Amy,

We are game. We are staying at the Raddison. Just a matter of what time we get off from work on Friday. I got to get over my projected over budget crisis before I firm up road time.

I DID IT!!!!!!!! I finished my door sign. Nothing spectacular but I like it! Happy with it so I can go to bed! Only 10:43 so it's still early for me! WOOHOO!! Gonna try to post it on the other site. Keep your fingers crossed!

Trish - found out that I needed to unzip the file, that's why it wouldn't load! DUR! Chalk another one up to the blonde!

Suzie can i get access to the yahoo site? also congrats on getting the door signs finished I have to get started on mine!

Amy, just pm me your EMAIL address so that I can send the invite.

Darn if I can't get my sign on the website! Keeps saying file unsupported! Well, you all will just have to drop by our cabin to check it out!

Is my clock showing right? should be 12:25 am but is showing 12:14

why is the clock slow by 11 mins? anyone know?

Happy Monday nite, gang! :)

CG, those beads are a great bday gift idea. I love it! I totally know the feeling about when the gift doesnt go over well (including the part about forgetting the price tag), but at least the bday girl liked it! Once my mom got my kids this Rugrats' Angelica doll that sang and moved to the music. If you remember Angelica, she's incredibly annoying and bratty to listen to. What was my mom thinking?! LOL!

Julie, my favorite #19 pic is the one for the International Talk Like a Pirate Day. I immediately marked it on my calendar. All ye saucy wenches and scurvy dogs're expected to be proclaimin' the day, right here on the boards, come September 19, 2006 or ye'll be kissin' the gunner's daughter! Aarrrgh! pirate: (just practicing... :teeth: )

OK I'm excused for not getting that one. Us Canadians don't use ounces, we use mls. instead. :)
Barb, at our border crossing, there's a huge sign that says Thinkmetric!, just to get us yankees started on the right track. Suzie even took a pic of it!

OHJulie, I took a look at the Tweens/Teens thread. Love all the IM lingo. Mike has his cruise buddy over for a couple days, so I think they'll be getting on there tomorrow. Thanks, Kyle, for getting that up and running!

Steve, Eggman, Greg, sounds like you guys had a great time and the Daddy -Daughter Dance. Can't wait to see the pics!

Tinker--Get that door sign done so we can see it! Love the grease board idea. (I STILL gotta get my mickey paint chips!!)
Today at Claire's (do they have those out east, guys?) Emma & I saw the PERFECT message board--POTC complete w/Jack Sparrow and Will Turner  . Do people ever steal these things? This one would seem to be a likely target for that on the ship--it's so cool! Plus they had a ton of hilarious Napoleon stuff...another energy drink with the byline "pretty much the best energy drink ever" :rotfl2: and a shirt for your dog, black w/red trim and it says "Pedro offers you his protection" :lmao: :lmao:

Anyway, I finally got my door sign posted to the other site. I'm sure no one will notice it bears a striking resemblance to Suzie's sign from last time. Well, she did help me a little! Suzie, I did the same thing as you and then remembered what you and I had already figured out when you were here, but we both apparently forgot: it has to be a jpeg, not a Publisher file, lol! So when you've got it all ready, just Save As and choose jpeg (it's further down the list of file types, just keep scrolling). Then you can add it to the Door Signs album on the site. BTW, glad you got the font thing figured out! :teeth:

Tom, you simply MUST win the lottery! I LOVE Barb's idea of all of us going together again and bringing The Roses! Okay, if that doesn't work out, Plan B of rebooking on board will have to do. I'm in for that too!

Suzie, I haven't been to Cruisin' Coffee :sail: (honest, guys, that's the name of the place!!) since you left...so much going on. I'll be sure and let the barista boys know you miss them and their macchiatos and muffins. (That just doesnt sound right... :sad2: )

Last bit of the nite, I promise. My favorite Disney commercial is the one where the mom & kids are at the bfast table and mention the Disney Pkg offer in the paper and you hear dad let out a 'bark' (?) from upstairs and then you hear all the stumbling and see him through the doorway sliding downstairs on his back, and he walks into the kitchen wearing a night shirt and Goofy hat with ears, acting all calm, cool and collected and says "may I see that?" and they hand him the newspaper ad and he lets out another 'bark' and walks away. When I first saw that commercial, I shouted "THAT's ME!" :rotfl: (DH & kids agreed wholeheartedly, lol).

