Everything is paid and we are ready to sign up too! It's just myself and my two kids (6 and 3) so I won't be needing any dinner reservations but I am considering a possible shore excursion. We have never done one with them before because my children never want to get off the ship! They do look forward to the beach at Castaway Cay.

I can't figure out how to upload a pic from my computer that is not on a webside (it's on facebook though) but I took a pic of my daughter's closet the last cruise! Full of all her princess dresses/shoes/other outfits.

We have been on the Dream and loved it! All of the spaces are amazing. I am excited to see Fantasy!

Happy New Year to everyone!!! Only 91 more days!! I had read that the Fantasy was supposed to do her "float out" today! I just did my research and saw that they changed the float out date to tomorrow at 11am. I can't wait to see it!! Fingers crossed! My girls are very excited and wish it was April already! They predict that the next 90 days will fly by! They are probably right!

If anyone hears any news about the Fantasy, please share!!! Hope all is well with everyone!!

Hey everyone! Glad to see more folks joining us :thumbsup2

I think I read on the main board that the float out was moved to tomorrow. Does anyone have a link to the webcam where we can watch it? I remember watching the Dream last year...SO exciting!

So, who has been on the Dream AND either the Magic or the Wonder? Aside from the huge size difference, what other comparisons can you make? I've only been on the Magic and feel like I am a so lost with what to expect.

The float out can be seen at www.meyerwerft.com, according to an article I read today.

We have only been on the Magic and the Wonder so don't have much to compare to. I think we are going to be very overwhelmed with how huge this boat is! I can't wait!!!

Thanks for the link! I just checked it out and I can see it's out in the water alongside the dock. I'll check back later because if I remember correctly from the Dream, it was a long process.

Was anyone else up with me last night booking excursions and dining? I got everything I wanted except for Palo brunch, which is one of my all-time favorites. I am hoping we are able to get it once on board. We've had luck with doing it that way in the past, but with a bigger ship and less sea days (we've only done the Eastern with DCL), I know my chances might not be as good.

I also set my alarm again for 3 am to finish my online check in and choose our boarding time. I had read that on the boards recently and would not have known about this otherwise. LOVE the DISboards! Anyway, I don't even want to look at the availability of all this stuff this morning...I fear I will find out I didn't need to set alarms at all - LOL! Oh well, at least we're all checked in now!

Have a great day everyone :goodvibes

Hi Everyone!! I have not been on the boards in some time but the 90 day mark made me curious about the cruise meet thread. Very surprising how quiet it is!!!

I was also up at midnight booking my activities. I got everything except Palo Brunch & Palo High Tea. We did not book Remy but looks like it was available every night. I heard it is worth the price but none of the meals appealed to me at all. Especially since I do not eat any seafood.

I did not complete online check in until about 10 this morning (just couldn't get up at 3 AM!!!). I was able to choose 12 as my arrival time. We will likely get there at 11 since our flight lands at 9:30 AM.

We have been on 3 Disney cruises before, all on the Magic. But I am so excited to go on the Fantasy. :cool1:

We would also be interested in a fish extender exchange, providing it is a managable number!

All checked in. Whew, that was an experience with my old computer. Slow and freezing up but got it done. didn't need dining or excursions so no problem there. Did sign up for earliest check in but won't need it I gather with Disney transfer and check in at aqirport. We will be at the Hyatt overnight so plan to be in line early for 8:30 sign up.
Saw the float out and it gave me goosebumps and tears! The You Tube video was cool with movement. Just can't wait!!!!

Hi Nana G,

Would you mind posting the youtube video ID for the float out that you referred to? I was on youtube earlier this morning hoping someone would have float out coverage posted, but apparantly I'm not using the right keywords. Since you're still earning your ears like I am, that is why I'm asking for the ID vs. a link. Each youtube link ends in (example) "watch?v=YC46PbhKCVg". Just need the unique video ID. Thanks in advance!

