KrisannB said:Booking the Marriott was very easy on their site - no need for a travel agent - and they have a room that includes the tickets for one day for 2 adults - it was 289 euro. Not sure how much tickets actually are so not sure how good of a deal that is and it is a 2 night min - so tickets would need to be 100 euro each to make this a good deal. If not I would stick to the regular room rate (get a AAA card) and buy tickets separate. The marriott looks to be a wonderful place to stay - and their "sauna" has what looks to be heated tile lounge benches!

Hi Fellow DIS-ers!
I am so excited! I asked DCL about helping to officiate at their Friday night Shabbat services, as I am the cantor of a small synagogue here in central NJ. And I found out that all I have to do is go to Guest Services and talk with the Assistant Cruise Director when I board. So, I will get to be a guest cantor on the Magic! What a thrill that will be! I will be bringing my own service as they said they don't have prayerbooks on board. I am so glad I asked. And two months from now, we'll be on our way to MCO!! Yahoo!
Glad you are excited! DCL brings appropriate religious officiates on board only for special holidays; otherwise they provide space for "make your own services." They welcome anyone with appropriate credentials to assume responsibility for the services. This won't be one you'll forget!
Welcome branose!
I would at least read posts 1-15 on this thread ..there are links to the awesome TA and B2B Website AuntLynne made...on that website there are some folks who posted private tour plans etc...and I am sure they will also read this and contact you... but in order to communicate in a private message with others...you have to post at least 10 times... so you may want to do some little info posts about you and your companions to start... I think there is still room in a Palo group brunch too (last time I checked)....post away and good luck!
Disneyland Paris tickets are, according to their site, $67 for one day for adults, $57 for children 3-11. http://us.offers.disneylandparis.com/tickets/index.xhtml
That's about 49 Euros in today's exchange (for adults). If you just buy a ticket at DLP, you can get one for about 52 Euros. There's a few discount places available, although you may have to wait a while - the tickets they're selling now might only be valid until the first of April...and there might be a price increase. My "hassle" last year for traveling in April is that nothing was out yet, so we had to wait to finalize our plans in February/March...so much for planning that much ahead! Their calendar isn't even updated with the hours for April!
If you KNOW that you're going to do one park, you don't have to buy the hoppers, so that's some savings. If you want to keep the flexibility to try to see much in a short time, it's worthwhile to get them.
I may admire young men, but I do not want to get involved with one. I'd rather have someone closer to my age. Young men are cute, older men are handsome.
I've never been married either and I think I have the same sign. So, you must be someone I can sit with near the pool, in the bar (somewhere) - behind sunglasses and make comments on the men as they walk by? Of course only loud enough for us to hear.
We booked with DVC and will never do that again. I asked how much it was to upgrade from a cat 11 to 6. They said I would have to use 330 points for one person, pay for the other one and pay the $95.00 fee ... What time does the port open, so maybe we can upgrade then? Should we rent a car and drive to the port to get there earlier than the bus?
snow snow snow. . . 5 teens and adults home sharing 3 computers all week. . .I haven't been on much at all. *think* I caught up... All you mid atlantic folks, hang in there, hope you have power. We are in fairly new construction so underground lines for most part all the way to substations and tallest trees are just now reaching 20 feet.
My newest question is this. What does the water look/feel like at all of our Ports of call ('cept Castaway Cay, been there)? Is it all the Atlantic? Is it warm/cold? Can you see to bottom? Blue Green at all? Curious I guess. Before Gulf of Mexico I wouldn't have thought twice but after that and the Carribean? A bit spoiled I guess. Will DH and I be able to snorkel anyplace besides CC? Guess it depends on land temps too, seems more Spring-ish weather then our cold winter or actually hot summer? I did read the averages but looking for personal experience for these places.
This has been a blustery blizzardy day! I did manage to make it into the office yesterday, but today we were closed again and tomorrow will be a no go for me again. This cruise can't come fast enough! We have been highly lucky and haven't lost power at all this week.
Hang in there Snow-bound DISers!
Hopefully your snow has stopped we are unfortunately still getting slammed they say we should be just getting flurries around midnight or so. DH is outside again trying to stay ahead of it and clearing a area for the pooch. We have not seen this much snow in one season for as long as we have been alive, weather reports another storm on its way for Monday.![]()
NOTE TO SELF ... stay away from the pool and bars (especially when Lynne and Kristi are lounging around)!

NOTE TO SELF: Listen to Steven.

Kristi - Are you trying to put the moves on me, by calling me HANDSOME? FWIW - I don't know that I would consider myelf as being "older!?"