G'nite, all! :cloud9:

Okay, I have to apologize...after spending some more time on the TLAPD website, I realize our thread has been over all this before--forgive me. A little slow to walk the plank tonight I guess! But what a fun way to waste time at midnight on a Monday, lol. Time for bed, me hearties!

OMG!!! OMG!!!!! 18 days!!!!!!!!!

:hyper: :goofy: :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :stitch: :stitch:

I did start packing last night and I think I am sooo going to be fine space wise thanks to ziplocks and space bags - WOOOHOOOO! I got Catrina all packed up with what I could with her clothes and shoes, what she doesn't wear on a regular basis (how the heck do you people do it with older girls - at least her shoes are about 4" in length and take up little room, but man, when she gets older - look out - she has about 7 pairs of shoes to bring along - the girl doesn't even walk yet!!!! :scared: ). I did do hte individual outfits in a ziplok bag each and I am sooo loving that idea. It will be super easy to grab everything and everything is all matched up - no mess, no fuss.

Trish, yeah, personalize everything or else it does get stolen - seems to happen a LOT! I will have a simple, $1 dry erase board up - cause if I know Suzie, she would just die if she couldn't leave me little ditties every day.

OK - Cocoa Beach - yes, there is a poll up over on the other board about meets, BUT, since prior to now there has been little interest beyond Tom and myself, we have just decided to do Kennedy Space Center and then call it a night with maybe a little stop over to the port to see the Belle & Rella Fam for a drink early in the afternoon. Plus with the shift in my days, I need that night for some shopping. But if you want to meet at Ron Jons later in the night, let me know - I'll probably be there at some point on Friday especially since I just found out last night that the water shoes I bought for Quinn are too big and fly off when he runs in them - NOT GOOD. So no formal meet planned anymore by us. Apparently, I am the recloose one as opposed to my "sister" Suzie. :rotfl:

BUT, if you both (Amy and Snoopy) want ideas on where to meet - go to http://www.visitgrills.com/discounts.php - this links to the coupon, but the restaurant is a good place to meet up with each other and see the boats at the port.

I know Snoops is staying at the Radisson, but where are you staying, Amy?

I forgot my damn WW booklet today so I don't have my meeting coupons - so no weigh in today and I was looking forward to it as I think I turned the tables back in my favor. Oh, well, one more day to work on it more.
Suzie, this has been a case of nodding and reading along silently, but I am really worried about you. Take it easy these next few days prior to the cruise. Having that low of BP is not good - it totally means you need to take it easier than you have been. Listen to ulittletinker. The sleeping is also an indication of the low BP and needing to take it easy. Keep your water with you at all times. As a suggestion for the cruise from one who has done the prego cruisin, go get yourself a Brita sports bottle. They are awesome. The spout has the Brita filter on it so you can fill it at any sink or fountain anywhere with no worries. I never leave home without mine.

Well, I was so proud of myself that I had all of my kids' clothes packed for the cruise. Now it is gong to be in the 70's here today so my son of course had to get some shorts out of the suitcase and a new shirt. My DD was also campaigning this morning to wear a pair of her new capri's, but I talked her out of it.

I have a feeling that this is going to be a battle for the next two weeks.

Trish - that sign is AWESOME! I love the flags! How cool! :thumbsup2

OHJulie, yup - that's why I started with Catrina because the minute I pulled out the summer stuff for Quinn it was "game on" for him. He pulled a huge hissy fit this morning about wearing his sandals to school. NO GO. I told him, two more Fridays and you can wear them all you want in Florida.

I just got my cruise paper work. Now I can get excitited. :cool1:

Sorry to be rude.....Good morning all.

I'm still trying to find the right box that will have the kids summer clothes in them. Every box is marked "misc" except for one that had "odds and ends" on it. They even packed things from different rooms together so you can't just open the box and look inside and know what's in it or where it's from. I went through a huge box last night that was full of stuffed animals. They were from all 3 of the kids rooms, and at the very bottom, there was a few clothes of Caity's.

