Thanks CASTLEGAZER

That would be to funny, We could be on the same plane! Providence? or as us locals know it as TF GREEN.

We can have a party on the way down! :cool1: I am from Worcester, so its where I definately like to fly out of.

Yup - PVD, baby! I am searching for early morning Thursday - with an arrival time somewhere in the range of noon - that puts us down in WDW at a good time to check in and get settled for a dinner at Whispering Canyon. The good news is that those times seem to always be a little slower on the uptake - so hopefully I will have a fighting chance.

Just in case you didn't find the link - and for anyone else waiting, hoping, begging.....

No working out for me today as I went back to the dentist for yet more work - but I told him none today, you just fix this damn tooth ache you created. I have been weeping like a baby every time I eat (now you would think this was a good enough diet, but alas, no) because of the filling they put in last week. He hopefully fixed me - it was due to the filling creating a new bite pattern.

Tom - I fought it with a Diet Coke - yeah baby!

Well I'm back and where to start?

After reading some (actually alot) of your emails, I decided that I needed to get to know you guys. Especially if it involves Key Lime Martinis...yum.

I'm in my 50's and single. I live in the wine country of Northern California, so you know I will be bringing some of the wine country with me. Can't leave home without it.

I'll be cruising with my family and my sisters family (14 in all). I've been on 9 cruises, the 1st one being Disney on the Big Red Boat.

As to whos going, heres the lineup:

Myself - Deck 7 Verandah (yep...that's right I have the room to
myself :cheer2:)
Sister and DH - Deck 7 Verandah
Daughter and DH and DD (7)- Deck 5 Outside
Son (25) and Nephew (16) - Deck 7 Inside
Niece and DH and DD (10) - Deck 5 Outside
Nephew and DW and DD (4) - Deck 5 Outside

I thought I was an overplanner...but after reading you posts I'd say you'all have outplanned me. I can't believe some of you have been planning this for over a year. We just booked in August and are just in the early stages of being consumed with the planning of this trip. In searching the web for info about Disney and the cruise I happened upon the disboards. I've never been on a forum or chat room so this is all new to me. In fact I tried to send 2 other emails to no avail.

I look forward to getting to know you and meeting all of you on the Magic. :hourglass

Have to run as I'm off to San Francisco to see the Rolling Stones.

Partypat princess:

P.S. I lost ZIP, NADA -0-. I guess I went to too many birthday parties last week. Hopefully I will do better this week.

Since PhillyJen can't remember the details of the "THONG" story, I did a little research and this is what I came up with...Headgear Pat must really exist because he posted this AWESOME list of things from the last cruise that didn't suck! Read "NEW FAD IN DOLL CLOTHES" for the thong story...read the rest of them just for a good laugh!!!

This is an actual post from Headgear Pat dated 5-12-2004 (immediately following our last cruise)

Headgear Pat The Disney Cruise 2004 - Top X things that don’t suck
--as told by yours truly...

Nude sun-bathers at Le Gallion beach in St. Martin.
Where else can you check these out with your wife present?
“Hey look at those..”
“Those are huge...”
“Nice, but it looks like they hurt…”
“I’ve never seen sun screen applied there before…”

But the hour of meaningful conversation my wife (Philly Jen) about these “items on display”, reminded me of why we have coffee table books…to merely stimulate conversation.

Jamaica James and the $80 case of beer…Buckets of beer (buy 5 they give you the sixth one for free). Hey, it was vacation, so we ordered 4 of them for the day. Just so I didn’t feel like I got ripped off, I brought the buckets home…still have found no use for them.

Confirmed Motion Sickness on A1A.
My wife (Philly Jen) claims it was the party flu.
I claim it was motion sickness.
Thanks to Tom (our one man jury), it has been confirmed Motion Sickness coupled with some bad fish. Not a pretty site but a remarkable ending to a wonderful cruises.
It also reminded me that my days as a rock star truly are numbered.

