I just wanted to let you all know that I have just spoken with Sara 74 - she is my sister
.She has been on vacation and that is why she has not posted. She said to give her a few more days and we will FINALLY get an update. She said that she has not even gotten to the good parts yet.

I have a quick question regarding your Duo Glider.... were you able to stroll it up to the plane gate or did you have to check it with your luggage? We were thinking of renting a Sit-n-Stand from an outside vendor in Orlando, but if we can stroll up to the plane and gate-check ours, then we won't rent one. DD is 4 and DS is 2. Thanks!!!

I am not an advocate of child abuse in any way, shape, or form. That said, yes, please do whatever you need to do with your kids to get the next installment written!
I actually started reading your TR a second time because I was going through such terrible withdrawals. AND - I printed it off at work yesterday to give to DH to read. Oh, there's no way he'll read this. Kind of like your DH with your daily touring plans and helpful tips. It's wishful thinking for sure. I just really would like him to read it to show him that, indeed, I am not the only mommy that brainwashed a very young child into thinking that Disney was THEIR idea
, that became obsessed with the virtual endless planning that needs to occur (months before) a WDW vacation, and promised a number of questionable "rewards" to DH for letting me have my way with our trip! 
Truly, thank you for paving the way.

Yikes! I'd better get writing before I am tarred and feathered! I know it is late in the day. But I technically have 7 more hours in the day and I should be able to finish writing before then.
So by this point in the vacation we have the routine down. Spent dinner the night before (Tuesday) at the California Grill and watched Wishes from the deck there. As an aside, the travel channel had a little known Disney secrets show on the other night and watching fireworks from Cali Grill was one of their secrets. I guess what passes for common knowledge around here is a hidden secret to the rest of the world!
So after the California Grill we get back to the room, get the kids to sleep - not really hard even though they took their naps at 6 PM! And I snuck down to the gift shop. Remember, DD had used her wish from the CRT breakfast to wish for an Aurora doll, and I was more than happy to accomodate that wish - especially since I had expected her to wish for a little sister and we know that we are expecting another boy! The gift shop at the WL is very nice. I could have spent a fortune in there! But as much as I tease DH for being cheap, I'm right there with him and I am a much better window shopper than anything else. I got the Aurora doll and a box of Immodium for DH. Hard to remember which cost more!
Went back to the room and got everyone's clothes ready. Gave DH the printouts on MGM and reviewed them with him. Yep, I was still taking things as seriously as I was on the first day. And DH was entirely on board. It was harder to plan MGM than it was for MK. There weren't as many things that we wanted to do, but we knew we would only be there for one day and didn't want to miss anything! Before anyone asks, we had no plans to see Fantasmic. DD is wary of the villains in general and I thought it was a little late for them anyway. Besides, have to save something for the return trip, right??
Wednesday morning - wakeup call from Stitch, again. Have I mentioned that I don't like Stitch? I like him even less at 6:30 AM! One benefit of all this Disney excitement is that DS isn't getting us up at 5 AM like he does at home! DD was not nearly as excited about the Aurora doll as I thought she would be. DS did take right to the Buzz Lightyear that we had picked up at the MK the day before and kept hidden from him all day. It is in his bed right now, and I can't even think of where DD's Aurora is now! And the Immodium that DH took the night before? Still not helping. Some people dance their way through WDW, some cry (like me), some eat their way through WDW. And then there is DH. No one wants to do what he did all through WDW!
Guess that is why he had this look on his face when we were waiting at the turnstiles at MGM Wednesday morning!
Just kidding! That is his - stop taking pictures of me to prove I am having a good time face! He was SO having a good time! But he would sooner die than admit it!!!!!
The kids were excited too, and I was so happy to be first at the turnstiles! So I have a competitive nature, so what? Disney brought it out big time! In the best possible way. I was truly enjoying the challenge of enjoying a vacation with such young kids and one in the oven. There was so much potential for disaster - and DH's digestion aside, we had yet to have any REAL problems!
Ok, I am on a roll but I have to get dinner on the table and return to this later tonight. I am going to post it now so DS can't get his little mitts on the computer and somehow lose this on me!

OK, dinner's done, went out for ice cream, had argument with DH over not putting dirty dishes in dishwasher (him, not me!). Now I am ready to resume the trip report!