I know this will sound like a strange request.

We had table 112 on the Dream, and Im hoping that this table for 6 is going to be in the same place on the Fantasy.

Would someone be willing to take a photo of this table in the 3 restaurants so I can see if its in the same location?

Ideally, they would be able to email me these while on your cruise.

My email address is

wcwill@cox.net

Thanks !

Hey everyone! Looks like we are getting more folks joining us everyday - awesome!

Do you think we should do a roll call? We have done them on prior cruises and it's a great way to meet other families that are sailing with you!

On prior roll calls, we have posted things like:

Names (first only)
Ages (kids only - LOL!)
Hometown
# of Disney Cruises

If anyone's interested, I'll ask a moderator to put a link on the first page of this thread where I can enter and update roll call info. Then everyone can just PM me and I'll post it. Just an idea...

There's also been some discussion here about an FE...I'm not sure yet if we'll be doing the FE, so I don't think I am up for taking on the task of being the coordinator for that. But I can definitely share roll call info with anyone that wants to do it! Again, just a thought.

Let me know what you guys think! Have a great day!

Hi all!! We are getting so excited and can't wait to start booking. This is our 1st Disney cruise, but have cruised many times before. I hope you all leave us some resivations for Remy & Palo :rotfl2: We are traveling with another couple and both have kids 8 & 5.

:wave2:Hi there, and welcome! There were still Remy and Palo dinners as of this morning...just no Palo brunch or high tea.

Hi all! Just wondering about the check in times, do you have to set a time even if you are staying at the Hyatt and going with the bus the next morning? Thanks and can't wait til April--> it's cold today! (6 degrees for a High):surfweb:

My family will also be on this cruise. We will be celebrating my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Our group includes my hubby, son, daughter, my sister, and my parents.

This will be my second Disney Cruise. My first was for my honeymoon in 2000. We have taken our kids to WDW 3 times, so they are very excited.

I have been a long time lurker on the DIS boards, but I decided to finally join the discussions. :)

Hi there!

This is the first time we have had to do online check in for a Disney cruise, but my understanding is that you need to do this. My friend who sails with Disney alot said that it basically equates to what your boarding group number will be. So if you have an early check in time, you will have a low boarding number and will get on earlier. If you have a later boarding time, even if you get to the port early you will have to wait until your boarding number is called...that is my understanding of it, though I haven't been through it yet so I don't know...HTH!

Hi there and welcome to the boards! Wow, what a wonderful and new experience you will have coming back to DCL with your kids. Which ship did you sail on for your honeymoon?

We did an extended family cruise Christmas 2009 and had a wonderful time. I hope you and your family will as well!

Hello all,

I am brand new to DISboards but definitely not to DCL. This will be cruise 10 for me. I am earning my Platinum Sailing Ears.

I would be happy to see a roll call started for this itutorfortravel. Shall I PM you my details?

In brief....Coming, by myself, from Switzerland where I live now and looking forward to this trip immensely. Booked it while sailing the Dream last February/March.

We did FE exchange on that cruise and I would be happy to help organize it for this cruise. It looks like there are relatively few posters on this thread at this point that it would be manageable to organize and participate. And we could also set a limit on it to something like the first 15 cabins to sign up. That way it is not mounds and mounds of things that have to be purchased to spread around and it does not take an hour a day out of our precious "Explore the Fantasy" time to get to all the cabins.

What do people think about that option?

Christopher:cool2:

No1MouseFan- I am sorry but I found it on the main boards page. Maybe you can find it there. I know what you mean about being new to this forum. I am so used to Cruise Critic but first sail here!

Helloooooooo out there!!!

Where is everyone?!

Checking in -- Made my final payment with my travel agent last week and booked a dinner at Palo on-line. I booked the Radisson at the port for the night before. We are driving down from Ohio. Not too interested in excursions since this is our 3-4th time to Western Caribbean -- will spend our time enjoying the ship.