The look on our Room Stewards face when I asked him if the curtain in the room (i.e. the one that separates the adult bed from the kids bunk beds) was sound proof. You would’ve thought I was talking in another language...

Introducing Key Lime Martini’s to new friends (and hopefully to Bowtie Joe and JenLyn)
You might think you can look up the recipe and recreate yourself but there’s always a little magic in those drinks when I make them.…so good going down, you forget how many you’ve had. The informal party the last night. Hmm, party in a stateroom the size of most peoples closets…okay, we can make it work. And it did. Party was great and thanks to everyone who assisted in reducing the number of items I had to declare at customs. I was left standing, with a puzzled look, at the customs agent…”I swear I had more than this to claim…”

Tom/Julie and family, Steve/Laura (the Pango Clan) and our friends from the ‘cuse (that Syracuse to those outside the upstate NY area)…Great drinks, great times, great fun…

New Fad in Doll Clothes.
Somewhat of an inside story, but I thought I would share. Our friends in another cabin from ‘cuse, said they left a bag in our room with her daughter doll clothes in them. My wife emailed her and said, that we accidentally packed it. My wife, being diligent, decided to send it back to her on Monday when we returned home from the cruise. Our friends received the package, but indicated there was a pair of unidentified, white thong panties also in the bag. No, Tom they weren’t my size….Yes, please remind Philly Jen to check the bags before sending…

The Birth of Headgear Pat.
I don’t why my wife does it but every time we are around friends, she tells them I have braces (like I traveling act at the carnival). But this time, it worked out for the better as Julie, asked in her most of serious voices….”Do you wear headgear?” …the rest is history and hence, the birth of Headgear Pat….

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

See, I wasn't kidding!!! This is good stuff!!!

Partypat - OH MY! Sorry but I forgot to welcome you to the boards! May have been late but, well, you know the rest....

Tom, thanks for posting that!!! I got a great chuckle from those rememberances! I'll make sure I know where my undies are!!!

Thursday will be our 15 year anniversary. We've actually been together 18 years but married 15 of those. Hard to believe we've been together half my lifetime! Also can't believe I had to remind him about it! Oh, yeah, sure you made those dinner plans for Saturday a while back! That's why you had such a blank expression on your face when I asked if you had set the DVR to tape the Penn State / Michigan State game!......and no get off the sofa free cards! Bummer!

Welcome Party Pat. Yes my family has been planning this trip for quite a long time.

After an all girls 4 day cruise in 2003 (me, mom,dd, cousin, aunt) my mom said that when my sisters's twins turned 5 (2008) she and my dad would take both of our entire families on cruise. Well last year at this time my mom said "What if we went when the twins were 3?" My sister of course said that was fine with her and that was all I needed to hear. I was online the very next day looking for dates and the best price and we booked a few days later. We called my Uncle's family and they all joined in. They all think I am nuts with the planning because I even made them each individualized cruise folders with info on the ports, excursions, menu's and navigators and age group navigators for their kids. For me planning really is part of the fun.

"Mommy, I want a motorcycle!"
"Did daddy tell you to ask mommy?"
"No, I want to drive like that lady in the car show."

So says my motorcycle loving daughter. Daddy only lets her sit on his and honk the horn. She's not allowed to "ride" it until her feet can reach the pegs. BUT daddy showed her a little 50cc bike that's her size and now she wants it! Nevermind that she can't steer, etc.

So, here she is in all her glory with the stuntmen from LMA at MGM....she was looking for the "lady driver" but she had disappeared....bummer!

Just wanted to share this - going through my pics tonight and thought this was a funny one to share!

OMG Julie! I tried to find that today and couldn't!!! You rock and I will tell you why.....I think you might have just inspired HGP to post something!!!! He just read it(with his retainer on...) and said..."Wow...I am pretty funny!!!"

We just...I mean JUST got back from having our basement bar countertop priced(ouch)and to Max and Erma's for an Upper Providence Elementary(our school) night......Kate fell asleep during the 3 mile ride home!!!!

I haVe to go work on this onion breath or I will NEVER get to sleep!

