OH MY GOD...you guys have really upped the ante on conversation :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: . I don't even know where to begin....but, oh hell, I think I'll just let it all settle in and keep laughing.

I was so busy at work today that I didn't have a chance to peek in and see what is going on. My, My....weren't you all lively and busy.

I got home and its taken me the last hour to catch the drift of the days antics. And, I mean antics were had by all :lmao: No way I can compete with all of you tonight. I lost track along the way. If your all as much fun in person as you are on the board, we're going to have a rollicking goooood time.

And by the way HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL!!!

The best Valentine I got was an email from my son who arrived in Amsterdam today. Hopefully, he won't visit the Red Light District. At least not alone.

I had alot to say, but I can't remember. Loss my train of thought while I was :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

By the way my Pirate Name = Mad Sal...so watch out Mateys..........

I CAN'T SLEEP!!!!
I can't believe this! Everytime I start falling asleep, something wakes me up. The firetruck on the main road behind us, the freakin' teen driving by on same road with the bass turned up so load you can hear it 1 1/2 miles away!! Oh, and then Ed starts to snore! OMG! He's gonna have a bruise on his ribs tomorrow! I COULD KILL HIM!! :furious: :furious: :furious: That was the one that had me out of bed sitting here.... :surfweb:

I guess it's off to the tv to watch some lame a** movie! God, I hate late night tv!!!

This is what I will look like in the morning...

BTW - my Pirate name is Dirty Anne Cash

Hey Suzie,

Sorry you can't sleep. I'm still awake, but its only 9:00 here.

I was going to tell you, before I lost my train of thought :rotfl2: :rotfl2: that you should really try TurboTax...its great. I was a tax preparer in my past life and all my friends and family used to call on me  to do their taxes, usually the week before they were due. I finally showed them how to use TurboTax and walla, I'm off the hook :woohoo: Its really easy...just answer the questions.

Wow! I miss a day of reading and find out Suzie’s pregnant (Congratulations!), we learn how to make a hammock out of duct tape, we're introduced to the new duct tape wine transport vehicle, Tom promises to do the hammock race with a duct tape thong, Stevemed introduces us to the banana hammock, you all learned your Pirate names, and we learned some really good jokes. Wow, life does come at you fast.

We really really really can’t wait to meet all of you!

Yup, it's 12:15 here...AM that is....UGH!! I think it's the diet coke I had at dinner....both of them!!

I'm gonna get them done while Ed is in Palm Beach so that he can look at it before I send it. I used to do our taxes a long time ago but when we bought the house, way too much complication. I actually wanted to be a CPA, took three years of accounting in high school and helped Ed in his college business course he took a few years back! LOVED IT!! But then I like anything with numbers, guess that's why I was a Billing Manager at my last job! Only took me three years to get there! WOOHOO!! I do miss it at times but it's mostly just my friends I miss.....can't have it both ways, ya' know. I love being a SAHM so that's one reason I'm excited to start a home business! Love doing the proposals, bills, ledger stuff....It's kind of a rush for me!

Okay, found a good boring book to read. I'm off like...well, you finish that one! :teeth:

What a difference a day makes!! Now you've learned what loons we really are and how punchy we get late at night!!! Missed you guys!

BTW - mom and Grandma are setting up an appointment for a health care giver based on your advice to me. That was super helpful! She interviews some tomorrow. Still not doing great but she got her medic necklace to work (the system goes down and has to be reset each time they work on the phone lines in her building - what a crock!!! They need to figure out a new system!!!) Tonight is her first night alone since it all started. Mom was with her for a few nights since she got snowed in with her. She got up in the middle of the night fine by herself, no more falls. Goes back to the dr. tomorrow afternoon for more tests....we'll see how it all plays out. I HATE her doctor, but then again I HATE Kaiser!

Another side note: We've been kicking around names (Took me forever to come up with Victoria's name. Thank God for Animal Planet! I saw a really pretty Irish Setter on a show one day and her name was Victoria! That did it for me - I am a dog lover!) So anyway, we're thinking of Elizabeth Claire (grandma's first name, mom's middle name) or Meghan Elizabeth (Meghan just because today I like the name). And William Albert Mattern III if it's a boy. That was Ed's dad. He died 13 years ago this year of asbestos cancer he contrived from being in the Navy boiler room. Yup, that was a nice healthy settlement, but I'd rather have Pops back! Miss that old dog! Alot like Joe Paterno in mannerisms.....crusty old man with a tender heart! Love ya' Pops!

