:lmao: Yeah, you did and the first thing I would do was tell them they didn't know their *** from their elbow because you do need to disclose and submit a form to DCL for any prescription drugs you will be carrying with you - and I didn't go and check out the thread but yeah, you need to tell the CM's in the clubs. We do Dock where there are bees and they can get on the ship.

I gotta go read the thread now to make sure I am not talking out of my ***.

I kinda disagree. First off, bees are at the ports....there's lots of bugs there. Second, if the counselors don't know what to look for and your child CAN'T speak, etc. they have no clue what to be on the look out for. This includes anything that could happen at Castaway Cay! They are there looking over your children while at the clubs.

That's nice that they were trying to be so helpful but what a rude way of doing it! I guess I would politely say thank you all the while mumbling in my mind, shove it, buddy! Woo, that wasn't too kind of me was it?! Bummer....

OK - yup - I was talking out of my ***. That was Lynda and she is normally very nice and helpful. She has cruised a LOT and she would know about medical disclosures, but that being said, I would want the clubs to know and for DCL to know.

FUN getting ripped on from a nameless, faceless person isn't it?

And by the way, my first post was made in haste and you don't need forms for drugs, you just need them in their original packaging with the prescription on it.

Ok What if a drug is considered a narcotic such as Percoset, oxycodone, that sort of thing? I ask as my mom takes those for her Spinal fusion and Knee replacement pain. Her doctor's gave her new scripts to fill but should she have them sign a letter stating what the pills are for? Or does she just show them the scars from surgery as proof?

I hadn't thought of this and now am panicking.

Hi, guys, quick check-in here.

Yes we are dressing up and no I won't say what airport security did when I walked in with my wench costume on. :scared1: :teeth: Emma has a costume (it's the teen pirate girl about the 4th one down on the link CG posted--believe me, they DO run small!) but we're still looking for pirate shirts for the boys.

Please, anyone who's considering it, don't let me be the only one...even just a blouse with a pirate sash and eye patch, c'mon!

CG, I soooo hope you find a Wendy dress! That would look so great!

ITM--I agree about the bees--even if they didn't require the info, I would want the CMs to know all the possibilities. I've had bees get trapped in things like my folding lawn chairs and other things, only to find them later (yikes!), so it's important for CMs to be prepared. Nice to know that CG knows that poster--she probably meant no offense. It's amazing how posts can look fine to us when we type them but they don't look so nice when we take a second look, or when someone else reads them.

BTW, CG, I'm always so impressed about how many people you know here on the DIS, but then I look at how many posts you have and think, you've been on here awhile, and how fun it has been for me to get to know you all this way, talking about Disney and making plans together, no wonder you're at a gazillion posts! :goodvibes

Gotta run, BRACELETS ARE IN!!! and I've got to get them mailed out. Watch for them in the mail over the next few days, guys!

Amy, call DCL directly and ask them - don't bother with your TA - just get it from the horse's mouth on what to do. I believe, and my knowledge is soooo not deep on this point because it doesn't affect me, that you simply need the scrip in the original container that has the FED ID on it. But, really get it from someone who really knows what they are talking about. It is also a question for the board too - you will get answers as thoe are not uncommon drugs.

Docs- Mine came in the mail yesterday. the Luggage tags and a note saying thanks for registering online and the Immigration slips. My parents got theirs Tuesday.

Costumes- Most of the kids with us will be dressed up. My little niece is going to be tinkerbell also. I am wearing a gauzy white top that had gold beading designs on it and I got these huge (at least for me) gold dangly earings that look cool with it. A few of the men will have pirate hats on.

CG- Nice work on the weight loss. Glad to hear WW has been a great support.

We won't be dressing up beyond tropic shirts, I'm afraid. We don't have any old Halloween costumes (can you believe neither of my boys have ever been pirates for Halloween?). My husband even hates dressing up for Halloween when we go to a party. I, on the other hand, would love it but I'm outnumbered.

CG , the idea for the Wendy outfit is awesome! I'm just not creative that way.

Barb , I admire anyone with the ability to sew their own costumes. And I remember what moving into a new house is like - no time for anything but packing and unpacking. I have no excuse not to be dressed up except for lack of creativity and group cooperation!

Trish - meeting someone in an airport in costume and holding a beer - you sound like my kind of girl! Maybe not the costume but definately the beer part.

Had a hard time logging onto DIS this afternoon and it was driving me crazy. I am so cruise-obsessed I've been checking these boards three times a day. Don't now what I'm going to do when the cruise is over!

Im making t-shirts with pirate: of the caribbean iron on, that I have put together.. Well be wearing black pants, white POTC t-shirts, and pirate accessory . pretty basic. pirate: pirate:

Bellaandrellasmom , oh yes we are dressing up for pirate night , DH and I will be in full garb , DD will have pirate jeans and tops.

