Our flights for our group of 7 are booked for 2/11 thru 2/17. Right now we've booked an off-site condo, but I'm trying to look at all options so I can convince my SIL to stay on-site. DH and I and SIL are surprising our 2 DDs (12 and 10) and her 2 DDs (12 and 10) with a trip together! DH and I think this will be the only time they'll travel to WDW together and want it to be memorable. Doing my research now before the next offer!

If Disney offers the 4/3 during Feb., how do they handle shorter stays such as ours (6 nights) ? And do you have to buy passes for every day? We're hoping to visit SeaWorld one day and we're planning to buy 4 day hoppers.

Thanks

For a 6 night stay, I believe it was then a 4/2 deal - you still paid for 4, but got 2 nights free (we stayed the full 7, so I'm going by memory of what I had seen on the boards from others).

And for the tickets - you would get 6 day tickets by paying for 4. I don't know if under the 4/3 they would let you buy a 2 day ticket and get 4 days or not.

More importantly - there's no guarantee they will do anything like the 4/3 again - I've seen some rumblings lately that that really cost them a ton of money and they won't do it again, but of course, that's just speculation just like those saying they will offer it again. No way to know.

For past 4/3 deals you did have to buy at least 1 day MYW tickets for each person. With this offer, there's no difference in price between 4 day and 7 day tickets so you might as well get the 7 day once. Yes you may have a couple days go unused but there's no difference in price so why not give yourself the added flexibility? This would allow you to go to a park on your arrival day and your departure day and even in the evening on the SeaWorld day if you want. You don't need to use them all but at least you'd have the option if you so choose.

For past 4/3 deals, the way it worked is that once you passed 4 night, the next up to 3 nights were free. So in the case of a 6 night stay, your last 2 nights would be free.

I repeatedly stated for past 4/3 deals because nobody knows for sure what Disney may come up with the next time they offer it.

I was thinking that it wouldn't really matter if I booked 6 or 7 nights since the last 3 would be free. But I wanted to be sure I understood.

I understand Disney may not offer the 4/3 option, but just wanted to know how it might work if offered. Didn't want to be figuring it out just as they are extending it ( or whatever they may have). I might miss out on something good!

Obviously this is all new to me, the 4/3, free dining...

Thanks

We are planning now for 5 days, because we find 7 days too long for the kids. but if they offer 4/3 deal, 5 days would not really be a saving, i assume only 5th day would be free but 7 then would be our choice :thumbsup2

Ok so I am confused. We are staying for four nights in january. If the 4/3 deal comes out do we get any discount? Or do we have to extend our stay? What if we can only do one extra night?

if you stay 5 nights under this promo the 5th night is free. Hopefully there will be room only discounts for us that don't stay 7 nights.

For a 4 night stay, the 4/3 deal does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. You'll be paying full price for everything. It becomes a deal as you get beyond 4 days with the best deal being a 7 day trip.

The recession is driving the multitudes of deals that have been offered by WDW over the last year. There is no guarantee that these will continue.

Having said that, I took advantage of the 4/3 deal at a Value this year in March. Because of the $200 gift card, it was less expensive to go the 4/3 deal. We needed an 8th night so I split my reservation and used a 40% off discount code for the 8th night (saved $40).

Had I not gotten the $200 gift card, I would have just used the discount code and the price would have been a "wash".

Deals like 4/3 and free dining require that you pay rack rate for your room; thereby, forgoing any discounts that could be as much as 40% on the room.

You have to crunch the numbers for your particular situation.

2009 was the only time I can recall there being a 4/3 offer ... so, just a heads-up that it may not be offered again in 2010.

And with the 4/3 offer, you had to buy a park ticket and pay rack rate for 4 nights ... then you got any additional nights up to 3 free.

In 2008 (I think) they offered a water park and more w/ hopper free.

This would be a great deal for me:thumbsup2 I hope it comes to pass.:goodvibes
