how do I figure out what the price MIGHT be, IF they run a 2011 4/3 deal?
I would want dinning included.
I am also an AP, so I am wanting the best deal for Jan or Feb. Not sure if it would be the 4/3 + tickets + dinning or an AP rate with dinning. We usually go for a % off room + dinning.
DD wants to stay at OKW. but I would be content with a Value or Mod.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, IN ADVANCE.

For a 7 night stay, the 4/3 deal is a 43% discount on your room rate. You are also getting teeny tiny discount on tickets (like $9).

For a 7 night stay, the 4/3 deal was the biggest discount percentage I have seen.

I thought maybe there was a PIN code or bounceback for 45% at DVC villas, but other than that the 4/3 was the best offer going.

The standard DDP is $41.99/person/night for 2010 (non peak pricing). 2011 prices are not released yet, as far as I know.

Wouldn't it just be the rack rate for a 4 night package but you actually get 7 nights?

If you DD really wants to stay at OKW you would probably be best off renting points. You can stay there for as little as $90 a night.

If you decide to get a value, the deal will likely become buy 5, get 2 free. (I only say so because you'd said you'd be happy with a value or a mod)

If you think that you might need APs in the future, you can get a heck of a deal using the 4/3 deal. Upgrade the tickets to 9 (or 10 - price is the same for some reason) day No Expiration. We also had the hoppers on ours because we didn't upgrade our tickets to APs until our last day. For 2 adults and 1 child, it only cost us $350 total (including the upgrade to the 9 day) to get APs. Those free days of NE are a lot of free money!

This may be a stupid question, but how do they discount the park tickets? Do they sell them for the 4 day price or do they divide the cost of the 7 day by seven days and make you pay for 4 days?

I'm sure it is the first one, but if it is truly buy 4 get 3 on the park tickets too, just maybe...

Extra park days only cost $3 after Day 4. So they are giving you $9 of free park tickets. You pay for a 4 day ticket.

However, as the PP stated, if you add NE you get a better deal since NE is a lot more expensive as the ticket length goes up. I have some vague recollection that they had done something to fix that loophole with the NE extra days on the 4/3, but I can't remember what I read about that.

But yes if you were going to upgrade to an AP, it was a decent ($100+) savings to order your 4/3 tickets with NE on them.

If an AP did this deal......wuld they be able to apply the 4 day ticket to next years AP or is it just a loss?
I really hope they have a gift card with this deal, if it is offered. :worship:

You can just keep the ticket and use it for a future upgrade. They did not offer a gift card with the 4/3 offer in the past as far as I know.

We went Jan '09 with the 4/3 promo and a $200 gift card at check-in. Wouldn't that be nice again...

We had the same deal. If I remember correctly, the gift card was only available for a short time with the 4/3. Something like Jan - Mar.

Yep, in 2009 the gift was included in the 4/3 deal at least through March. It was great! Once we had our package paid, which included the dining plan, we pretty much had our entire trip paid for with $200 spending money. It was great! Last year it was just 4/3, no gift card but I would take it that way for 2011 because it was still a great savings!!!

For room: What Disney did was charge you rack rate for all 7 nights, average them up, and discount you the extra nights on average price since each night can have a different rack rate amount.

For Tickets: Disney then gave you the last 3 days of the ticket for free, so you paid the price on a 4 day ticket (the only start going down on price then, so not much of a discount there).

Dining: You pay for each night of whatever dining plan you want.

In 2009, the deal was much better than what it was in 2010. They closed all the loop holes that would really save you money. I would expect the 2010 plan (above) if Disney does it again in 2011.
