We are going for the last weekend of food and wine as well as the first weekend of MVMCP ! I had no idea that Food and Wine was still going on we were planning to see MVMCP :santa: for my sister's 30th B Day:dance3: so here is my question What exactly is Food and Wine from what I have read and looked at it looks like special foods / Wine / Drinks from all over for purchase . Is that the whole Idea ? Just wondering what I should be prepared for ? The Disney food blog had some photos of amazing looking food !!

This Wine and food festival will take your taste buds on a delicious adventure.
Disney will host a food and wine festival in between September to November.

Don't miss the Food & Wine Classic at the Swan/Dolphin held on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 5:30pm - 9:00pm. Google search "Food & Wine Classic" for details.

We have gone the last 3 years and had a blast!:

There will also be seminars and special events ranging in price from free to well over $100. Also free concerts

I see Buddy Valastro is on the list of chef's to appear this year.. is there a list somewhere that tells you what dates he will be there? I love Buddy and would love to see/meet him if that's possible.

We went the last week of the Food & Wine festival in 2011 and had a great time. It was 4 adults, and we spent most of our time in EPCOT (we did do the other parks too). Each of the existing countries, as well as so many more have kiosks all over World Showcase. These are smaller portions (kinda like appetizers) and there is food, wine/alcohol from that specific country. We were able to use our snack credits at these (for the food, not the alcohol) and really had a great time. We would try a couple of things from each country and split them amongst the four of us, instead of doing a sit-down lunch. Australia had an AMAZING lamb chop, as well as salmon in Canada, ravioli in Italy, and so much more. As four adults, it also gave us the chance to really take our time in each of the countries. We did not bother with any of the seminars, but did stop by the Wonders of Life pavilion, as they had a great selection of wines from all over the world. There are also "Eat to the Beat" concerts each night at the American Pavilion, which were free, so we saw some great acts.

Thanks !! The time you went is the time we will be there it is the last weekend of the food and wine festival ! I am very excited to go as it is also the first weekend of MVMCP and we are doing both for the first time !! :dance3::dance3:Thanks for the info this is what I wanted to hear about !!

I love going to the F&W Festival! IMO the best way to experience it is to get a snack at most of the kiosks and share it - this way you can try more of the items without filling up (and without spending a fortune).
If you're interested in "adult beverages" too, they have a TON of ones just for the event. With those, I usually get the drink when I pass by the stand, even if I already have one in hand. Otherwise I've been stuck on one side of the world longing for a drink I saw at the other end of the world ;)
Some drinks we all share - like beer flights!

The schedule has not yet been release, but should be released soon since reservations open up August 13.

Have you seen the Food Blog 2013 info? That might help a little bit.

I would suggest getting one of the gift cards that are on the wrist band. (not the Magic Band ). it makes paying for the items easier and quicker and it hangs write on your wrist. each person could chip in the same amount for the card to keep it fair and then only 1 person needs to stand in line.
Have a great time.! We are heading to there in October! Can't wait!

Great info. We are headed to WDW MK for Halloween Party. We have wanted to check out the F&W for a while so we are squeezing in a day there Friday Nov 1st. My question.. is this something kids would enjoy or should we have a Mom and Dad date and let the boys go to another park? They are 20, 16 and 10?

I think during the day, the food & wine festival would be fun for kids, especially if your kids like to eat. There are a lot of different things going on throughout the day. At night, more people come out more to drink and eat, including the younger college-age crowd. So if you're not drinking and you're close to the drinking age, like your two oldest sons, it might be a drag not being able to drink, but also being with one's parents. I'd maybe reserve the night for date night. It's a great opportunity to socialize and drink.

I'm very much looking forward to F&W, we've never been so I'm anxious to see what its all about. Also going to be the first time we're there for MNSSHP - so two firsts in one trip! :thumbsup2

I've read that you can buy a F&W gift card at Epcot to use for purchases while walking around instead of digging for cash for drinks. Where do you get this?
