knees have to be covered

So, culottes that come to the bend of the knee in the back would be ok or not? They are not tight around the leg like Bermuda shorts but flare--more skirt-ish.
Thanks
.

I was suppose to have 3 mris done yesterday. They were doing them all at one time. During the second, I fell asleep and starting moving too much. So they woke me up to start over. Now they stuck me in the tube at 12:30pm. Just after 2pm, I started cramping up and they hadn't finished the 2nd test. I was hurting so bad they had to let me go. When my shoulders cleared the tube and had room again, I cried out in pain it hurt so much. I couldn't even raise my hand to my ear to take out the earplug.

Now, I have to go back three separate days to redo ALL the mri's. Fudge, I was hoping to get this crud done. Since I have to be somewhat sedated, I will have to take the day off work. Really aggravating.

Then today, a group didn't put the chairs back after their meeting so guess who had to stack all the chairs? boy did that do a number on my shoulder and back. I laid down on the floor to stretch out. When I sat back up - vertigo to the point of falling to the floor. My manager was kind enough to switch desk times so I would have some time to recover from the vertigo.

I hate whatever is going on in my neck/brain/whereever.

Thanks for listening,
Kristi

Were you in an accident? Leave those chairs alone, that can't be good for you. Feel better.

No accident. They are trying to rule some stuff out. It is also possible I have a pinched nerve in my neck. I get a lot of pain in my left shoulder/neck area up to my left eye. During a yoga class last June, I had a vertigo attack that lastest about an hour - sickest I've ever been with vertigo.

Put both things together and it just isn't a lot of fun sometimes.

Hopefully I'll get some answers before the cruise. This has been going on for WAY too long now.

For anyone who didn't hear about it, in Madeira, Portugal today there was storm and flooding and at least 32 people reported dead. Very sad.

I saw a glimpse of a news story an hour or so ago ... apparently there has been flooding on Madeira, leaving 32 dead.

The estimated population of Madeira is 250,000. When comparing the loss of 32 people from an island nation of 250,000 to US population (300,000,000), that would be equivalent to a flood killing 38,400 Americans (or, should I say, people in the US) ... based upon US having population rate of 1200 times that of Madeira.

1200 * 250,000 Maderia population = 300 million USA
1200 * 32 Madeira killed = 38,400 USA equivalent

Munich ... Klockenspiel (spelling?). BIG clock that does a "show" on the hour. Dachau (first concentration camp).

---I was on a high school trip in the late 1970's ... Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Leichtenstein (etc). Glockenspiel was amazing! Dachau was indeed awe inspiring. I picked up a few books when I was there. I believe one (or more) of the ovens were still in tact, but the prisoner barracks had long since been demolished. They had laid out the grounds, with outlines of where the buildings once stood, and had re-created a few of the barracks. We were only high school students at the time, but most were extremely quiet while we were there ... perhaps in shock. We went to the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC about 10 years ago ... more of a professional pictorial. That was a similar situation, with most people in a visual state of shock. Then there are those across this world who deny this stuff ever happened. OMG!

WE just sat thru gs soccer game in this ice cold rain and they lost.. Two more games tomorrow, so I better find those umbrellas. Rain should be gone by then but who can you trust?
I like to let those weeds get a little taller, that way you don't have to bend over so far. At least they come out easier after a good soaking, right?

That's what I tell myself! And I have a few in the tiny back yard that won't reguire much bending.:rotfl2: I will drag out the 'hula hoe' in the morning to clean up the few new ones in the front (to keep my community association happy)

Unfortunately, the book I picked up (a Nora Roberts) is a fun read, so I don't know if I'll get anything accomplished the rest of the day. This one will be coming along on the cruise and I know Monica has the second one in the series to share too!

Actually, her correct eBay userID is GradysMommy. You can enter auction # 220530044982 into the eBay search field, and it will come up with an old auction (the one I used). Click ASK SELLER A QUESTION, to finalize all of yor customizing BEFORE bidding. There IS a lag time, due to all of the custom work. Make sure you tell her when you are cruising, so she can advise if it will be okay.

Here is the one I ordered, to my specifications (with her input and assistance):

If they are not tight around the back they are probably fine.

 I hope you feel better & they find that there's nothing wrong with you except a high addiction to all things disney.

sounds like everyone has had a good day. I got tired of trying to figure out my flight plans to come home - so I went and worked on my quilt while my daughter took a smocking class.

