4 night Fantasy concierge or 7 night Treasure Inside?

Hello! I'm looking at our second cruise, our first was concierge on the Wish. It'll be myself and my 6 year old daughter, and I can't quite decide on doing the 11/30 - 12/4 Fantasy with stops at Castaway\Lighthouse, or doing an inside stateroom on the 11/29 - 12/6 Western Caribbean on the Treasure.

I'd love to get her into the BBB and do the Royal Court, which I hear is hard unless you are a platinum or higher, which is partly why I was looking into the shorter concierge trip (and to get a cabana).

Any thoughts on which way to go? Thanks!

I wouldn't do concierge just to get a cabana, there aren't enough cabanas to go around so it's still possible to end up on the wait list.

I've gotten BBB as a silver on both a 4 night and a 7 night, so I'm not sure I would book concierge just for that.

On the flip side, I'm not built for inside staterooms so I would probably do the 4 night.

I do also very much like the concierge lounge, ease of embarkation and disembarking, the special character greet, etc, so not just the cabana, but we were able to get one last time submitting requests one second after they opened :). I just wish it was at least a 5 night instead of 4 :/.

My brain missed you did concierge the first time around.

Given that, going from concierge to inside stateroom might be hard!

I would definitely do Fantasy concierge simply because I like those ships far better than the Wish class. We did the Treasure last month and liked the Dream much more. Concierge is also a huge perk.

what about not doing the concierge and saving the money for a future trip? cruise number 3 will be right around the corner!

4 nights is just too short for me. I’d pick the 7 night treasure inside room from those choices. But honestly, I’d wait and save up so I could do a balcony for 7 nights if that was an option. We’ve been sailing DCL concierge for 15 years and we frequently go back and forth between concierge suites, concierge regular rooms, balcony rooms, and even a few insides here and there. Every trip has been amazing no matter which room we’re in!

The Inside room on the Treasure, Wish, Soon to be Destiny, are TINY. And I say this as someone who has no issue generally staying in an inside room on the classic ships. I would watch some videos to make sure you will be okay with such tight space for that long. Is a Fantasy B2B in an Oceanview room (or even an inside room) an option? I just don't think there are enough concierge perks to justify the cost.

If those are your only choices, I would opt for the 4-day cruise. I think going from concierge to an inside stateroom will be tough and I am not a fan of the Western Carib. port stops. If it were Eastern, I would probably opt for the longer cruise.

We were able to score BBB for 3 kids as non status having cruisers on the Treasure during spring break. You don’t need to be Platinum IMO. We were able to also get the Adventure tea for 3 kids as well, but my friend had to do a bit of stalking for that one.

It is 10 sq ft different. With 2 people I'd still choose the longer cruise.

Its the layout (especially in the sideways rooms). The Wish\Treasure already do not have as much storage as the classic ships and then the layout and 10 sq ft when you are talking about so few sq feet you can really feel.
This is very true! We are generally inside room people. We've stayed in ocean view and a verandah when we were assigned there with a GTY, and they were great. We typically choose inside to save the money to go on more cruises and it works for us. We're two adults with no kids.

We recently stayed in an inside cabin on the Treasure and I will agree that they feel much smaller than on the classic ships and that the storage is poor at best. We were still fine with the two of us, but more than that would have felt cramped for sure.

Really disappointing to hear yet another way DCL went with poor designs on the newer ships.

I would try to do 2 sailings on the fantasy in a verandah cabin. We weren’t fans of the Treasure and only 4 nights on the fantasy is too short!
