I understand the 4/3 tickets expire 14 days after first use but if you don't actually use any of the days, can you use them on another future pkg? What if you only purchase a one day base ticket in order to get the 4/3 deal - would it be possible to use those one day tickets in conjunction with another package from Disney another time? I've read of people applying such to an AP but didn't know if it was possible to get the credit on say a 7 day pass especially if it's tied to a package. As always the wheels on turning in my head for future trips ;)

Yes, you can save the ticket portion of your package unused, you will be able to use it for your future package or upgrades to AP pass.

Just to be clear…

You never have to use the tickets that come with any package. They will remain good forever and ever if you haven’t used them. You may upgrade them at any time in the future if they are unused. Of course, that could change if they change from the MYW ticket structure. In other words, you may use them for a future trip. In regards to the 4/3 deal, you will not lose those free days if they are not used.

Now (and this is where I want to make sure we’re on the same page), you cannot have those tickets instead of other tickets for a future package. For example, you can’t say “I don’t need tickets with the package; I have a credit”. Nor could you take unused tickets and combine them onto another ticket purchased on a future package. For example, you may not have a 1 day ticket now and buy a 2 day ticket later getting a credit for the 1 day ticket to save money or get a 3 day ticket. But, you could use a 2-day ticket and then a 1-day ticket, although that would be a poor use of tickets considering the cost to add extra days. But you could. You may get a room only ressie and use those tickets. Or use those tickets instead of tickets that come with another package; can’t really figure out why you’d want to do that, but who knows what offers might make that worthwhile in the future.

If you have any tickets with the 4/3 deal, they are upgradeable. You will get full gate value for any ticket you purchase during any future upgrade provided you use it at least once first. For instance, to get the biggest bang for your buck under the 4/3 deal when upgrading to an AP you should purchase 7 day tickets with the no expiration option.

You may also upgrade to other tickets, not just an AP. The only rule is that the upgrade cost more than the ticket you are upgrading to. For example a 7-day PH with water fun & no expiration costs more than a 10 day base ticket. Upgrades are based on price, not days.

Thank you for clarifying. Basically it sounds like it only makes sense to save the tickets for a future trip if one's doing a room only then since you can't combine tickets using an old one as a credit towards a new package's tickets as you said above. Thanks for helping me understand as that was specifically what I was wondering. Thank you!