We moved Caity into her room last night. :cool1: Getting things done, just seems slow right now. We should be able to paint Ben's tonight after one more sanding. Today is his birthday and we wanted him to have his room for that, but it will have to be one more day. When Caity was unpacking her stuff, the room started to smell like cigerette smoke. I guess the packers were smoking while they were packing, and since the boxes haven't been opened since Aug, the smell just stayed in there. One more annoying thing about those packers. There was a bunch of stuff they didn't wrap so it broke, and a bunch more stuff they didn't even pack. The movers came the next day and had to wrap things in moving blankets and tape it together.

Rained all night but it melted the snow. There is only a bit left in the trees. Spring is really here! :cheer2: They say it might even get up to 20 C (68F) by Saturday, but its hard to believe since it's only 6 C (42F) today.

Tom Leonard said he will try to get some computer time today, but he doesn't know if it will be possible. The other four guys are out right now, so if something comes up, he's da man. People get a bit excited when their lights go out. At night he's fighting for computer time with 3 kids, so guess who wins that one. When he gets a chance for a breath, I'm getting him to work on the bedrooms so we can get the kids moved. He'll be that Dad in the DCL commercial that is sleeping all over the ship while the family is running around trying everything. Although watching that special last night about Expedition Everest had him pumped.

We leave next Friday and I haven't even found the clothes, let alone washed and packed everything! I doubt I'll get done the door signs or anything else that I wanted to. Trying to fit in their journals because part of it the teacher's look at when they come back.

Have a great day everyone

Barb

I forgot to ask. There was someone on the cruise page thinking about booking on our cruise. One of our group was talking to her, castlegazer I think it was you? Did she ever decide if she was booking?

Barb

I don't think so yet. Tarabra, I think is her screen name. She's a Realtor and waiting for some deals to close - know that feeling - but she said on her last post that all the availability suddenly disappeared for our date. Vacationstogo.com had our cruise up for almost a little as I paid back in 2004 but then it was gone - I don't think we're full - but pretty damn close.

Trish, I looked at your door sign and it is unbelievable! I'm just not creative enough to do a sign justice. Maybe I should have my 13 YO work on one over Spring vacation - he's really the creative one in the family. I do remember others having signs on our Wonder cruise.

Question for all of you seasoned Cape Canaveral people - what is a good place for dinner the night before? I would love to meet up with someone BUT our plane arrives in Orlando at something like 4:45 so I have no idea what time we'll get into town. I know Grills comes highly recommended but will there probably be a long wait by that time on a Friday night? Last time we ate at a pizza place called Kelsey's - it was just okay - more like a Pizza Hut than an Italian place (no offense if there's any pizza hut lovers out there).

Lisa

Mangoes is there at the port area too, but I would always tell people to go down to the Cocoa Beach Pier (you can get directions from anyone) and eat at Atlantic Ocean Grill overlooking the ocean. I can't tell you more because things have changed A LOT from the last time I was down and the restaurants are all different.

I just talked to Shirley at The Perfect Gift and she wanted me to remind everyone to be careful as you get to the end of 528 (the Beachline) and get onto A1A (Astronaut Blvd). The cops are always there and are dying to pullyou out of staters over. The speed limit goes from 55 to 45 to 35 in a matter of a few feet.

Nikki, she is completely overwhelmed right now with Easter stuff for the Easter sailing. You should give her a call, though, but it can be after this week and I bet she would appreciate that. I am doing an Anniversary gift basket as a surprise for my husband. It's going to be in a beach bag, cause I don't want to pack one, and have sparkling wine, flowers, balloons, chocolates, and whatever else she deems fit in it.

She also warned me about the traffic now on A1A - she said it's horrendous. So, be careful driving.

Just checking in and wanted to let all ya all (just spent some time down south) that I puchased the lottery ticket, I would say baby needs a new pair of shoes, but Shyla 7 pairs for someone who can't walk??? (are you related to the Queen and Princesses?)

SteveMed, got the Docs, I always knew that celebrities get better services, Congrats.

Gotta go,

Tom pirate:
