4/3 package question

Can you book the 4/3 package for 2 people and have 3 in the room? I have an AP so I don't need the ticket but the 4/3 would be a great deal for DH and DD. Or better to get AP room and but tickets?

I was told for a situation like this that you should just add the person on when you arrive. (Pay the extra adult charge, but don't have to have the same tickets.)

We were asking about bringing my MIL, but she is a FL resident so would not want to be a part of our package with tickets.
