Just so you have the info, living in Curwensville, PA (about an hour from Penn State).

Hey, we just convinced my Dad to book my Mom and himself on the same cruise for her 50th Birthday. So now it will be myself, my DH and my Mom and Dad!!

Morgy: I can verify that taking a cruise for a milestone birthday is a great way to spend it!! I took a cruise for my 50th and this cruise is in celebration of my DH's 50th.

Anyone else going to be celebrating a b'day while we sailing the seas??

It's a belated celebration because traveling at the end of April was cheaper than over her birthday, but we are celebrating my sister's birthday. She'll be 36. And a special aspect of her birthday is that her birthday is also "Gotcha Day" - it's a day that adoptive parents get to bring home their little bundle of joy. My sister met Hannah for the first time on her birthday. It was a great present! So it'll be her 36th birthday and 3rd Gotcha Day.

Here's a picture of us so you can get to know our lovely mugs:

Hi all!!

Just checking in to see what everyone is up to! I cannot believe the time is passing so quickly. Pretty soon we will all be doing the Happy Dance on Goofy's Pool!!!! Whoo Hooo...!!!

Don't really need to be celebrating ANYTHING on the cruise, that is worth it all in itself!:lmao:

But we are also going to celebrate 50th bday for DH (will have turned 50 Dec 22, 2008, but since it is so close to Christmas, we actually celebrate it February the following year to spread the cheer around):rotfl2: , then our 25, goodness gratious:confused: wedding anniversary:scared1: .

I was in San Diego this past week. One evening we went down to the harbor area and a Carnival ship - the Wonder of the Sea ?? - was docked. It made me more anxious for April to roll around so we could be on the Magic. We took a harbor tour later in the afternoon and followed the ship into the harbor before it headed out to sea.

I'm really getting excited about this trip - how many days it it ? :confused3
I'll have to check my trip ticker and find out.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

DCL will need to be prepared for 50th b-days on our cruise.

Debbie turns 50 the week after the cruise.

We planned the cruise as a double celebration Debbie's 50th birthday and 5 year anniversary.

We will also be celebrating our 1 year anniversary...even though we were married in november we took our honeymoon cruise last spril so we are counting this as our 1 year anniversary gift to each other!!

On our last cruise we did fish extenders and I was wondering if anyone else was wishing to do them on this cruise. It was a lot of fun and even though we do not have children we still had a great time filling all of the "mailboxes" with gifts from home. If anyone is interestyed we should start making a list of all those who will have fish extenders and the ages of their children (or adults!!)

What are fish extenders?:confused3

Thinking of holding the 4/25 Tortola cruise this week. What did you all pay for a CAT 7? Just wondering if I missed a great price a few months ago or if it is running the same. Thanks!!!

We would probably be interested in the fish extenders. I would like to know what others have done in the past.

Thanks for starting this.

BTW: I think we have another dancing day coming up soon, maybe tomorrow is the 275 day mark?? So you know what that means, Put on those dancing shoes!!

Not booked on this cruise, YET, have the one in my signature booked but have been thinking of changing to this one! :confused3 :headache: :rolleyes1

We are going to Rebook on the 9/1/08 cruise and it is then we will make the Choice.
pick up OBC and discount.

Partly did not book this cruise cause it was about $500.00 more than the one booked..
LOL

Great Pic of the Fish Extenders

They are essentially mailboxes that hang from the fish beside your room door. During the cruise Dis members drop off "mail" in these boxes for the guests in the room. Usually it's just for the children but it's also a lot of fun to do for adults as well. If you search fish extenders on this board there is a ton of info on how to make them, ideas for gifts, etc.

Some of the things that we got were...pirate tatoos on pirate night, magnets celebrating each night on the door, candy, disney themed items, souveniers from the dis members hometowns etc.

It's a lot of fun to go each night and see what is waiting for you at your door.

If anyone wants to participate in this I am willing to start a list with room numbers and ages so we can all plan on gifts!!

OK Peter, time to commit to this cruise. Guess we'll just have to work on you during the 5N, just like you'll did on us last year to get us to book the 5N. LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
