We're still showing cat 11 GTY.
I'm not holding my breath that we'll get up to a 9, but I am hoping!! I'm really curious how much an upgrade would be at the port.
Our last 4 night going from an 11 to an 8 in port was $140.
This is my 5th
DCL cruise, and it would be the first time in an inside cabin. I can do it, but this is a long cruise, so I'm a little nervous!!
We are also cat 11 gty (of course

. I've had cat 10, seen 9 (my Mom's), Cat 7 and cat 5.
The good news is, the inside cabins are way more spacious that you would think...compared to other lines, they seem huge! We had an inside on the Ruby in December and we were tripping over each other. Of course, I am wishing for a window or verandah also, but dh and I discussed it and we would rather spend money on "stuff" on the trip rather than upgrading at port, so unless we get a truly suckish location, I don't even think we'll try to upgrade. That way, we'll have another half day in Barcelona

. We are traveling sans kids, so as DH pointed out, it will be easy to go out to a couple of deck chairs and enjoy outside!
Weirdly, too, I think I prefer cat 7 Verandahs, I really liked the built in window seat, and I like a bit of privacy. It also seems that you couldn't really see the ocean sitting down very well on a normal verandah, it isn't clear like glass, so I think if I pay for a verandah again, I'll go for the navigator verandah.
I crafted my fish extender last week...my dh looked at me like I was absolutely nuts. I think he especially liked the black feather boa as a hanger
Oh, and I would love a balcony, but I actually prefer the layout of the inside cabins...I like having the sitting area first and the bed in the back of the room.