OMG , guys I went to get my hair done today and while at my hairdressers I witnessed a drug bust right across the street , when I pulled in I thought the salon got rob , lucky no , but there was 5 cop cars there. I guess the owner my girl called in the scums and has been complaining about it for awhile. Plus she is in neighborhood watch . It's not a great area but she has been my stylist for many years and moved there , no idea why , but has a gorgeous full building salon.

The girls are so excited about the egg hunt this Saturday. I will have to throw up a few pictures of them , hopefully the weather will cooperate. We will be doing egg decorating Saturday to. Sunday we are going to my sisters for Easter.

I am sooooooooooooooo proud of myself! I lightened up my suitcase ALOT , very simple shorts and tees for Sea days , I just can't seem to narrow down the shoes like many of either, oh and the swimsuits are still another story.

OSO , that must have been freaky with the drug bust! My stylist for many years just moved her salon to her home because the neighborhood was going downhill where her old salon was.

I feel your pain about the shoe - and I don't even have girls! You have sneakers, dress shoes, water shoes times four people - plus I wanted to take a few pairs of sandals. And, yes, I'm taking four, that'sfour swimsuits (I am somewhat of a swimsuit fanatic). I haven't begun to formally pack, have just been setting some things aside. Plus it's warm right now in PA so we are wearing shorts.

Just a few comments, because I am lazy today.

Regarding Medical forms: Having read the medical form, it is geared to those that need accomodations. For instance, I suffer from Ostepenia and have to keep my daily injection refridgerated. The chill box in the room is not sufficent temp. So I had to have my Doctor sign the form that says "He has Osteopenia and needs a Fridge". DCL should have a fridge in our stateroom. As far as meds, you need to have them in an original perscription bottles. Not baggies.

However to run counter to this, W and I got injuried on SCUBA dive, by getting pushed into Firecoral for me and her barotraumaing her ear. So we go to Medical, after I get a blister 2" tall and size of silver dollar on my knee cap. They gave me anti-biotics. They were issued to me in a plastic baggie with a label on it. The Doc was from South Africa. So Medical became known as the Souther African Drug Connection between us.

Anyhow, my two cents, I think the CM need to know about certain life threatening issues, but not necessarily advance notice. I would let the counseler know that of allergies and that way they can prevent the interduction of that. However, when in doubt give them a call and let them belay your concerns.

OSO- It is amazing how perspective changes with jobs. To me drug busts are not so big now a days. I know a cousin of mine is involved in drugs, luckily, I haven't seen the idiot in 15 years. But knowing how many people get arrested every day for Marijuana and Cocaine, it more of an normal thing. To add a neat story. My parents did a 34 day on Vendham. They board in Vancouver and I know their luggage got sniffed. Well when they came back into Tampa their luggage was pulled by ICE because the dogs alerted to drugs. My Dad is a retired 'Gung-Ho' Marine and Mom is so straight an narrow, Mother Theresa would consider her a threat. Anyhow, luggage got searched by hand and they were eventually let go after a 45 minute delay. We they boarded the ship, they stored their luggage in the hold. We think the crew was doing drugs down there. Anyhow, they washed it twice and I had it checked and the dog still alerted, the 3rd time was the charm. But after talking to people, the money in your wallet could alert for drugs, it is just a common thing.

Anyhow, I did call Disney today and all my issues were totally resolved and I went ahead and moved money into the account to pay for DW's spa bill. Better move it now before she spends it. Then again, I was lusting after a new digital camera. No camera for me. :(

I called Disney earlier and found out the movies for our Cruise its an ok list but nothing calling my name yet. will see if i decide to go once on board.

Not sure if anyone wants me to post it or wants to wait until on board. Let me know and i'll post it

Oh yeah, throw it out there, girl - this may even get my husband to check the boards. BIG MOVIE buffs here! Totally looking forward to seeing movies again - maybe alone as one stays in the room and one goes, but it will be good to have that option so near at hand - actually immediately below my room - should be good to hear that bass at night.

OK - off to scrap my pillow case stuff - Thanks Nikki, yet again

 :cool1: I'm Doc'd

And yeah, apparently the whole moving from printing the docs to getting them out the door is one damn long journey 'cause mine assumed I hadn't registered on-line and sent everything - it was a very thick cruise package like in the days of Ole.

Suzie - it came straight from DCL - the UPS guys showed up after 5:30 pm and said how much he wanted to do the cruise too. :teeth:

CG- Maybe the chipmuncks had to write yours by hand? Did you look for any hulls or nuts in our envelope? Chipmunks write slow you know. :)

Our TA had our docs and I picked them up today.

We are all dressing up for Pirate Night- Hubby will be Jack Sparrow himself and Coby will be his little Jack Sparrow shadow. They look so cute in their costumes! Sydney decided that she must be Tinkerbell (Tori and her obviously think a like) and myself and "Gamma" will be wearing striped tops, bandanas, and eye patches.

Amy- I would love to know the movies- please tell :listen:

-Nikki
