Were flying from Toronto and we have heard anything yet. I agree with you. I think DCL is having difficulties getting us from Barcelona to Toronto.

Have any Canadians received their flight info if booked via Disney?

I went through the motions of booking on-line to see if there were any price changes and it said there were "no longer any flights from my location...." I tried Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa, all the same. :confused3

I wonder if Disney is having trouble getting flights for us back from Barcelona. I know when I tried to find flights myself, I couldn't find anything remotely cheap.

Jackie, is 6089 close enough to your ideal? (that's mine)

Linda, don't you have motion issues also? Think you'd better stay in the middle too. ::yes::

When we called this afternoon and they said they couldn't move us, I found that a little strange, since they are still selling cat 12's...just put us in one of them...geeze. :sad2: (Actually you can still purchase all three catagories of inside cabins.)

.

Just got in from work and checked our reservation. Not much of an upgrade (12 to 11), but the room they gave us is a NIGHTMARE! Right beside a laundry room.

I'm calling DCL and getting it changed. I've read several horror stories about the rooms right next to/across from the laundry rooms.

ETA: Calling DCL and getting nowhere. According to them, they are "out of Cat.11 rooms" so they can't move us. I told them we booked a GTY 12, so they said they will "try to move us back to a Cat. 12, but they may not be able to do so since the ship is at capacity". There is no way this ship is at capacity! Getting DH to call now... he is much nicer than me and may be able to get a better answer.

Yes, I do, but I take drugs!!! I am pretty pleased with my room. Somewhat mid-ship and not down in the basement. Although, we've been on deck 2 before and that was fine. Even though I have mobility issues, I do take the stairs up or down one flight if the elevators are crowded. It just takes me a few minutes. So, I think I'll like deck 6. Glad to see a lot of DISers on the same deck with us. Makes it easier to meet up to go to the show, dinner, etc.

This seems like a silly question - but how do you check your room assignments? We were given rooms when we booked through the travel agent - but an upgrade would be very cool. I logged onto the Disney cruise site and couldn't find anything about room assignments any place.:confused3

Many thanks - and goodness can't keep up with the rapid pace on this board.

Oh yeah - we will do stateroom tag too.

Good luck with that, we've called twice today, shot down twice (once a regular CM, once a supervisor).

Now we (myself & parents) have stayed in 7588 & 7590 twice (2 years in a row) and these rooms are directly across from the laundry rooms. We actually requested them the 2nd year! There was never a noise issue & I actually liked the big sink in there to rinse out my big beer mug at the end of a late evening in the clubs! :cool1:

I looked up our staterooms. We're been given the categories we booked- an 11 and a 12. I'm fine with that and my cabin with dh, and ds is a sideways 11 on deck five very close to the kids clubs club. So I'm very happy with that location and room. My problem is that my Mom and dd have a been assigned a cabin on deck two. I have an e-mail into our TA- hoping that she can get this straightened out for us.

I am not complaining about our lack of upgrades- but would have assumed the two cabins would be close to each other. I'm guessing there is an error somewhere along the way.

I'm assuming that we have to go thru the ta, right?

Beth

Does anyone have any latest information as to whether or not our cruise is still planning to port at Madiera in light of the horrible recent natural disaster? Or if we might be re-directed to an alternate port destination?

I have been trying to look into this, due to a bad experience with a prior cruise (short notice cancellation of port). The e-mails I am getting in response DO NOT address my questions. DCL was very evasive, and pretty much say they can "do what they want, when they want". Their tone and verbiage was extremely arrogant.

We got our assignment! We were upgraded to a sideways 11. :wizard: 6515. I'm really excited. I researched the room and I think it will be really cool! We've never had an inside stateroom before and I think this is a good one to start out with :goodvibes

I also went thru a TA but created a log on (user id) for www.disneycruise.com then after you are logged on you can click reservation Left 1/2 way down of site and put in your reservation number from your TA along with your bday.
Give that a try...hope it helps

Yes, we too have experienced change in itinerary (during our cruise due to loss of 1 of the 2 izopod (sp?) engines on the first night. I will also inquire and let everyone know if I get any better response. Perhaps Disney just doesn't know yet what it will do.

Michelle:

I see my name on the fish extender group on the first page ...so all set there.
I do not see my name on the SM list on post 9-10.

The following was a post I made Jan 30th, page 80 of this thread, message #1195

Re: Secret Mickeys
I cannot send private messages, not enough postings.
I tried e-mailing Michelle, but I kept getting error messages.
So I guess for Secret Mickey I better post the necessary details here, within reason.
P. A. Morris,
Just use P.A.M. for name tags/lanyards/postings, etc.
Official versions thank-you.
Boston, Massachusetts
Single female adult, (53)
12 Gty, Main seating

This will be my first cruise, ever, anywhere. Too late for a practice run...
hope I'm not jumping off a cliff into the deep ocean, I can't swim (literately).

I was a History Major, into Historical anything. Also a Rennaissaance faire devotee.
Not a crafty person so I would appreciate door magnets/decor so my door doesn't look barren and lonesome.

Thanks to all, looking forward to meeting the group.

I noticed a slight discrepancy between the numbers: cabins, adults, girls & boys between the main meet thread list posts 9-10
and, Lynne's website listing.

Who is correct? Or does it change depending on diffinition of age ...under or over 17/18 is not a child, but an adult?

The deadline has passed so there should not be any more additions, right?

Guess I'll bring some extra FE giveaways just in case.

I think the one on here is the right list and the one on Lynne's website is not fully updated.

Have you found it yet? On the main page next to where you put in the info when you search for a new cruise is a tab for "get reservation." Click that and fill in the info. On the next page it should say "my reservation" right in the middle of the page with your room number listed. Good luck!

This is like waiting for Christmas!! :Pinkbounc

Yes it is!!!

Just checked again, 1pm EST, don't know why I bothered!

GTY:surfweb: GTY:surfweb: GTY:surfweb:

I wish I had known we would get these kinds of upgrades handed out. I did not want to be moved to a porthole room at all or a split bathroom but would have loved a verandah:rolleyes: who knew?

For all of you that remain in your Cat12's or 11's, come visit us!! We actually did like our room just fine last time!

GTY:surfweb: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

just curious about you not wanting a split bathroom - that is my favorite thing about the rooms - even more so than the window/verandah - but then we are a family of 4 - if we were two it might not be as big of a deal.

We just got our room assignments. We booked 4 category 12's and ended up with 4 category 9's all on deck #2. I have only ever cruised on decks 7 & 8 so I am a bit nervous about being all the way down at the bottom of the ship. I have really never needed to use the elevators before.

~Ingrid

we had only been on deck 7 until our last cruise and then we were on deck 1 to start with and had some noise below us in our cat. 10 and I went at midnight and asked if that would go on all night - they made a call and then offered to move us to the 2nd deck - cat. 9 - loved the 2nd deck but still love deck 7 - son is in ocean quest so he would have preferred a room outside of ocean quest - but at least we are near the stairs that take him right to Ocean quest

I can log on and see my reservation - but nothing about which cabin. No blank spaces or anything to show where a room assignment might go...
