Ok, so we can not make up our minds on what parks to devote full days to and what to devote half days to? We have a 3 day hopper so we want to see all 4 parks in 3 days. We want our little one to have things to enjoy at the parks and get tons of pics with characters and such! Pictures will be one of my main goals! So that is something I was trying to think about...where can I get the best pics at? I am sure we will do a full day at MK but as for the rest I can not decide..any kind of schedual you would stick to with them? Thanks for any help! I know I have been bombarding you guys with questions! You are soo helpful! :cool1:

I just about had my entire response typed out to you and then I do not know what I hit, but it disappeared! So....lets try this again!

If I had 4 parks to do in 3 days with a 2 yo I would definitely spend at LEAST one full day at the MK. My next choice for a full day would be MGM, there will be lots of character interaction there and some great shows for the little ones. If you are able to finish MGM in less than a full day, depending on what the adults want to do, I would head back over to the MK. Normally I would not recommend trying to do either AK or Epcot in a 1/2 day (there is no way that you will make it through Epcot in a 1/2 day...or a full day for that matter), but if you have your heart set on seeing all 4 parks this would be my choice. AK has the least amount of attractions out of the 4 parks and Epcot will probably not keep your 2 year old interest as much as the other parks. If you have any extra time at all I would spend that time going back to the MK, after all the MK was made for kids (and young at heart!) and I am quite certain that you will mind the most magic for your Son there and TONS of great photo opportunities! If you have any questions, please PM me. We took our oldest DS for his first trip when he was 2 and we just returned from celebrating his 5th birthday along with his baby brother 8 months old! No matter what you decide I am sure you and your Son will have a great time! Enjoy!

I think a full day at MK with a 2 yr old is way too much overload. Most likely he would be very very tired and cranky. I would DO MK in the morning, rest, swim down time and do another park in the evening. Then I would do MK in the morning again. All the parks have a number of meet and greet areas to get pics and autographs.

It all depends on the 2 year old! My DS (now 5) doesn't require much sleep and on his first trip he was 2 and we did an 8 day trip all which were full days (from opening until closing of parks). When he was ready to rest we would just recline the seat on his stroller and he would take a little cat nap. Besides....this family only has 3 days to do 4 parks, they are looking to get the most out of their vacation and spending time at their hotel isn't something I think they will want to do.

We are in the same situation, except I also have an 11 and 13 year old, so I have decided to do things with my 2 yr old, and let me husband run around with the older ones. I have tentatively planned to do the following schedule, with each day taking a break midday to go back to the hotel for a swim/nap for the kids: First day AKL in the am, and MGM in the evening; Second day MK all day; Third day EPCOT or MGM in the morning, and EPCOT in the evening. Hope this helps! :wave2:

We took our 2.5 yo dd, almost 5 yo ds, and almost 13 yo ds to WDW for 10 days at the end of May. My detailed plans were shot before the end of our first day; but that was ok since I kind of expected them to be. I knew that dd and younger ds woud prefer MK to the other parks, but I didn't realize how much. We spent the majority of our stay at MK!! By the end of our trip, dh was saying, "Please, can't we go to another park?!!" But, of course, the little ones kept requesting MK. Of the other 3 parks, DS/MGM had the least appeal to my little ones. It was just too hot at the outdoor shows, the 3-D shows were sometimes frightening to our dd, and the crowds made just looking around nearly impossible. We did see far more characters at DS/MGM, but the lines to get autographs/photographs were extremely long. Other than that, there wasn't much for the little ones there. At Epcot, the different peformers kept our children entertained. AK was a big hit with all 3 kids but also extremely hot. We found that we could only stay a couple of hours at a time before we found ourselves just wandering around with no direction. In general, just too hot!

We did find ourselves splitting up several times so that dh or I could ride something with our older ds. Fortunately, our older ds likes to do things on his own. He had no issues with riding by himself. (I was definitely NOT like this at his age. I can't remember a single trip to WDW growing up without a PACK of friends along.) Getting reunited was often problematic for us. We each took cell phones, but tossed them into the same backpack. Of course, a cellphone does you no good when the person you want to call has both yours and theirs! Also, parades and other obstacles would interfere. After a couple of days, we began sending our ds to DQ on his own with a phone. He had to check in with us every so often, but this was never a problem.
