FE is a bit of fun that different people participate in at different levels. Some will give little things to each person in a stateroom or just one per stateroom. Some people give something each day and others once or on a week long cruise perhaps twice. Often it is Disney themed, or nautical, or pirate but it by no means has to be. Some people bring trinkets from their hometown or region since we are from all over it is kind of fun to take home a bit of the USA or farther afield.

There are lots of threads about FE on the main Disney Cruise Line Forum area. Have a look if you have more questions. Or of course ask here as well.

D73, our information is correct! Thank you! I sent you an email with our info for the FE. We are so excited! 77 days!

We have been busy with college apps for the DD (18). It has been a bit stressful. She is a diver as well and is in the middle of her high school dive season. She had a recruiting trip to a great school last weekend and they offered her a spot on the team!! She accepted and now the college search is over!! We can plan our cruise without stress!

Is it ok to join you? I checked this thread a few months ago and it was pretty quiet but it's livening up a bit now.

This will be our 5th DCL cruise, 3rd cruise for the kids....

Your family is the 3rd within our group coming from Europe. Glad to see there are others who, as I , are willing to travel so far for sailing with the Mouse!!

We are approaching our 11th cruise on the MV of the fantasy and as we have acrrued these cruises we have started to see more and more Europeans travelling along too.

Welcome aboard to all the new comers. Glad things are picking up a bit. Anyone have any experience with The Wild Side Teen Adventure on Castaway Cays? Our granddaughter 13 would love to do this so we would like to check it out.

I forgot... This is our 1st Disney cruise and have no clue what FE is... Can anyone help?

Outside each stateroom is a little hook type attachment that allows for message to be left for you from the crew (or others) Most of them are shaped like fish though some are alson shaped as seahorses or starfish.

FE stands for Fish Extender, as many people will hang a pouch or series of puches from the Fish to extend it's capability of receiving from others.

The FE exchange is where people sign up to go around and place little goodies that they have made or purchased into the FE's of others in their group.

You can find some interesting thread about FE exchanges, the physical FE's, and what people have used as FE trinkets on the main Disney Cruise Line Forum.

Totally optional but almost always a lot of fun.

I wrote to the entire Moderator Team. THere was an option for that so I figured it would get answered by someone. Hmmmmmm.....

I know it does seem very very odd that there are not more people. I just looked and it appears that all categories of stateroom are currently still able to be booked except concierge family with veranda and royal suites. Perhaps the mass exodus to the "new" MV coupled with some people still thinking that our sailing would be the MV and thus avoiding it has left our sailing at less full. I guess we will find out. I can be happy with a few less onboard.
