Ok, Smeck, a nonshopping question for you guys:

When you go on excursions (snorkeling for us at Nassau) would you be comfortable leaving your bag/stuff on the snorkeling boat??? And on
Castaway Cay, are there lockers, or is it the honor system since everyone
is from the cruise???? I plan to snorkel and innertube with
DH and DS, so obviously no one will be sitting on the towel with our
stuff!!!????? What to do , what to do

I don't plan on taking lots of stuff, but if I understand it correctly, don't
we have to take our passports/keys/some cash/etc with us????

Alisa,

The triangles on the deck plans indicate connecting cabins and the top of the triangle points to the connecting cabin. Cabin 6058 is a cat 6 and most of the cat 6 cabins sleep 4. DCL will not let you book a cabin that won't sleep the number of people in your party.

All you really need to take with you is your KTTW card, photo ID for each adult, and perhaps some cash/credit card. Your passport should remain on the ship in the safe in your cabin. In Nassau, you may want to take a copy of the photo page (in case of an emergency), but you shouldn't need the real thing. We use a small watertight case that fits everything and can be worn around your neck on a lanyard.

As for CC, there are no lockers and we have never had anything taken from our chairs. We usually keep everything in a beach bag, out of sight. You only need your KTTW card, photo IDs and cash if you want to mail anything from the small post office (bring $1 bills - they don't have a lot of change). You will charge anything you want to buy on the island on your KTTW card.

I'm not sure what wristbands you're referring to. If it's the ones from the Lab/Club they are good for the whole cruise. The SeaBands work by putting pressure on an accupuncture pressure point and they would be good for the cruise as well.

I put the DIS meets list on the first page of this thread so it is easy to find. Thanks for that idea Sue, it was a great one! I'll update it as needed. It's about halfway down the first page, in my first post. If you don't mind that I add SR#'s, I'll put them there as well. Otherwise, they'll just be in the booklet. Some of you gave SR#'s to me right away, so I already added them. If you want me to add your # to the list on pg 1, let me know.

In just 19 short days I'll be ON MY WAY We're in Fort Myers for 3 days before the cruise.

Anyone think I'll be able to lose the last 8 pounds that I'm wanting to lose before then I have to confess that I'm actually doing pretty good with my diet and my exercise routine Of course I've only lost 4 pounds so far ... but totally increased my water intake this week and lost weight instead of staying the same. I think I've also lost some "inches" too because my clothes are fitting a little looser ... and that's a GOOD THING!

Hey Smeck ... sorry to interrupt the cruise talk with shopping talk. I'll be sure to remember NOT to post about all I've bought for this cruise

A question about Nassau ... DH doesn't want to do Atlantis and isn't keen on "sight-seeing" tours. Does anyone know of anything else we could do there? For example, is there a rum factory tour or something like that :dunno

Were cabing to Atlantis, Wife would kill if we didn't get to Atlantis it's been on her top ten list of places to see forever. Planing to do the dig going to bring bathing suits in case we spring for the brand new waterpark.

how exciting (of course, Disney Cruise was on there)
Can't wait to see the documents......we went through AAA,
so would our TA be getting ours, and calling us, I wonder?

an airtight ziplock pouch for all our cards/IDs/cash......

I found the Seaband at the drug store today, but being a pressure point
thing, I'm not sure DS will want to keep it on all day....all night.....he's
funny about that (kind of the no shoes/no socks/no tight clothes kind
of kid )

Well.....couldn't find the Crocs anywhere (sorry Smeck)....but found
cheap beach slippers at Old Navy on sale for the beach/pool.

Back on my diet.....lunch is a side salad at McDonalds ($1) with low
fat Paul Newman's sesame-ginger dressing (THE BEST ),
small snack yogurt parfait($1) with a jumbo ice-tea (99cents). Lunch
for champions .....on a diet

Can't wait to see the docs

I went with bright red today! We have a funraising dinner tomorrow night and I decided red would work!

I thought you couldn't use the new waterpark unless you were a hotel guest. Someone on the main board said you couldn't even pay as a guest. Has that changed? I'm sure DD would love to check it out! We did the dig last summer when we cruised NCL Dawn. It was great. DH doesn't care if we go back, but DD stayed on the ship with friends so she never got to see it. She did a Pearl Island snorkel tour in the morning though, that DCL doesn't offer. She dove for clams and found one with a pearl. She also found a large conch shell. Of course the staff at the island planted the clams & conch, but DD had a great time and brought back great souvenirs!

ok you have inspired me to return to mine since my female probs are over we will start with salad for dinner tonite. unfortunately weekends are hard. we have a birthday party tom. that's always fun. but i will go work out in the am so that will help. i have tried not to buy anything for the cruise yet. i dont really have a choice until payday but it is hard not to buy clothes or beach stuff etc. i did get an ipod pillow so i can have music at nite. i cant sleep when it is quiet. anyone making any special door signs that show we are on disboards? just wondering.
