I am going mid-December. I just got off the phone with WDW and was told that the latest time for the Fantasmic Dinner is 4:10pm (Fantasmic is at 7pm).

I tried to ask if that was the latest time offered or just the latest available on my date but was concerned the CM might not have understood me - English was not her first language.

Anyone know anything different? That's awfully early for me to have dinner, but I guess I can adjust my schedule if needed.

Last December we ate at Hollywood Brown Derby as part of the fantasmic package. We asked for the last booking time and got 4.30pm so you got a time not too far off the lastest you could :)

Hi,

Disney Dining will usually open up later times for the FDP as the date gets closer. You should keep calling back every so often.

We got 4:40 in September and the show is at 8:30! We will likely do a CS breakfast and snacks after the show if we want more to eat.

One thing to remember though is if you're booking a dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby or even Mama Melrose's, the dinner could easily take two hours from the time you check in until you're leaving the restaurant. This would take you til 6:10. You'd then need to walk directly to Oscar's Filling Station to take the back gate entrance into Fantasmic and would not have a very long wait at all before it was time for the show.:woohoo:

We are going August 5th to Fantasmic 9:00 show and our dinner reservations are at 5:40. Not so bad. We will walk around after dinner and then go to Oscar's by 8:30.

We had a 3:30 Fantasmic Dinner seating for Mama Melrose's last year. I thought of it as a late lunch instead of a dinner. One plus to an early seating is that you don't have to rush through your meal, and you might have time to squeeze in an attraction between dinner and Fantasmic.

Disney won't give you an ADR any closer than 2 hours before the show so the latest ADR they'd give you anyway would be 5:00p but IMHO, if you are eating at a non-buffet restaurant, you'd want to allow for at least 1 1/2 hours to eat. Then you should arrive at the special package entrance about 45 minutes before the show.

That's true - especially if they are running a little behind on the seating. I will just consider it a late lunch and be glad I'm not having such a large meal any closer to bedtime.