Okay, getting really chatty and maudlin now...gotta go!!!!

Suziemva,

As for the photo album, I started to post something, and realised that I don't have any recent pictures. I could start with our last family picture, which was taken like 3 years ago when we renewed our vows in front of Cinderella's castle. :bride: The girls are both taller than me now, so there has certainly been a big change there. I'll start with that tonight, but keep in mind they are old. I'll take a look and see what else I can find.

Barb

Alright Barb!!! Love the pics!! WOW~can I come live with you?? At least let me come sledding! (Tori's upset cause the snow's melting and she can't go anymore!!)

Your right Barb, what a difference a day makes....I'm with you. Being on the West Coast we kind of lose out as we're hours behind the quick witted.

Suzie, hope you enjoy your boring book. I'm at the end of Memoirs of a Geisha. So off to bed to finish it. Great reading. Can't believe a man wrote it. What insite.

Sweet Dreams :cloud9:

I can't wait for this cruise! We got our airline tix today.

I'm glad your grandmother is doing better. Sounds like she's making alot of progress; no more falls. Sorry you don't like your Kaiser doc. I've always liked KP; they were one of the first to put a strong focus on prevention. Call the AGS, they'll give you names of folks you might like better.

I like the names you've picked for your baby. It's such a gift to name children after people we love. Tangible hope for the future.

I'm off to bed. And you should too. :-)

I still got you beat! 2:24 am, book read, bored out of my gorde!!! I hate having insomnia! Nothing on tv....all those channels and not one stinkin' thing on....

Suzie-before I forget- I am so sorry you are up. I usually try to wake Pat up by kicking him repeatedly, that way, while he is awake I can try to fall asleep fast.

I love the names you have picked out. My sister's little girl is Meghan Elizabeth. We are going to see her this weekend. She is the cutest chubbiest 2 year old I ahve ever seen with big brown eyes and a shock of curly dark brown hair! Claire is beautiful too. Hannah is Hannah Elizabeth and Kate is Kathryn Grace. We started her life indending to call her Kathryn but she just isn't. She is a Katie all the way.

Case in point. I had an appointment with my accountant yesterday. She lives about 40 minutes from my house. nothing like a little vday trip to the accountant to make you feel loved  I have NO idea how we found her. But once a year is not bad, I guess.

She has a 4 year old and suggested that I bring crazy Kate. I knew as soon as we got there and surveyed their toys that I was going to have to take Kate out of there kicking and screaming. And I was right- but FIRST I had to remove the little girls brand new ballet outfit(which Kate was wearing with NO underwear) without ripping it or removing any of the mirabou at the bottom...... Katie is like a Magpie with the "shiny objects". Her shiny objects are mirabou and sequins! I warned the accountant before I did it and told her that it wasn't going to be pretty! And true to my word- meanwhile the woman and her daughter looked on with horror while I tried my best to stay calm. She kept sayinig...."It's ok Jen, she can borrow it.....". Like I was going to go back on my word just to shut her up. Tough time for a life lesson, but it had to be!

Needless to say- I am disappointed in myself that I had to hire an accountant. I used to love doing taxes. My dad and I were like human "deduction finders". Well, now Pat works in 1 state, lives in another, pays state tax to only 1. It got complicated, and I didnt' want to owe in error. Then the business- thank god for her- she's a better deduction finder than me!

Ohsodisney-Mike is Mermaid Patty's hubby. They live in Baldwinsville, NY. I don't know why I keep maybe erroneously referring to CNY if you don't live there. For some reason I thought you did. It wouldn't be the first major confusion on this board!

And as for WalMart! I was only half serious last night! Please don't FLAME :furious: me!! I am not a fan of Sams. WalMart I do like. In fact I think I am going to change my household purchases from Target to WalMart. Last time I went to Target for laundry detergent- I came out with way too much stuff. I can't imagine that it would be any different at WalMart, but at least the household stuff is cheaper. In reality-we have a target 3 miles from us, where Wally's is a good 15 minutes in a direction I never go. Sorry if I offended anyone with my wally's comment, it was intended as a joke!

I am chaperoning Hannah's field trip this monrning to Valley Forge Historical Park. I love it-we ride our bikes thru there in the warmer weather as it is only about a 5 minute drive from us. BUT- there is a foot of snow on the ground so it should be interesting!

HAve a good day all!
jelly wrist Tess!

