I'm wondering about where all of you 4 person families sleep in your cabins. The brochure shows a full sized bed in an area with a curtain divider. Then there is a sofa that pulls up to make a bunk I think. When you put the kids to sleep, do you put them in the full bed together so you can stay awake and move about the cabin with your spouse? Do you put the kids in the bunks and hang out in the large bed area? Do you seperate the kids- one in each area?

Also, do you find that generally you all go to bed at the same time? Do you find that one adult stays with the kids while the other one goes out?

Just curiious.

We just returned from the Magic in June-have a 4 and 5 year old-we found that we usually all went to bed at the same time-about 10:30 or 11-we usually don't stay up too late at home so that didn't hinder us at all-we put the two children on the fold out bed and the bed that was on top--my husband and I slept on the full bed-we would watch a bit of the TV-or sit on the verandah-the children were out cold in a short time so the TV didn't keep them awake-I am an early riser so I would just go and get a coffee and relax on the decks for awhile until they all would get up--

There is a queen bed, a convertible single sofa and a pull-down bunk in staterooms that sleep four. The sofa is not a pull-out like sleeper sofas, so the bed does not take up additional room.

We had a category 4. There was the two twins pushed together to make like a king size bed. Then there was a fold out couch and a bunk that came down above that. We also had a murphy bed that folded out, so our cabin would have actually slept 5. We slept in the big bed and the girls slept in the "bunk beds". We closed the curtain. We could still watch tv and if one of the adults wanted to leave the other would stay with the kids (who were normally asleep by 8:00. I think Barb has pictures on her site at www.castawayclub.com .

On our 4-night, our two kids traded off sleeping in the fold down and the fold out. There is a curtain between the big bed and the two smaller ones so that (like iluvorlando says) one age group wants to stay up, the other can sack out (I think the first couple of nights us old folks collapsed first..... probably from the exhaustion of several days in the parks before the cruise)

I'm confused! DH and I stayed in a Cat 5. We had no need to open the couch and we assumed it slept 2. Where is the pull down bunk? How could we have missed it?

The couch top folds down to form the bottom bunk, and the top bunk drops down from the ciling. It's quite neat, as you would never realize it by just looking at the ceiling. Barb does have pictures on her web site!

Not every cabin has the pull down bunk, so you may not have missed it, it just may not have been there!

Thanks Dave. We could easily have missed it. Unless they gave us a cabin without one (#7118) because it was just DH and me. I'm glad to see how it works. Our kids will probably be joining us on the Wonder next year and they'll be happy that they don't have to share a bed.

We had a category 5 on the Wonder, 7638 (handicapped accessible). It had a king bed, and a sofa which converted into a bed, and a pull-down bed for the 4th person.

However, the bed for the 4th person did not pull down like a bunk bed (as we had been told) but instead was a Murphy bed which was pulled down from the opposite wall. Unfortunately, the 4th bed completely blocked access to the veranda all night, which was a big disappointment for me since I was sleeping in the king bed (near the entrance from the hall). Of course, the 4th person could get onto the veranda, but no one else could without climbing over that bed.

However, we were all very comfortable and slept very well in our respective beds.

I read the post by Otisp and thought iluvorlando was a website! duh!!!!!