Finally figured out I think what we are doing coming home - we will do a round trip from paris to salzburg - coming back to paris, going out of security, checking back in with aerlingus - flying to JFK - spend the night in New York, then flying to nashville the next morning and then get home somehow (I can either fly home on the puddle jumper or I have a friend who has offered to pick us up - not sure which I will do) My brain is fried - so tonight I will veg out :)

Which Nora Roberts did you pick up? I like her books. I'm going through all of her JD Robb one's right now I think I'm on like the 20th one in the series.

I got my magnets done for the stateroom door today. Printed some of those cute ears for the number and glittered them all up before laminating them. I did a few so I can change them around during the cruise. I also tried on some dresses my mom had and now I don't think I need to do anymore clothes shopping for the cruise....I'm happy about that yet I'm not hmmmm

I had read the second book of the bride quartet) on my last cruise, so I picked up the first one "Vision in White" today. I guess with a romance it doesn't matter if you know in advance that "they get married and live happily ever after" :lmao::lmao:

I've read a couple of the JD Robb books, but it's been quite a while ago.

Oh MONICA, I printed out the Mickey 'stamp' design from page one to make into a sign for our door. :thumbsup2 Do you think we need a new set of lounge chairs for this cruise (with real first names, since Pam doesn't have a user name)? I also sent her info about pillowcases in case she wants to do them for her grandbabies.

That is very true about a romance :lmao: I liked the two bride quartet books but I more enjoy her books that have a mystery happening at the same time.

My DD loves her but I haven't read any of hers yet. I like the mystery/suspense books better, too. Can you recommend some of the mystery ones of hers for me? I hate to wade through all of them trying to find out which ones are mystery. I know about JD Robb - I'm not really into futuristic books, either.

Were the magnets fairly easy to make? Did you have to make many adjustments?

You should be happy about no more clothes shopping - now you have more money to exchange for Euros!

Tribute, High Noon and Northern lights are all really good ones. Also, if you'd like a high seas thriller by her try The Reef. This one is about some deep sea scavengers. I really enjoyed that one. I own a book store so if anyone has any book-related questions, I can help.

The one I'm reading now is called Remember When she wrote the first half as Nora Roberts and it's a mystery and the second half as JD Robb which links to the first half. There is Black Hills, Montana Sky, Angels Fall, Carnal Innocence, The Signs of Seven trilogy is good if you like ghost story type books with your mystery. In the Garden is another good trilogy if you like the ghost story mystery type of book. Just know there will always be romance in her books as well I just prefer the ones that have a mystery mixed into the romance. Another one I really liked was Tribute. That should be enough to give you an idea of ones to look at.

I didn't think of that Lynne then I can just defer the shopping until we're over there :yay: :dance3: There is always a bright side. I ordered some euros yesterday they said it takes about 72 hours to get them.

That is very cool that you own a book store. I love the smell of a bookstore it's one of my favorite places I remember going to as a child with my father, that and the library.

Okay all in all it was a productive day. Managed to get in and out of the mall with DH who was entertained with bejeweled on my phone. Got four sample paint colors; i have two of them on the wall--one dark and one light in the blue family. Decisions decisions.

Second, I managed to find a simple black dress for the cruise and it actually fits and looks pretty good. Now for the clever ways to make it look like at least three different outfits.

The Disney store had tee-shirts, 2 for $10 with Mickey and Minnie together. Suppose it was the post valentine sale so I picked those up. They will be good to wear while in the gym and walking on deck 4.

Its been threatening rain but we've only had drizzles; maybe tomorrow. It feels like a colder storm a brewing.

Good day all! Just sitting relaxing catchingup on some DIS reading.

Went out yesterday and bought some Euros since the rate is at the best it's been in months.

I will get mine on Tuesday. One more Item crossed of the list.

Your art work in your siggie just gets better and better! Thank You! I am both terrified every time I see a day slip away and more excited then I was the day before!

On the other hand my daughter could probably wait. . .

Had my teenage daughter out with me tonight and we were cruising down the small sample size/travel size row in the store and I said no, no, no that won't be enough, we are going away for half a month you know. . .The look of pure shock on her face was priceless. She is our go to girl and babysitter extrordinare so she was just realizing She would have her two younger siblings to care for and the two older brothers to boss her around for that long as well. Poor thing, I better find some mighty fine souvies to bring back for her!