It was well established at this point that I am pretty darn a*al retentive (not sure if that phrase would be bleeped or not!) about this Disney thing. This is true of much of my life anyway, so this is nothing really new. I am not always go with the flow and vacation, oddly enough, is one of those times when I become even less so. It is hard to express this without making myself sound like no fun! I AM FUN! Really. I tell the family that all the time. Usually when they are crying. Kidding! They don't cry that much of the time! It is just that I like having a plan and I was perfectly willing to deviate for something more fun, but I was not perfectly willing to spend tons of money and time flying to Orlando and then get there without a plan. And sleep in? I'll sleep in when there is nothing better to do. And I have found very few days when there was nothing better to do.
This whole aside stems from the (non-Disney) vacation that we took last week. Part of the reason that this update is so long in coming. We rented a condo, as we do every summer, for a week with another family who have kids the same age as ours. Great friends. Very similar lives. In fact she and I grew up in the same town, all four of the adults went to dental school together. What is more fun than 2 dentists on a Disney vacation? Four dentists in a mountain condo! We had a very nice time. The other DH has never been to Disney. Isn't all that into the heat, the sun or amusement parks in general. The other DW was talking to me about Disney. "So when do you think you'll go back?" I froze. I stammered. I searched for an answer. The real answer is in less than 3 years. So I told the truth. I could tell what she was thinking - and I feel the exact opposite. I don't believe a Disney vacation is any easier, or more fun, with another family around. Not that they aren't fun mind you. They are great people or we wouldn't do this vacation every summer with them. But last Thursday, when she got up and was ready to go at 10 AM and told me that she wanted to go to a pancake place 30 minutes away, I had already been up for a few hours and was far past breakfast. I pointed out to my late sleeping friend that Disney 'my way' meant getting up and getting going in the morning. She told me she knew that the parks had extended hours for on site guests. I can hear the wheels on the family board turning already about this woman with her kids out until midnight and they were just 3 years old. Then she tells me that she knows Disney has a zoo and she doesn't think you need to be there early for that since there aren't any rides so there wouldn't be any lines at all. Ok, case closed. Our return trip, that I am mentally planning already, will not include another family. Love them, but not going to do it. And I hope she has a good time at the zoo. So we had a nice time in the mountains. Went swimming. Good pancakes for lunch. And now we are home - and I am supposed to be writing about a different trip altogether. Just thought you all would feel for me with that one!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch. We are first in line for the turnstiles at MGM. The kids are fueled by granola bars. And my one real goal of the day is Playhouse Disney, since the kids watch too much of it for their own good they ought to get to see it live at least!
Even waiting in line seemed like fun! Disney sure is magic!
This is the photo that made my neighbor ask how we got to go in when the park was still closed!
When I explained that this is what it looks like at rope drop, she told her kids to look hard at the picture as they would never see it in real life! They have teenagers who could stay up all night!
When the rope did drop we hustled straight to RnR for DH. Actually, he hustled and the kids and I plodded along behind him. We were trying to get RnR and ToT done before Playhouse Disney and since he was the only one who could ride RnR I felt no need to keep up with him! He thought RnR was great and he loved it. Had a great takeoff and wasn't too scary for kids but was still thrilling enough for him. Guess the rest of us will have to get on it the next time! While he rode RnR, the kids and I hung out at the entrance to the ToT. DD kept waffling on whether she wanted to go or not. Keep in mind that she is only 4! And 4 by just a couple of weeks even! But she was tall enough - she went and checked at the gate. And I think she was a little disappointed that she was tall enough. It would have been so easy to get out of if she didn't make the height. But she did and she decided to brave it with DH when he came back. DS and I hung out at the exit and waited for them. She wasn't crying when she came out. But she wanted nothing to do with that ride again! So we told her she didn't have to ride it again and she was happy with that. When we got home at the end of the week and talked to the neighbor about our trip she heard their 14 year old son's amazement that she rode ToT - he wouldn't ride it last year when they were there! She instantly understood the status in having ridden such a grownup ride and for the first month that we were home that was the first thing she mentioned when people asked her how Disney was! My grandmother just watched a travel channel show on Disney and called to tell me she couldn't believe her little namesake rode on such a scary ride! Score one for our little daredevil!
