I'm only going to be able to make 4 ADRs for my next trip. Never dined in WDW before so which 4 ADRs would you make if you could only make 4?

Could you give us a little bit more information about your party? Are you staying onsite? Are you going to all the parks? Do you want to eat at the resorts? Do you want to try signature restaurants and/or dinner shows or character meals? Any particular type of food you love or hate?

We need more information to help you.
What is the makeup of your party - adults?, Kids? What are you looking for - a character experience?, classic Disney themeing?, fine dining? What are your food tastes - simple? gourmet? adventourous?
Are you on the dining plan? What is your budget?
Do you prefer breakfast, lunch or dinner experiences? Will you have Park Hopper passes? Are you staying on site?

Sorry guys!!

Staying in POR, 2 adults (I'm gluten free) no kids. Have the QS dinin plan so all ADRs will OOP. We have hopper passes and ideally dinners although a nice lunch suggestion would be very appreciated!!

Budget isn't too much of a concern ( picked 4 as that allows us to spend a bit more)

We will be watching the fireworks in Epcot and MK. Not concerned about the dessert party.

Not any food preferences, really enjoy a range of foods from fine dining to Hard Rock Cafe style foods.

Thanks

Two that are almost always on our list are:

Akershus breakfast(Norway, Epcot). It is served family style with eggs, bacon, sausage and potato casserole :lovestruc. There is also a cold bar of danish, fruit, yogurt, breads, lox. It is a character meal and a photo package is included with the meal.

Another that we really enjoy is Biergarten (Germany, Epcot). It is buffet style german meats, salads, etc. The entertainment there is an oompah band and it is a very fun atmosphere.

You may also want to check out some signature dining places if the budget will allow it. Sadly we have only tried one signature restaurant - the California Grill in the CR. The food was great when we went - they have very good sushi also. If you are able to get an ADR around the time of Wishes fireworks, you can go out on the observation deck to watch, and they pipe in the music from the fireworks show.

Kona Cafe, Boma, La Hacienda ( time it right and watch Illuminations from your comfy seat :) and Cape May Cafe
Could suggest about another 2 dozen if those don't strike your fancy. We plan our whole holiday around Dining, yum
Be sure to have your Special Diet noted on your ADRs and always ask to speak to the Chef once you are there, they are Swell at accommodating Special Needs

Normally, I would rattle off my standard favourites off the top of my head. Like a PP I could give you a dozen more without breaking a sweat. But I thought I would stop and have a bit more fun with you.

Since you're from Britain, I'm thinking you've travelled on the Continent a time or 3:goodvibes, so I'm not going to recommend a lot of Euro cuisine-you will have had much better. Similarly I'm not going to recommend my top 1TS credit restaurant: Sanaa. You've had better Indian cuisine on the high street of your nearest town. And since you are on the QSDP I'm not going to name many places inside the parks, since that's where you'll be using a lot of your dining credits.

So my choices for you would be:
1. HDDR: At Ft. Wilderness. A western themed Vaudeville style dinner show with western-style, down home foods plus all you care to drink beer(American:rolleyes1) and Sangria. Hilarious and delicious.
2. Boma (buffet) or Jiko (signature) at the AKL. African inspired, well spiced (NOT spicy) foods in a wonderful atmosphere.
3. Ohana: a family-style meal (DH calls in carnivore heaven) at the Poly with Polynesian inspired food and the best bread pudding I've ever eaten.
4. La Hacienda: overlooking the Lagoon outside the Mexican Pavilion at Epcot. This is the only place I've recommended inside a park. Serves authentic Mexican cuisine rather than the TexMex variations you usually find in the States. The pork with mole sauce is absolute heaven.
4b. If Mexican isn't your thing, then my alternate would be Citricos at the Grand Floridian. Mediterranean inspired fine dining and one of the most romantic signatures we've found in WDW.

