Monday 26th September
Today was the BIG day....this was the day Ieuan and my Niece were looking forward too.....the Wizzarding World of Harry Potter
We had got our park ticket through Virgin, this gave us early entry, Free parking and breakfast in the 3 Broomsticks.
So we were all up bright and early....5.30am....in the car at 6.30....at IOA by 7.15am for Breakfast.
A virgin rep was outside the park and they were checking tickets and giving out free HP pins.....the family in front of us didn't have the right paperwork and they held up the line for quite a while and still were not alowed in.
We went through the gates and we had to wait to be escorted through to WWHP.
We all had tatoos today.....
The WWHP was breathtaking....we were all blown away
We went into the 3 broomsticks for breakfast which was just toast, porrige and danishes....nothing special but we knew it wouldn't be.
We were quick eating and headed out to line up for Olivanders.....we were the first ones in but unfortunatly didn't get chosen. We loved the experience and the kids all purchased wands after.....I liked that the TM spent ages with the kids, asking Birth dates and matching wands.
I quickly went into the sweet shop to have a look around, I was the first person in and the only person in the shop....the staff nearly pounced on me....they said that they were sick of talking to each other
.....they loved my tatoo and thought it was real
Next up was the big one....Moli was just tall enough to ride...phew, we could have had tears. The lockers were a bit of a nightmare and I found the TM a bit unhelpfull.
We loved walking through the queue......
the ride was a walk on......and boy was it good.....we all came off buzzing....except my Nephew who was scared.
We then spent 10mins trying to get our stuff back out of the lockers
DS purchased a tshirt and my mam got him.......a Map for christmas....I know it has a name but can't remember....anyway it was $50.....it's just paper
Butterbeer was next on the agenda
We couldn't decide if we liked it or not.....it wasn't horrible but was strange
We had to get some chocolate frogs and some bertie botts....and Moli had some candy floss
It was 9.15 and was still empty as we were heading out of Hogsmead towards seuss landing.....the crowds were comming towards us.
We saw lots of characters with nobody else about
We went on the Trolly ride....which took ages to walk through the queue and just walked on.
Then the kids went on the caro-seuss-el.....twice.....One fish two fish was a fave with the kids and went on about 4 times.
Next up we all went on cat in the hat....the kids liked it so much they asked to go again on their own......this went on for another 4 times
We spent so long here as it was empty and the kids were enjoying riding on their own. We decided to grab some lunch at 11.30....it wasn't great, I'm glad we just shared 2 meals.
The kids went back on the fish and then played in the water park........Moli is 6 and took her shoes and socks off.....my nephew is 11 and Ieuan is 12.....they left their shows on and were soaking
We picked Moli up a stroller as we didn't think she would last today as it was so hot.
DH, my sis and partner all went on the Hulk, another walk on....they love this ride.
The Spiderman ride had a queue....20mins.....we decided to wait as we like this one and we all enjoyed it again.
Next up we saw Spiderman and the green goblin.
We headed through to Dudley do rights....but to be honest none of us fancied getting wet.
My sis and Niece headed to the Jarassic park river adventure and we all waited in the shade with a drink.
By now we were all shattered and felt that we had enough for one day, so we headed back to the car, stopping for a bit of shopping on the way.