We made our way back down the street and over to Phouse Disney. We started to get into line and the CM's at the line recommended that we see Little Mermaid first and then run right out of that and across back to them. We were skeptical given the timing but they insisted it was the best way to do things. So we went to LM. It was cute, but it was no Philharmagic! We walked out of there and over to PHD. And the same CM's told us not to bother getting into line as they were sure the theater would be full with the number of people already in line. That ticked me off a little and I let them know it. They were messing with the schedule lady and I wasn't going to have it! We got into line anyway and did make it into the next show, way in the back, but still in! It wasn't as great as I expected it to be. Maybe that is just because I was so peeved at the CM's Maybe it was sitting behind people who were way taller than me. Or maybe I was just getting too used to being early for things and having a great view of them all!
Saw Mike and Sully! That movie made me cry so much when it came out! I was PG with DD and just loved it!
We headed to Star Tours. DD was tall enough to go on, but would not consider it after ToT. I don't know if she would have liked it, but I wasn't going to push the issue. The kids and I wandered to the Commissary to grab some lunch, and waited for DH. Naturally they decided to melt down. I can't even remember over what - and does it really matter? But they were bad enough that one of the few other families in the place at the early lunchtime commented to me about how was I ever going to handle a third child. Gee, thanks for the encouragement. So I sat and used every Jedi mind trick in the book to get DH to show up. You will get of the ride. You will fight the crowds to come directly to me. There is no try, only do. Ok, so that last one is Yoda, but he was a Jedi too, wasn't he? Finally, DH is there! He eats. The food was not memorable but we were well informed ahead of time that little of the food at MGM is all that memorable. For once DD is asleep and DS is awake so we decide to do MuppetVision and if she sleeps through it we vow not to tell her about its existence. We figure DS doesn't know the Muppets well enough to leak any info at his young age.
I'm cranky still about the PHD thing, cranky that the kids were acting up at lunch and I am somehow the one carrying the 4 year old when we start making our way into the theater. Remember that I am carrying DD who is sleeping and leaning on the bump that is her future little brother. What is the standard mantra of all the CM's at any of these show-type attractions? "Make your way to the end of the row" How many times have we all heard that? Heck, it was our first trip and I knew they were going to say it! We hadn't managed to strategically position ourselves in the center of the crowd as we had at Little Mermaid or Philharmagic, so we knew we would be on the far side of the row. So what? It was air conditioned. DD was still sleeping and there were cushioned seats ahead.
And then we met him. The Jerk. I will allow myself poetic license to be completely judgmental about a perfect stranger here, so please don't be offended for the next paragraph. We are making our way down to the end of the row, when I am blocked by the Jerk. He has plunked himself in the dead center of the row. He has a DD who is about the same age as ours. They are the only two other people in the row. I am standing next to/in front of him. I am hard to miss - big preggo lady, 40" preschooler dangling from me. He ignores me. Doesn't even pull his feet in like a normal person would at the movie theater. At the movie theater there is 1) no pressing crowd of people all coming in at once 2) no CM calling out "please move all the way down to the end of the row! And at the movie theater there is no Jerk (wearing a Yankee's hat too! I was raised north of Boston and a Yankee's hat itself is offensive - just kidding) Anyway at the movies there is no Jerk yelling back to the CM - "she can get around me"
I turned to the Jerk and said "Actually, I really can't get around you." I am trying to look really pregnant, which isn't taking much effort. DH is oblivious behind me. He tells me to bite him. The Jerk tells me that, not DH. That would be another story entirely!
So I called him a word I wouldn't have said so close to DD if she was awake, I stepped on his foot, shoved past him and made my way to the end of the row. The CM had heard him say "bite me" so she apologized to me when I sat down. I told her that no apology was necessary. I told her that I knew she was bound by rules to be nice to all the guests but that no such rules applied to me and that I called him an a**$Sle for her. She thought that was kind of funny. DH finally realized what had happened. And he starts to get up to say something to the Jerk. Yeah, this is just what we need on our trip. My already weakened DH mixing it up with the Yankee's guy. One New Yorker after another. And DH is not one to fight. What I called the guy was worse than DH would normally do. He is far more forgiving than me! So I assured him that my honor did not need defending and we watched the show. This was another show that really didn't do all that much for me. But again, I was peeved too! Hey, it was an air conditioned seat. That was good enough for me.
