Just a few comments, because I am lazy today.
Regarding Medical forms: Having read the medical form, it is geared to those that need accomodations. For instance, I suffer from Ostepenia and have to keep my daily injection refridgerated. The chill box in the room is not sufficent temp. So I had to have my Doctor sign the form that says "He has Osteopenia and needs a Fridge".
DCL should have a fridge in our stateroom. As far as meds, you need to have them in an original perscription bottles. Not baggies.
However to run counter to this, W and I got injuried on SCUBA dive, by getting pushed into Firecoral for me and her barotraumaing her ear. So we go to Medical, after I get a blister 2" tall and size of silver dollar on my knee cap. They gave me anti-biotics. They were issued to me in a plastic baggie with a label on it. The Doc was from South Africa. So Medical became known as the Souther African Drug Connection between us.
Anyhow, my two cents, I think the CM need to know about certain life threatening issues, but not necessarily advance notice. I would let the counseler know that of allergies and that way they can prevent the interduction of that. However, when in doubt give them a call and let them belay your concerns.
OSO- It is amazing how perspective changes with jobs. To me drug busts are not so big now a days. I know a cousin of mine is involved in drugs, luckily, I haven't seen the idiot in 15 years. But knowing how many people get arrested every day for Marijuana and Cocaine, it more of an normal thing. To add a neat story. My parents did a 34 day on Vendham. They board in Vancouver and I know their luggage got sniffed. Well when they came back into Tampa their luggage was pulled by ICE because the dogs alerted to drugs. My Dad is a retired 'Gung-Ho' Marine and Mom is so straight an narrow, Mother Theresa would consider her a threat. Anyhow, luggage got searched by hand and they were eventually let go after a 45 minute delay. We they boarded the ship, they stored their luggage in the hold. We think the crew was doing drugs down there. Anyhow, they washed it twice and I had it checked and the dog still alerted, the 3rd time was the charm. But after talking to people, the money in your wallet could alert for drugs, it is just a common thing.
Anyhow, I did call Disney today and all my issues were totally resolved and I went ahead and moved money into the account to pay for DW's spa bill. Better move it now before she spends it. Then again, I was lusting after a new digital camera. No camera for me.
