Hi Pat

You put a great big smile on my face tonight :) . I am so happy to have found someone that has been through what I am going through . I will totally love to do this with you , and on the ship . The weight gain is my biggest concern , I have never been really big and I don't know how well I would handle it . I did join a gym and I love to go , so does DH , and my girls love the daycare there too !!

Well we are off to the wake .

Hey CG you are doing better then me with the Christmas shopping . I only have a few things for the girls . We have 17 nieces and nephews to buy for too .

Guess what , they are saying it may be a bad travel weekend for us , and there is also tropical storm Gamma treatening Belize right now !!!

Hi
I have a quick question .
Is anyone wearing a really formal gown on the cruise ?
My friend just gave me 3 and I'm not sure if I will wear them or not .
I think on this cruise coming up I probally will elect to just wear a tropical dress on the formal nights .

I'm planning on the full formal thing for the cruise. I think some of the men in our group may even wear tuxes.

Hi Mketting

Where again in NY are you from ? I'm sure I have asked before but for the life of me I can't remember :confused3

Well , I guess I will have to borrow some shoes to go along with the dresses , Darn !!! . I am not a pantyhose chick but I guess right after dinner I can get the heck out of the dress :jumping1: I am really not a wine and roses girl , more like a whiskey girl , just like that song . Don't get me wrong I would love a glass wine with dinner any day .

Well I ate a chocolate tall cake from Ruby Tuesday's today for lunch and oh god that was GOOD !

Planning on wearing formal and semi-formal since DH owns a tux - gotta get the use out of it and any old excuse to go shopping, right?

Alright TT, we do have a social life you know.....we were out tonight having wine(and pizza :rotfl2: ) with my dear friend Mindy who's birthday is today! Katie fell asleep on my lap at dinner......

Anyway, for the formal question....you wear what you are comfortable with. I have always been accused of being overdressed for everything I do, but when it comes to cruises.....I don't want to bother with getting all fussed up. I loved to get dressed up, that comes naturally...but the whole formal thing is not me...I do have a really pretty short but full skirted cocktail dress that I will be wearing(probably twice-cause nothing else will fit me by the end of the week!) and my hubby wears a dark grey suit and we feel totally at home. Budwiser Mike wears a tux, he also feels totally at home. It is about 1/2 and 1/2 and again...it is totally what you are comfortable with. No one will think you are out of place either way.

Finally tomorrow is a NO SOCCER DAY for us!!!! YAY!!!! Winter indoor soccer starts in 2 weeks for both girls so we have a little tiny break. We are going to enjoy it!

Ohsodisney- We live in Rochester and it is cold. There has been snow on and off the last few days. All the hunters are glad though.

We finally finished the remodeling of our family room!!!! :jumping1: What started out as a weekend project turned into 6 weeks and a lot more $$$ but when my parents arrived last night to spend a few days with us their reaction showed it was all worth it!

Thats right , I asked you about Six Flags , wow my memory is going quickly and I'm only 36 .

Well I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving . I have to say even thou we have had our share of heartaches and losses this year , my thought for tonight is ,I am thankful I was luckly enough to know to ones we lost my :dog: Simmi , my dear Uncle John , & Ed!! I am also thankful for my family , they are so wonderful and I was given a true gift when my girls were born  , I asked for an angel many years ago and my DH entered my lfe , my parents adopted me into their family and hearts , and for that I also one of the luckest people alive .
I hope everyone has similar thanks !
Take care
I know the next week will be so busy , but I do hope I get a chance to pop in before we leave . Oh also thankful we are fortunate enough to take wonderful vacations , WOOHOO :) :) :) :) :) :)

What a great night we had last night! DH took me out (along with another couple) for our anniversary. What a great time! We went to Morton's - I LOVE that place! My friend and I shared the Maine Lobster and NY Strip. They have the best Godiva Chocolate dessert but the chocolate souffle with cream is a close second! The best part is that I tried....ready for this....it's a good one....a Sour Apple Martini! I'm in love!!!!!! Yummy!!!! We racked up quite a bill last night but it was perfect!

I'm off to nap since I didn't sleep much last night (haven't worn heels in a while and my back is a bit out of sorts) and tonight will be a late one.

So glad you all had a very good time out for your anniversary! Its such a rarity for us too. Your meal sounds like my perfect meal. Gotta confess to you that I bought appletini mix and make up apple martinis at home A LOT with Grey Goose.

We also went out Saturday night for a date night - our first in, well, now let's see, um...before summer I think. Now that is sad. We went to a fabulous and hip new restaurant in town and then went to see Harry Potter - Oh, I loved that! We tried some cool new drinks too - I had a dark and stormy and a pear mimotini. FUN!

As for formal nights, I do plan on wearing formal (either one I just got or my old ones designed specifically for cruising that I currently don't fit into) and depending on packing issues my husband will be wearing either a suit or a tux - I say depending on packing because its easier to do the tux as you can rent it right there on the ship. We love this about cruising. Its fun. We love the photos too. I have already bought my son a formal shirt and suit pants - he ha alot of ties too, so he will be in a suit less the jacket. I also have my daughter's dresses too for both formal a semi formal nights. I needed to pick them up early as it will be off-season for us and impossible to get them right before the cruise.

Hello Magic crusiers! Nice anniversary present there Suzie!!!

Thought I would pop in real quick an give a quick warning...

Hi ALL!

I can not believe it is THANKSGIVING this week! Time Flies. :hourglass . which means WE ARE CLOSER TO THIS CRUISE!

Pittsburgh has been really warm.. BUT ... tomorrow, snow is to arrive!

Regarding the formal question-- I have a nice black velvet number I break out, for such the occasion! It travels well. My DD4, will be wearing her Xmas dress, also bought with an eye for "cruise". DD will sport a green suit w/tie. Not too fancy, but dressier than normal.

I was checking out castaway.com, and Barb has a new set of Eastern Navs, if anyone is interested. New menus too! I read the menus and gain 5 pounds!!! :earseek:

Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

-Sue

On the formal wear question - My husband will be wearing a suit - he doesn't have a tux and refuses to rent one. My DS(13) will be wearing dress pants a shirt and tie - and he will be sooo happy about it! :rotfl2:

My daughter loves to dress up and has a great tea length dress. I am undecided - most likely I will wear a black cocktail type dress.

biggest loser weigh in; down 2 pounds this week. Finally, the scale moves. :cheer2:

Big loser weigh in : down 3 yeah!!!!!! :cool1:

And for the formal night question- How formal for my 7yr old DS?
The rest of us are all set but he is a tough one.. any advice?

I'm off to shop for a TURKEY!!

I went to this awesome second hand store called Kid2Kid - its a chain - and bought my son Talbot's suit pants and a dress shirt. He also has ties - that will be it for him. It cost me, minus the tie, all of $7. The pants still had the tags on them! He has worn them now about 4 times. They have come in soo handy.

Biggest Loser weigh in: lost 1.4 lbs (Morton's did me in!!)

Good luck to everyone! You can do it!

You are the third, I think, large group travelling. You all bring your own parties. What FUN! I can't get one of our friends to join us on this trip, let alone 10!
