4/29/06 Eastern Magic...We're Going!!!!!

Ug-I just lost my post. I guess that was the Dis folks telling me to "wrap it up".....

Welcome Tiggersister2-I live in Collegeville. My husband(affectionately refered to here as Head Gear Pat, goes to the orthodontist in Exton and he works in Wilmington, DE. There are a few "girls only" groups here on the boards if I remember correctly. You will have a great time! And yes, it was crappy here yesterday. Thankfully, there is NO way I would have had time to attend 2 girls soccer games, register for summer camp and throw a birthday party(and plan it at the same time).....if it hadn't been raining!!

Ahhhh the party, it is over....I survived! We both did actually. Pat did so much to help in the 11th hour! We are going to need to have our bastment carpets cleaned to the tune of about $500.00 since one of those neon necklaces broke all over the carpet. The purple neon glow was kind of neat for about a second! Then I freaked-privately to myself of course!

The moms wanted to look at jewelry, which put me in a really wierd position cause I didn't have people at my house to sell jewelry-although it was a profitable day for pink pearl designs.... One of the mom's called ahead of time and wanted to see if she could stop by early and that was no problem, but everyone came early!!!!

Oh and the birthday girl was a NIGHTMARE! She was totally trying to fast forward the party to the presents as soon as she saw them.....Which I guess I can understand and it was kind of my fault bc we were so nuts trying to get ready in the morning that I didn't get to sit downwith her and discuss expectations or just remind her to use her manners. I feel bad, the whole day was a total whirlwind! Glad it is over! My parents came over and brought dinner which was a big help, gave her her birhday presents and helped clean up. She got the American Girl Jess. She is really cute.

She is too, when she can fit her horns into that box.....

Ok- I have a ton of clean up still.... Then, finally, we can be on vacation!!!
Oh and nails- I love getting pedis and manis. I used to do it all the time, but now I just honestly can't find the time to sit and no nothing with my hands(thanks to you all) for hours while the polish dries! I will be going next Thursday morning probably. I had a great Spa Pedicure about 2.5 weeks ago and it still looks perfect so I don't have to worry about that.

Morning all....Well, still haven't started packing yet. Did three loads of laundry yesterday and partially cleaned the car and we did get our new car tags. That's all I managed to have time for other than cleaning the bathrooms since we had to make a salad to take to our family thing at 4. Stayed over there quite awhile and one of Tim's little cousins stayed the night. I will stress that we have to leave early from the family thing today. It starts at 2 so hopefully we can make an exit soon.

Good Morning all, the Queen is working on the Countdown while I am posting this. Had 4 soccer games yesterday and a great Birthday dinner last night at one of our favorite local resturants, and off today for at least one maybe two games up in Grand Rapids today, gas is going to kill us for the travel soccer. Just found out that the coach might change some games that we were going to miss on the cruise, so that we might be getting off the airplane in Detroit on May 6 and going straight to watch Lindsey play in one or two games that late afternoon. Off the ship at 9, at the airport by 11, fly out at 1, land at 330, playing in a soccer game at 530, and then home by 8 or 9, I guess we will be jumping right back into our regular life as soon as the ship docks.

Welcome Tigger, hope you have a great time reading up on our bunch, there will be a quiz before you board the ship so make sure you are up on your 4-29-06 DisBoard Trivia.

Glad the PJ and CG had great parties, and wow everyone is getting Quaffed up before we board, I guess the Queen is right and time to trim the nose hairs.

Well talk to all soon, just think Barb and Pat are already there at the World with their Vacation started, it would also be nice to hear from a couple of the boys out there Steve, Eggman, HeadGear (I know there is no chance for this one) Pango and all the other Pirates.

We are from the Lehigh Valley area of PA, not too far from you! My husband went to Penn State.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Still dreary and drizzly weather here. To all of you leaving soon, the weather in Florida right now sounds awesome. Yes, I am a Weather Channel junky - especially when vacation is drawing close.

Michelle, congrats on the furniture. Where in the mountains in PA is your camp?