Whatever you choose, I hope you have a wonderful trip.

well...the dining plan throws a wrench in the works - since it assigns 2 credits to some of the places i'd recommend....but here's where i'd steer you:

kona cafe at the polynesian is good for every meal...and somewhat of a hidden jewel in the new inflated price/ dining plan world. it is fairly easy to jump out of the magic kingdom and get to and get back quickly...you can also do the monorail or boat thing and take in some scenery.

Mama Melrose is the best bang for your buck for one point at Studios....sci-fi the most interesting as far as experience. Brown Derby has the best food...but they whack you two credits for that.

In epcot...i highly recommend garden grill after going there for the first time in ten years this past trip with our 2 and 4 year olds. Really great...the character thing with mickey mouse there...and interesting.
In the showcase...we has our wedding reception at coral reef...so i am partial. i love rose and crown....Chefs de france is my favorite WS restaurant....both in italy and both in mexico are great as well. I agree that biergarten is good both for the food and the experience. the food is thick though...so chicken eaters probably aren't going to appreciate the value of the "salads" on the buffet. chefs can be rich too...but that's the point.

AVOID NINE DRAGONS...the worst overpriced run of the mill chinese food on earth.
I also...contrary to conventional opinion on here...suggest you stay away from le cellier. its chain quality food in a bad dining room. and they charge you two for dinner because the demand has always been too high.

At magic kingdom...i've always like the meals at crystal palace...and the winnie the pooh.

liberty tree is hit or miss....stay away from tonys.

animal kingdom really isn't for the food. i do like yak and yeti...we've had good meals there. the tusker house is good as well.

other restaurant options i would recommend always outside of parks:

Wolfgang Pucks
whispering canyon
cape may cafe
kouzzina
Ohana
Fultons
Portafino
Olivias
i've always enjoyed boatrights at port orleans...as well

Just my two cents...but we've eaten at every WDW location four or five times over...so i'm well traveled

at least my stomach is

Have you considered upgrading to the regular DDP? I see that you said budget isn't a concern, but (for us) I've found that we spend less money upgrading than we do versus paying for 1 or 2 TS meals OOP. As for our favorites:
*MK- Crystal Palace for breakfast or Liberty Tree Tavern (for lunch or dinner)
*Epcot- Le Cellier for lunch or Les Chefs for dinner
*DHS- 50's Prime Time Cafe
*AK- Tusker House for lunch or dinner (not for breakfast)
*'Ohana (dinner) & Whispering Canyon Cafe (lunch or dinner) are other resort favorites of ours, but I wouldn't go there if you'd rather spend most of your time in the parks.

OK, if I'm reading correctly your dinners will be OOP and price isn't a huge issue. Here's my suggestions for Epcot and MK area...

Epcot area:

Flying Fish
(at the Boardwalk, easy 5-10 minute walk to Epcot International Gateway)

Shula's Steak House
(Swan/Dolphin, by the Boardwalk. Little longer of a walk, but you could catch a Friendship boat easily from Int'l Gateway)

MK area:

Victoria & Alberts
(At Grand Floridian. Never been, but I have never heard a bad word. Get your wallet ready though...$$$$$)

O'Hana
(At Polynesian.)

Citricos
(At Grand Floridian. Haven't been since 2009 but we had a nice light dinner there. Service was wonderful.)

MK:
-Crystal Palace (breakfast only)

AK:
- Yak and Yeti

Epcot:
- Teppan Edo
- Via Napoli

Resorts:
- Boma (AKL)- dinner
- 1900 Park (GF)- breakfast
- Cape May (BC)
- Flying Fish (BW)

Here's my Top 4:

1. Flying Fish Cafe (my new favorite restaurant in Disney)
2. Coral Reef (ask for a table by the fish tank)
3. California Grill (lovely view)
4. Hoop Dee Doo Revue (it's fun!)

We're only making 3: Saana, The Turf Club, and Rose and Crown. We're debating 50's.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions!! As I am from the UK I've been lucky enough to travel through Europe from a young age, so the suggestions around more exotic foods really got the tastebuds tingling :thumbsup2

Only 2 months until I can book my ADRs!!! Super excited.

Thanks again team :cheer2:
