So...booked 5 nights at BLT for next May. We want to head down for F&G and see Illuminations a couple times before it goes away. I might have the opportunity to book BWV, but, only for 4 nights. If it were you, and Epcot will be our focus on the trip, would you do 5 nights at BLT or take the 4 nights at BWV?? I'm leaning towards taking the 4 nights at BWV (if available). I'm not sure how the monorail would work for our late night returns. Staying at BWV will probably save us a couple hours/day in transportation time.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts!!

If you plan to see illuminations a few times, the short walk back after is well worth it. You could be back to the BW area in 10 minutes, verses 45+ on the monorail back to BLT. Remember no bus to BLT from EPCOT, monorail to TTC then switch monorails for BLT. You might look at a split stay, 2 at 1 then 3 at the other.

If your main focus will be Epcot, then I would go BWV. Even with the 1 less night, the time you will spend going back and forth from BLT to Epcot would burn up the extra day. Even if you weren't going to Epcot, between the two, Boardwalk would be my choice, having stayed at both. Have a great time whatever you choose!

Thanks! I agree with travel time equaling another day! Wish me luck tomorrow morning that the 4 nights are still there!!

Got the 4 nights in a Studio garden/pool view at BWV. I also booked a 1 BR for the 5th night and waitlisted a studio for the same night. Hopefully the waitlist will come through and we'll get our 5 nights in a studio! Thanks for the input!! Walking home from Illuminations is SO much better than taking Disney transportation!

We are at BCV now, and watched Illuminations the other night. BCV/BWV are so convenient for Epcot, and we too have a trip planned in April again in BCV, to watch Illuminations. I love the music they play as you walk out from The Tapistry of Nations/Dreams.

We stayed Boardwalk first time this year. Beyond expectations it has become our favourite resort by far. Location was always good, but it just has something about it in the atmosphere, the clown pool we also really liked, again I wasn’t expecting to. We had walked around the resort numerous times and my wife was not bothered about staying, but now I’m struggling to get her to try other places.

We love staying at BWV during F&W. Its great at the end of the night to have a short walk back to our resort instead of fighting the crowds for the monorail or buses. If we leave another park early, we can walk over and see Illuminations.
We also can walk to HS easily. Love the atmosphere of the Boardwalk at night.

I'm pretty excited about the trip! I do hope the studio comes through. It's a Thursday night. Even if it doesn't, we'll have 5 nights at the back door of Epcot. It's all good!!
