Glad to see some college age kids cruising--we also have my son's friend with us, age 19 and my mom and dad.

We have the first dinner seating.
We usually travel with about 13 ---the big groups are a lot of fun--I guess we'll see your table in the center of the dining room!!

Cabin: not known yet, second dinner seating (looks like we're alone with this seating), would love to meet, driving instead of flying, and heading to Disney afterward (don't know where we're staying yet).

I tried to quote Grumpy4Ya's post, but it won't quote an already quoted post.

Please note that my handle is LVaughn, not LVaugh as has been posted. I've corrected it in the quoted section. Thanks.

Sorry LVaughn, thanks for the correction. We are headed back for one day at WL after the cruise as well.

Grumpy4Ya looks like we are in the same neighorhood (about 20 doors away).

I think I read that Beth A has cruised before. Anyone else? Where and when would be the best place to meet? Maybe Castaway Cay for lunch or maybe some time during the at sea day?

I am in 7092. I can hardly wait! We arrive at VWL on 12/23 before our cruise. We have made reservations for a sleigh ride. Has any one ever visited Gaylord Palms Ice Display? We were thinking of going here and trying the buffet at Villa Flora.

We cruised on the 3 night departing 7/6/06. It was a family reunion. Lunch on Castaway Cay sounds nice, but it's the last day of the cruise. DW and I were looking at heading to the spa on the day at sea, and the kids were looking forward to spending the day in the Oceanneer Lab. How about meeting before the New Year's Eve festivities somewhere? We'll be doing the dolphin encounter that day, but anytime after that is good for us.

I looked up past navigators. There looks to be 2 tours- 9:15 and 12:45. Which one are your scheduled for? We plan to hang out on the ship and relax before the festivities. We are early morning larks so if you would like to meet before your excursion that could work too.

Tossing in my two cents in regards to a meeting date and time, for our schedule, either the day we board, say around 3 or 3:30pm maybe near the Goofy Pool or the Promenade Lounge (I think they allow kids in there), or on the Sea Day, anytime. On the Nassau day, we are also doing the Dolphin Swim, first thing in the morning, and then I wanted DD to see some of the history (nice extra credit since she will be missing a couple of days from school) and checkout some shops in town. An afternoon meeting on 12/31 might work, but I was just worried about cutting it too close.

I agree with the meeting on the first day, on my Dec 2, 2006 cruise we met the 1st day between 2:30-3:00 and it was nice to keep running into each other throughout the cruise. I think New Year's Eve & Castaway Cay will be too busy and by the time the day at sea comes we have Palo and Spa Treatments.

We're doing the dolphin encounter from 9:20 to 1:35. Looks like we'll be with Grumpy4Ya's family for that. DW and I might do some shopping in Nassau afterward. I was just figuring if we met earlier in the cruise, we'd be able to meet more than once. We enjoyed being on deck for disembarkation the last time. The kids liked watching the other ships as we sailed past them. We can plan on meeting you guys by the Goofy pool if you'd like. Looks like our daughters are close in age, Grumpy4Ya. Mine turned 8 a couple of weeks ago.

We will be with ya too! We have the dolphin excursion at the same time.

Has anyone seen a Navigator from last years cruise? I am trying to find out as many details as I can about New Year's.

LVaughn, glad to hear you were able to get into the Dolphin program this time around, I remember from a previous post of your's that it was booked the first time - Good for ya! A belated Happy Birthday to your daughter as well!

I agree with LVaughn and Katie that an earlier meeting during the cruise would be nicer, and early in the afternoon of the boarding day it seems that there are typically not many functions schedule, other than orientations. I like the 2:30 - 3:00 time frame more than my original thought. That way there is still plenty of time, before and after, to explore, visit the Explorer Lab, Manditory Drill, etc. The kids would probably rather be up-top rather that below decks.

Katie, I too have been scowering the internet trying to find more info on NYE functions. Not much success. I did come across a cruise report for last years Wonder NYE http://www.disboards.com/showthread...rid=&highlight=wonder+cruise+nye+new+year+eve A little vague, but their itinerary sounds really similiar to your's, LVaughn and mine.

In anticipation of New Years Eve, I am curious as to what manner of attire my fellow DIS cruisers intend to don for this festive occasion? :groom: Thought it might be fun to see how decked out or “casual and comfortable” everyone plans on being for NYE. Tell us about yourself and your whole group, if you know.
party:

As for us, I’m leaning towards the tux (with vest, can’t stand cummerbunds, and “special” cufflinks) – dw, undecided as of yet – dd, nice blue & white, off the shoulder floor length dress.