Party Pat-one cocktail hour with this group and you are a friend!!! I LOVE wine, pretty much a wine snob except living in PA- the prohibition state....it is kind of difficult to get good wine advice.... Thankfully-witty Headgear Pat-my husband works in DE the state of no tax! Currently our faves are Jordan Cab and Chard(special occasion wines), Toasted Head Chard-HGP likes their Cab and HGP's fave Louis Martini Cab from Napa? we think!! Buttery Oaky Chards are my favorite! Can't wait to talk wine at the Wine Tasting on day 2!

Chat soon! Yes...just in case my other big losers were wondering...I had a burger tonight....and FETZER(ick!) Ouch!

PJ

yeah well, I broke down yesterday afternoon and got a bag of Fritos - for freakin crying out loud - FRITOS - now why I couldn't have made that slip into popcorn who the hell knows - but it was freakin Fritos. So you and your burger have good company.

They all think I am nuts with the planning because I even made them each individualized cruise folders with info on the ports, excursions, menu's and navigators and age group navigators for their kids. For me planning really is part of the fun.

Ok - now this is totally putting me to shame - no way in hell have I been that anal...........YET.

Yup, been planning this since October 2004 when the dates came out.

now note to self, "self - keep close watch over those lace thongs"

sounds like a meet time - I am soo in for this. I am a wee bit limited in my coversationality in wineese, but I am an ardant student. I am German through and through so go ahead and ask me and I will trade beer knowledge for wine knowledge. I just had a Fat ******* Chardonay the other night that I thought was pretty fabulous, though.

Crap, I wasn't swearing or anything it was Fat Bas tard wine for God's sake.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am in some serious trouble come cruise time if this is how comical everyone is!!!!! I couldn't stop laughing, readin through page 52!!!! you all are nuts!! and should be comedy writers!! Step aside Larry David make room for 4-29ers!!!

Diet update-

yesterday I had a lovely fruit salad for breakfast - no time for lunch and I spent most of the afternoon sitting on the tarmac at Ohare. So you know what happened, right?

Dinner - Martini (actually and flirtini -yummy!) Hamburger and - yes- Buffalo Wings! How is that for discipline? ;)

Oh well - today is another day!

Tom- I know what you mean about the American Girl Store. I was in downtown Chicago a few weeks ago and made my first visit. I did some serious damage to the old credit card! But hey, I did get some Christmas shopping done! :cheer2:

Suzie - congrat's on your anniversary!! :love2:

I think my liver's in trouble.

Suzie - since I forgot to say this while kicking myself in the butt for my Fritos episode:

Product-HappyAnniversary.gif

Awww, thanks you guys!

OOOOhhhhh, wine tasting?! I do like to try different ones although I have to stay clear of the oakey ones - allergic to the sulfites in them. So, I stay a white and blush wine-o!

Did I tell you that DH brought home a oie? It's a cheesecake pumpkin pecan streusel thing....it keeps calling my name from the refrigerator...unfortunately, I have answered that call :( So, all that time on the treadmill last night - poof into a piece of pie! AAARRRGGHHH!!!

All right, completely unacceptable people - page two I go and find you'all on.

I was out getting everyone flu shots.

Now I have to crunch because I have been completely bad about focusing on work lately.

TTFN!

Oh Dear

Wow guys , good job on the diets LOL !!!

Well , I truely give you all a hand in the field of dieting , it's truely a feat .

I , well still not smoking . the gym thing really sucks too , I have been cursing out the aerobics instructor for the past 2 days , what was she thinking , an hour & a half long class . Needless to say I wasn't able to walk yesterday , really !

I went back to my blonde hair , oh god I forget how long it takes to get use to a new hair color , but for now I hate it .I did ask while getting my hair done " Why don't you offer wine " , it would probally take the edge off . She said too many drunk old ladys HEHE .

