed them!! We love WTP too!!

Lucky you to get another trip to the world!! We leave April 28th for 12 days and can hardly wait!!:cool1:

I am so relieved- the Heffalumpls and Woozles didn't get us afterall! Hurrah for Pooh Bear, and his honey victory!

I have been reading your trip for the last few days and am finally caught up. I am enjoying it so much. You all look like you are having the best time! I love the little princess pictures. Your daughter is so cute in them. It is so neat to see a Dad enjoy WDW so much. My husband really enjoys it too, but wouldn't want to admit it. Thanks for sharing, your words and pictures have made my day happier.

Happy to oblige and welcome aboard!
Yeah, Disney is definitely starting to become a home away from home for me.
Despite the hustle of bustle of getting everywhere and doing everything, I find myself just so relaxed to be there.
I can't wait to go back - if just for a day over Spring Break.
I am a bit worried about the crowds but our agenda is limited to it should be fine.

The BIGGER NEWS - I just finalized my plans for a conference in Orlando in May.
So after some research, I plan to upgrade my April ticket to an AP and then tour every spare moment I get during my conference!! :cool1:
It will be my first solo tour so that should be interesting.
The bigger issue will be trying to pay attention at my conference!!
Needless to say, the DIS will not be getting away from trip reports anytime soon...

Speakling of which, I hope to post the next bit of THIS trip report tonite.
Everyone have their 3-D glasses? :3dglasses

After a quick look-see in Pooh’s Thotful Shop, we headed over to Mickey’s Philharmagic.
I always love the details in here from the opening poster...
Disney2008984.jpg

including the backside of the opening poster...
Disney2008985.jpg

...to the advertisements of all of the other “acts” in this venue including, of course, DD’s favorite…
Disney2008986.jpg

We made our way into the pre-loading area, grabbed our glasses, and got ready for the “automagical” door to open.
Disney2008987a.jpg

Even X was ready to go!
Disney20081152.jpg

We listened to the Fab Five stumble around the stage trying to get ready and then we were off!
The show, as usual, was fabulous and with Donald as the main character (after stealing Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat), X was having a ball! “DUCK! DUCK!”

I love all the effects in here and I notice new details both in the theatre and within the film.
The mist for Ariel’s underwater sequences and the smell of Belle’s feast are just more great Disney touches.
This is always a “must-see” for us and one of our family favorites.
And, of all the 3-D/4-D experiences, probably the one least frightening for X.
He definitely didn’t like It’s Tough to Be a Bug or Honey, I Shrunk the Audience but this one he sat for.
At last, Mickey saved the day and put everything right.
And I love the finale of Donald’s butt in the back of the theatre as he blasted through the wall.

Now it was time for our big split of the day.
Mom and DD were heading for their “Girls Afternoon” while I took the boys for a “Guys Adventure!”
We’ll follow the guys first (which hopefully will give Mom enough time to write something for the gals).

Another great installment. Now I really can't wait until my trip!!!!! I love this show!:cool1:

Finally caught up. Love your description of dinner at CRT (yes, that is how far behind I was:sad2: ). As always, the pics are just wonderful!

Philharmagic is one of my favorites also!

Will have to catch up with your family's adventures in a couple of weeks when we get back :goodvibes

Glad you're back.
Unfortunately alot of people must have been catching up.
According to photobucket, it's been 8 days and we're already over the bandwidth limit for the month! :scared1:
I'll just stick with my new account for the next several segments.
Sorry if you're looking for older pictures - they'll be back come April...
I hope to get some new segments out this weekend.

(Good news - it doesn't look like photobucket too my pics offline yet!)

Great TR! Just got caught up... I'm a Dad planning our trip this June. Looks like I need to get ready for my schedule to change by the minute. :scared:

It's not too bad but the little ones definitely drive the schedule.
It's all about what they can handle and what they're enjoying.
Just be flexible and you'll be fine.
Hey, it is Disney after all so you can't go wrong! :thumbsup2