We left the show and grabbed a snack at the Pizza Planet. The Jerk was there with his daughter and I jumped to the conclusion that his wife had left him (since he was such a Jerk) and that he had visitation with the daughter and took her to Disney to show her a good time and was so determined to make it a good trip that he didn't care who he ticked off to get the best seat in MuppetVision. DH told me to be quiet and eat my cookie.
We found the Toy Story characters for some pictures and I split from the rest of the family so I could go to Millionaire. This was one of the few attractions that I saw and DH didn't. He owed me what with all the thrill rides I had to skip. Millionaire was cool. I had no chance of making the hot seat at all. I am not nearly as smart as I wish I was, and there was a Bible question too. The guy who made it was from NH (my home state!) and had been in the hot seat 3 times before. Does he have no life? Or is he a super genius? My vote was supergenius given the whole NH connection. We actually ran into him later and talked for a few minutes. He was a very nice guy! He didn't make it that far, but the whole thing was entertaining. While I was in there DH and the kids saw JoJo and Goliath and Fantasia Mickey.
Our last stop was Beauty and the Beast. We had good seats. The show was great. The kids loved it, the costumes were wonderful and the theater was nice. It was a good end to the day.
We had ADR's for Chef Mickey's at 5:30 so we didn't try to see anything else, just caught the bus back to the WL. The bus trip was fun. DD decided to sit with another family and tell their DD (who was a few years older, maybe 7 or 8) all about how when she was a grownup she was going to have a thousand children. 50 boys and 50 girls. And they would all wear matching dresses and tuxedos to school and there would be so many of them that all the neighbors would have to help her carry them to school. We saw the same little girl in the pool a couple of days later and she was still laughing!
DD decided that she had already met Mickey a few times and would like a swim in the pool better than a dinner, so we called Chef Mickey's, cancelled our ADR and went for a swim. We still managed to get a table at Whispering Canyon for a decent hour and so we had the exact same meal as we'd had earlier in the week, just one table over from where we were the last time. It was relaxing. We didn't have to think about anything. It was perfect. And then we all collapsed into bed.
Oh, yeah, we did review our itinerary for the next day (Thursday) at Animal Kingdom. I was tired, but I wasn't crazy or anything!

We headed to Star Tours. DD was tall enough to go on, but would not consider it after ToT. I don't know if she would have liked it, but I wasn't going to push the issue. The kids and I wandered to the Commissary to grab some lunch, and waited for DH. Naturally they decided to melt down. I can't even remember over what - and does it really matter? But they were bad enough that one of the few other families in the place at the early lunchtime commented to me about how was I ever going to handle a third child. Gee, thanks for the encouragement. So I sat and used every Jedi mind trick in the book to get DH to show up. You will get of the ride. You will fight the crowds to come directly to me. There is no try, only do. Ok, so that last one is Yoda, but he was a Jedi too, wasn't he? Finally, DH is there! He eats. The food was not memorable but we were well informed ahead of time that little of the food at MGM is all that memorable. For once DD is asleep and DS is awake so we decide to do MuppetVision and if she sleeps through it we vow not to tell her about its existence. We figure DS doesn't know the Muppets well enough to leak any info at his young age.
I'm cranky still about the PHD thing, cranky that the kids were acting up at lunch and I am somehow the one carrying the 4 year old when we start making our way into the theater. Remember that I am carrying DD who is sleeping and leaning on the bump that is her future little brother. What is the standard mantra of all the CM's at any of these show-type attractions? "Make your way to the end of the row" How many times have we all heard that? Heck, it was our first trip and I knew they were going to say it! We hadn't managed to strategically position ourselves in the center of the crowd as we had at Little Mermaid or Philharmagic, so we knew we would be on the far side of the row. So what? It was air conditioned. DD was still sleeping and there were cushioned seats ahead.