We packed our dinner clothes yesterday, and today I realized my son will need his one and only nice pair of pants that he owns on Thursday Night for his band concert. I'm sure they're packed right in the middle of the suitcase!We wound up overpacking big time, I know. I'm trying to avoid the laundry demon on the cruise, but I think that will be impossible!

The thread with the pictures of food made its way to the front page of the main boards again - there are SO many pix from the Palo Brunch!

Hi and thank you to everyone who made me feel welcome. I just started readin gthese boards a couple of days ago and wish I had gotten into it muc sooner - it's freat to see all of you being friends and knowing each other so well.... I feel a bit out of it. Also, a little scared Belle and Rella's Dad - a quiz?? - on my goodness - good luck to me at this point.

Hey GrumpyCHook -- hopefully we can say hi to you and your mom. How do you all plan to find each other? Glad to see a few of you are from the area and also noting a few other Penn State alumni.

I know I mentioned wanting to say hi to any adult women travelling as my sister and I are, but we are both grandmothers so we do love kids too and I'm enjoying the adorable pics of your children. My stepdaughter has 2 girls ages 7 and 4, but she won't do Disney with them yet. I offered to take them last year and she said they were too young ....grrrrr. I have 3 daughters of my own (including twins), but only one is married and no kids yet - so I have told them I will be taking them to Disney OFTEN. After my cruise, my sister and I have a couple days at Disney and then she leaves and my 25 year old "baby" is coming down to meet me for her graduation present (she graduates PT school in January). So this is a fun trip for me.

Sis and I are leaving Friday and staying at the Radisson at the Port so I am getting excited. I am soooo overpacked so I have to start taking things away. I will be away a total of 3 weeks and I always overpack anyway - this is a nightmare. I have also been trying to lose weight and did 10 pounds in the last couple of months - I gain easily so I need clothes to fit at the beginning of the trip and those to fit after.

Well, any info you guys have to recognize you all and say hi - let me know. My sister and I are kind of like Mutt and Jeff - I'm tall - she's short - she has short hair and mine is long. We love getting goofy and having lots of fun - we giggle a lot and we love meeting at Disney - we've done it for a few years.

Thanks Sue. Are you flying down out of Pittsburgh? My parents fly out from there Tuesday, my cousins fly out Thursday and my sister Friday evening.

The weather in Orlando next week is hot, hot, hot. 90 on Wed.

Nightmare- Had a horrible dream the other night. I have been tanning a little and I dreamed that I looked down at my legs and they looked like a burnt charcoal Hotdog. It was horrible!!

We have been sooo busy the past month but this weekend have abosolutely no plans. I like being busy, it makes the time go faster so right now I'm sorta moping around the house, packing a few more essentials, cleaning a little and bored to tears.

I'll being joining the teary eyed group, my husband just rolls his eyes. I made a little list to take with me of things not to forget and really big I wrote RELAX, RELAX, RElAX. I have to remind myself it is not my responsibility to make sure everyone is having a good time and that everything will not go just as planned and to just go with the flow.

We are flying out from Pittsburgh on Friday at 12:50...Southwest. Arrive at MCO @3:05pm.. Get to the Hiton at Cocoa Beach apprx 5:00pm (grocery stop for Corona!)... We may be able to get a dip in the ocean !!!

My mother is traveling with us.. She is newly single at 71 years young..

She loves her wine and tennis. If any one knows of, or meets and nice young gentleman or lady...of that generation, she would love the company. She is afraid she will be the "minority".

I told her lots of grandparents come along on the Disney cruise....

3 times I had to fill out that form on vacations... and I never remember. Plus there are no instructions....
I am still not sure if I should sign my DD(5) form or not (can not remember again)..so I am leaving it blank until we get to Port. They are very nice and will help you..

Started out today with really nasty rain and yuckies all around. Came out of church and there was the sun! WOW! It's 75 now and sunny! Beautiful!

Tori asked this morning when she got up if we were going to the cruise today! I wish! Everybody is excited now!

Had Mexican for lunch and ate way too much! Ugh, feel like a slug! Got to finish packing my day bag today. Then the rest will come.....easily, I hope!

Kirk is feeling better today. I actually convinced him last night( once he was concious again) to talk about clothes for the trip. As we got things out realized he is short on shirts so we had to pick some of those up after church today.
