4/25/09 Magic - First Visit To Tortola!

We really need a name for our cruise gang - but I'm not very good with that.
Any one have a suggestion?

(Weather in south Louisiana is sunny and warm - about 75!)

Hi everyone,



I am "Lucky Penny" - DW of scottrob - just wanted to say hello, and HOORAY!!! We just found out our DS and DDIL will be on this cruise with us! Not bringing our two perfect granddaughters, but maybe next time! They're still pretty young (2 and 4).

We loved meeting people ahead of time for our last cruise (9/22/07 Western) and linked reservations with two other couples - one from Illinois and one from the UK - so we could all have dinner together. It was like sitting down with old friends by the time we were there!

I agree 100% with DH's recommendation of the Tequila/Margarita seminar! Since we have three at sea days this time, I hope to check out the wine and martini tastings as well.

Look foward to getting to know you all!!

That's what we'll be celebrating his birthday on the cruise.

Anyone want some connecting secret porthole cabins (5522, 5524)??

I just sadly had to cancel our cruise. It's just too expensive for us right now, so we will wait until the new ships are out in 2010 and pray that DCL lowers their prices.

On a good note, we're going to Hawaii in September instead for half the price of the cruise!

DangerMouse, Sorry you won't be cruising with us - Wow! Hawaii for half the price? I keep thinking if one of the new ships is on the west coast, maybe they will cruise to Hawaii - I'd love to go sometime if it wasn't for all that air travel...

I realised last week that next year is our 10th anniversary - so we can let our waiters bring us a cake! On our last cruise our waiters were DETERMINED to give us a cake for something - we finally admitted that we both had birthdays that year, and an anniversary too, and they gave us a cake on our last night. Despite our valiant efforts we were unable to finish it ...

Hey just joining in. My DH and I just returned from our 3 week honeymoon in WDW and on the April 5th Western Caribbean and we had such a great time we booked the cruise to Tortola as well. Our tablemates and our neighbouring tablemates booked as well so I told them all to come on the Dis boards to catch up with everyone on the next cruise. I just got home 5 minutes ago and I can't wait for the next cruise!!