And then we met him. The Jerk. I will allow myself poetic license to be completely judgmental about a perfect stranger here, so please don't be offended for the next paragraph. We are making our way down to the end of the row, when I am blocked by the Jerk. He has plunked himself in the dead center of the row. He has a DD who is about the same age as ours. They are the only two other people in the row. I am standing next to/in front of him. I am hard to miss - big preggo lady, 40" preschooler dangling from me. He ignores me. Doesn't even pull his feet in like a normal person would at the movie theater. At the movie theater there is 1) no pressing crowd of people all coming in at once 2) no CM calling out "please move all the way down to the end of the row! And at the movie theater there is no Jerk (wearing a Yankee's hat too! I was raised north of Boston and a Yankee's hat itself is offensive - just kidding) Anyway at the movies there is no Jerk yelling back to the CM - "she can get around me"
I turned to the Jerk and said "Actually, I really can't get around you." I am trying to look really pregnant, which isn't taking much effort. DH is oblivious behind me. He tells me to bite him. The Jerk tells me that, not DH. That would be another story entirely!
So I called him a word I wouldn't have said so close to DD if she was awake, I stepped on his foot, shoved past him and made my way to the end of the row. The CM had heard him say "bite me" so she apologized to me when I sat down. I told her that no apology was necessary. I told her that I knew she was bound by rules to be nice to all the guests but that no such rules applied to me and that I called him an a**$Sle for her. She thought that was kind of funny. DH finally realized what had happened. And he starts to get up to say something to the Jerk. Yeah, this is just what we need on our trip. My already weakened DH mixing it up with the Yankee's guy. One New Yorker after another. And DH is not one to fight. What I called the guy was worse than DH would normally do. He is far more forgiving than me! So I assured him that my honor did not need defending and we watched the show. This was another show that really didn't do all that much for me. But again, I was peeved too! Hey, it was an air conditioned seat. That was good enough for me. We left the show and grabbed a snack at the Pizza Planet. The Jerk was there with his daughter and I jumped to the conclusion that his wife had left him (since he was such a Jerk) and that he had visitation with the daughter and took her to Disney to show her a good time and was so determined to make it a good trip that he didn't care who he ticked off to get the best seat in MuppetVision. DH told me to be quiet and eat my cookie.
We found the Toy Story characters for some pictures and I split from the rest of the family so I could go to Millionaire. This was one of the few attractions that I saw and DH didn't. He owed me what with all the thrill rides I had to skip. Millionaire was cool. I had no chance of making the hot seat at all. I am not nearly as smart as I wish I was, and there was a Bible question too. The guy who made it was from NH (my home state!) and had been in the hot seat 3 times before. Does he have no life? Or is he a super genius? My vote was supergenius given the whole NH connection. We actually ran into him later and talked for a few minutes. He was a very nice guy! He didn't make it that far, but the whole thing was entertaining. While I was in there DH and the kids saw JoJo and Goliath and Fantasia Mickey.
Our last stop was Beauty and the Beast. We had good seats. The show was great. The kids loved it, the costumes were wonderful and the theater was nice. It was a good end to the day.
We had ADR's for Chef Mickey's at 5:30 so we didn't try to see anything else, just caught the bus back to the WL. The bus trip was fun. DD decided to sit with another family and tell their DD (who was a few years older, maybe 7 or 8) all about how when she was a grownup she was going to have a thousand children. 50 boys and 50 girls. And they would all wear matching dresses and tuxedos to school and there would be so many of them that all the neighbors would have to help her carry them to school. We saw the same little girl in the pool a couple of days later and she was still laughing!
DD decided that she had already met Mickey a few times and would like a swim in the pool better than a dinner, so we called Chef Mickey's, cancelled our ADR and went for a swim. We still managed to get a table at Whispering Canyon for a decent hour and so we had the exact same meal as we'd had earlier in the week, just one table over from where we were the last time. It was relaxing. We didn't have to think about anything. It was perfect. And then we all collapsed into bed.
Oh, yeah, we did review our itinerary for the next day (Thursday) at Animal Kingdom. I was tired, but I wasn't crazy or anything!

I'm glad you're back to posting, Sara! I was getting worried. Teehee! Every day my boyfriend would ask me, "Has that lady with the cute family posted another day yet?" and I'd say, "No! Very sad!"

What a Jerk! That is so unbelievably rude and you would think (though I know it isn't true) that just being in Disney World would bring out the best in people and not the worst. Ruins some magic when some moron won't move down and tells a pg woman to Bite Me? What a loser. I do hope he is reading this right now.
