4/25/09 Magic - First Visit To Tortola!

The Disney Vacation has started. Arrived at Vero Beach Villa yesterday. Has been windy but sunny. Calling for rain today. Wen thur Fri to be sunny arond 80.

Following the weather for next week and there is a 30 to 40% rain in the VI's. Those of you who have the power of positive thinking start thinking of sun and dry!

We will be onboard for this cruise! There are 4 of us including my DH, DS 13 and DD 9. Looking forward to relaxing. Can anyone update me on the internet situation onboard. Should I bring my laptop? and do you know what they are charging these days for internet access. We haven't been onboard since Christmas 2006. Thanks!

Hope all are having a great Monday. This Monday is not going they way I want it!! Both of my bosses are going to be out of the office Wednesday thru Friday and I am gone Friday so can we say "let's pile on the work!!" Plus a coworker is out today and tomorrow so guess who is her back up?! Yep me.

Ok I am breathing and saying "I leaving Friday morning for a magical vacation!" Ok I feel better now.

I am packed and ready to go, and the best part is NO ONE at work can get in touch with me for a solid week.!!!

Welcome to the new folks on here! We'll have a blast on the cruise!

It's so nice to say "I'm going on vacation THIS week!"

My Monday is turning out rather nice... my work computer is having issues and I can't use Outlook or any MS Office applications. Now normally that's pretty catastrophic since I literally can't do any work. But.... because I'm going on vacation THIS week.... it doesn't seem to phase me too much.


hehehe.... tech support is on it.... feel free to take all week please.

Less than 48 hours until work is done and then I can count down to when we get on the plane Thursday morning

My boss stopped giving me a workload so I can take care of what I got now!

No one is my back up, but had to divy up some work that would not be able to wait, 2 areas of my work out of 20!

Printed out the pics, the cabin list, the FE list, the FE cabin list/pictures of the ship.

So for the group:
Meet at the port
Meet while having lunch
Meet at the promende (spelling wrong) at 3 pm
Muster Drill at 4
Sail Away at 5 and leave all "normality" at the dock and into magic/never never land (Peter Pan had it right!)

No, it's not you Dot - - - I am giggling as I read the entries. There is a definite giddiness. I'm even that way even tho I still have to pack and put together my FE's. I am the one that is ready weeks ahead usually, but it hasn't worked out. I'm of the mindset that it will get done even if I wear the same outfit for 2 weeks (since we have a WDW week after the cruise)....so I can't complain. Yes - - please put out all the positive energy for sunshine in the VI's. It's rained so much in Phila that all I care about is sunshine.

I'm gonna dance off of here and get out a suitcase

Some of my co-workers are tired of hearing my talk about my cruise. But come folks don't you just want to dance and say" i'm going on a Disney Cruise."

Almost all set. We leave tomm at 5pm after work, when I leave here at 8:15 to will all be up to DH to get it in the car. Hopefully he will remember to pick up the kids and me too! I'm getting to the point if we don't have it, we don't need it. See you soon!

Wishing I were there or at least closer than I am. We are still leaving on Friday no matter how much pleading and begging I am doing

I keep thinking: 1 week from today I will be....... The FE's gifts are packed...took up one suitcase! Thankfully Southwest allows 2 checked bags per person Formal wear & Pirate gear are packed. Completed the check-in paperwork.

Still working on the rest of the packing I work best under pressure

I'll join in the dance We leave in 3 1/2 days

I got our FE's finished this evening with a little help from DH

I have all the extra items (FE's; shoe bag; door magnets for door; etc etc) in a box. Does that count for packing???

I promise to be giddy when we leave BR on Friday morning heading to New Orleans to catch our flight, right after we drop "the boys" at the spa. That part always makes me sad.

Don't worry Janie - I'm kind of in your predicament but I haven't done my FE's yet - -I'll get DD to help me on THursday since she has the day off

My kitties don't get boarded but I leave them here to take care of the house - I expect them to clean and have a meal waiting for me when I get home . Well, I have 3 people lined up to feed them but it IS hard to leave them - they already recognize the suitcases and have that depressed look on their faces.

I'll dance again on the computer but the real dancing doesn't begin til we get to Florida