Hi Pat , welcome  . Sounds like you are going to be a blast :)

Well off to kill that one frink'in fly in my house that has nothing better to do then buzz around our heads , I think he is looking for someone to kill him like DR Misquito Kavorkin , spelled that wrong , oh well . I'm going to go help him out !!!!

:ssst::hyper2: pssst. over here...... I think someone may be doing an awesome job with the no smoking thing, but God help her husband :teeth: :wave2:

This is my second try. Hopefully, this picture comes thru, as I wanted to show you what it looks like in my neck of the woods this time of year. Its beautiful with all the vineyards changing colors.

PhillyJen you said you love Jordan Cab. Well the winery is not far from where this picture was taken.

I'm not much of a wine drinker (I like my cocktails equally), but I've learned alot and acquired a taste for the good stuff while living here. Not to mention that wine just seems to come my way.

When I went walking this morning the whole town smelled like a winery from the grapes being crushed and fermenting.

Well I'm off to weightwatchers, but I doubt the scales will dip in my favor. I think I had way too much fun this week to have lost anything.

Partypat princess:

PS: The DiS won't allow me to post a picture because I need a mimimum number of posts. What's up with that? How may posts do you need?

We have snow :Pinkbounc

My poor little Kenna has waited weeks now for the snow to come and today my parents decided they wanted the girls to spend the night at their house , unfortunatley Syracuse is not getting any snow :sad2: We are only 40 minutes from Syracuse but it's far enough away that they really don't get the lake effect that we do . Holly I don't think cares either way she just wants me to put her sand bucket in my carry on , she tried to put it all in , shovels , pails , the other little sand things they use , I managed most . We decided to do 2 days with the girls at the beaches 1 in Cozumel and 1 in Costa Maya , the other day my Mom & Dad are going to take them on a glass bottom boat while we do the Sting Ray swim . In Belize DH and I are doing the Aerial Trek and cave tubing and I am really really looking forward to that , a much needed break !!!!
Last night a dear friend of our passed away so we have a wake and funeral to go to this weekend  .

Oh Dh is the most laid back guy ever , he never swears or yells so I'm sure now that I am not smoking he wishes he was somewhere else sometimes . No really thou I am not that bad , I'm doing better then I thought , I just think I will hopefully now get to see my girls get married and have children :)

I was just teasing you. :p Maybe I should have said I wouldn't want to be a fly in your path. You are doing awesome! Keep it up, your lungs will regenerate and you will live longer.

I am so sorry for your loss.

You will have to tell us more about cave tubing - that sounds sooo cool!

PartyPat - well, as I don't seem to have a minimum number of posts issue, I have never encountered the pic posting warning. You may be able to post picture into the picture area of the DIS here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/index.php

Then you can link us and we can go and look. I am baffled, but soon enough you will have plenty of posts.

Well, its Friday and there will be no gym going this week. I have to hit the stores at lunch today - its going to be rough as we get closer to Christmas - I have done no shopping yet - CRUNCH, CRUNCH CRUNCH TIME!

HEY, check it out - this is my 4,000th post!!!!!! Woa, that's a lot of gabbing.

As I knew it would, weightwatchers was a disappointment. I lost Zip, but then again I didn't gain anything, so I guess theres something to be said for maintenance. All the exercise must be helping. I go to Curves 3 times a week and walk for an hour 2 times a week.

Ohsodisney: I quit smoking on August 5th after smoking for the last 31 years.
I gained 8 pounds right off the bat and thats what got me on this diet and exercise plan. I was afraid I was going to turn into a blimp. When I saw that this group had the biggest loser contest going I thought it would be great to have the support, but to also have someone who recently quit smoking is great. I'm sure we can help each other out, especially on the ship. It always helps to commiserate with someone else who is going thru the same thing.

And snow....can't even imagine. Its been in the high 70's and low 80's the last week, which is quite unusal for this time of year. Everyone is still wearing their summer clothes. :umbrella:

Castlegazer: I tried photobucket, but as I said I didn't have enought posts to do it. I guess you have to be commited before they let you play with the extras. I'll try again periodically.

Have a great weekend everyone.
