4/3 Deal and MLK Weekend

I am trying to do a little planning, my son wants WDW for his Christmas present and we are thinking about the week before and including MLK weekend (Mon-Sun nights). Does anyone know if that weekend was available for booking the 4/3 deal last year?

Yes it was available, I was there that week, and I am going in 2010. Be prepared, it was very busy!!

How did the crowds compare to springbreak? Was it just that Saturday and Sunday that were bad? We arrive that Saturday, Jan 16 and probably will not go to a park that day unless we hit one that has extra magic hours that evening. Unofficial Guide has it at a level 8 Saturday and Sunday and 7 on MOnday. 7s I believe the rest of the week. I have friends that go in January and they day it is never crowded.

I had an AP discounts this year during the MLK weekend. There were discounts at the moderates and delux resorts. None at the value resorts.

What are the crowd levels for the 9th through 15th of january? How do you find crowd levels?? Thanks so much, i love the Dis.. your all do helpful!

MLK weekend doesn't appear to be blacked out of the 4/3 deal, I just booked Jan. 16-23 at CSR.

As for crowds, we were there last year at the same time, but were not at the park on Saturday or Sunday. We were at the park on Monday, and were on and off Space Mountain with no lines, twice in 25 minutes. We joked that the walk from the entrance to the ride loading zone was what took so long!

FYI, it was freezing last year, as low as 29 degrees that Wednesday morning when we were at AK. Brutal, but still a blast!