Steve, I found it, the one and only Banana Hammock

bh2.jpg

Thank goodness I now have one mental image taken care of.

Now I have to look for a picture of a Jelly Wrist (I think it will be harder)

Good Morning all, PJ how is your head with HGP passion fruit Martinis, btw tell him to bring the recipe on the ship.

Pango, welcome big boy, don't be a stranger.

Tom pirate:

My head is fine. I only had 1! Didn't want to overdo it on a school night! I hope Julie(or anyone) is not offended by my walmart bash last night. I did apologize. Although, should I be watching for you guys on Jerry Springer? :)
I've already gotten my space reserved for when Katie goes on and tells the world that she is a naked weatherwoman because I ruined her life! :rotfl2:

Have a good day!
pj

You don't seriously think I was offended, do you??? Oh, sister you know me...I am not the easily offended type! And I meant mine as a joke too! While I do love Walmart, it is not typically something that I would stand on the corner and yell out!!!!!

Have fun on your field trip this morning!

I have to laugh about your Walmart comment. Not offended at all, btw! We have gotten addicted to Beyond the Bull on TLC (behind the scenes tour with some PRC bull riders). The other night JW told his fiancee that Walmart is the Ultimate. You can get clothes there, do your grocery shopping, get your hunting supplies, get your haircut, and your nails done all at one place! What else do you need? I'm dying of laughter right now!

We are Target snobs most of the time but the Walmart here has a better toy section (for Tori, not Ed!) Everytime I go to Walmart with Tori during the day we see the manager walking around in mens suits and ladies shoes - size 14 by the looks! If we go at night, the manager is all woman - but what an ugly woman. Um, sweetie, if you're gonna dress in drag, please shave.....your face and your legs! UGH! 6'3", about 300 lbs....must be Portugese because of the unibrow and body hair....Steve, do you have any family down this way?!?! Not a pretty site.....

Gotta get Tori her breakfast. Slow going this morning....lots of naps today and NO soda for me!!!

I love TARGET too!!!!!!!!!!! Target and Walmart, and The Gap, and Old Navy, and Ann Taylor, and Ann Taylor Loft, and The Childrens Place, and Gymboree, and Kohls, and The Limited, and Hobby Lobby, and Marshall Fields, and of course The Disney Store!!!! Love shopping!!!! In fact, going today to do some returning, exchanging, buying!!! I am an addict!

Mornin' all - every one of you Wal-Mart lovers too  Geesh, can't believe you all remembered your conversations, I did my damndest impression of the pen light in MIB to make you all forget.

Home with sick chid this morning. He seems OK - but he is banned from school for a day. He at least got to be at their party yesterday.

Suzie, I love all the names you have chosen. Catrina's middle name is Grace. I really like it too, Jen.

OK - not feeling witty right now, so I will just be off to care for Quinn. See ya all - have fun without me posting a million posts while reviewing screwey deals.
:wave

Abby's middle name is Grace too...love it! In case you are wondering, we have Lindsey Ann, Sarah Elizabeth and Abigail Grace! Both Sarah and Grace have gotten quite popular...Sarah has 2 Sarah's in her class and 2 Grace's in her class!

Good morning all,

OhsoDisney, The picture on the other site is from our vow renewal in 2003. We wanted to do it for our 15th anniversary (June), but we didn't get there until the following April. It still was before our 16th anniversary, so I'm sticking to my story that we did it for our 15th. We will be married 20 years next year. Our honeymoon was fishing at the lake 20 minutes from home. We were straight out of high school and no money. We did finally get a nice trip to Mexico 4 years later, and came back with our oldest child! :thumbsup2 Product of Canada, made in Mexico?!

Suziemva,

You can move in anytime. You have to be able to use a hammer though. That seems to be all we do anymore. You will have to build your own room you see. Do you think you can handle a Canadian Winter? We just moved down south here 2 years ago, and I was checking the weather for our old home. -50 C last night up there! That is around -58 F. Can't say I miss the weather up there. We have a 1/4 section (1/2 mile x 1/2 mile square) if you want to build a cabin for the summer though. We are right along the boarders of a National Park and a Provincial Park.

I keep telling myself that I won't be checking in at this site all day, that I'm actually going to get some work done. You guys are too much fun and I keep finding myself checking to see if something else come up. I think I'm going to have to introduce my husband to the other pirates, he doesn't seem too excited about this trip. Few other things on his mind right now I guess. :rolleyes1
