welcome kumquat88... I was a noob... not to many post ago and now I am obsessed ... I walk within 20 feet of my puter ...at any time and I find myself checking for new posts!...then there is FE's, tea ressies, OMG!!!! I may need an intervention!

There are plenty of stores in Canaveral. The port itself does not have any grocery stores. Route A1A where the Country Inn Suites are located has a Publicx supermarket and many little stores. You can get water at CVS or Walgreens near the hotels.

Last curise we were told not before 12:00 so we stayed another day, which was great, but then found several cruiser who had booked the 10:45 and it was no problem. Disney will work with you to get you to the airport on time.

The difference with the TA is the ship will already be in port the day before. The ship will have already cleared customs and everything before getting off on Friday so Saturday morning you can leave as early as you want. We had a 9:00AM flight booked through DCL on the last TA. Made for a VERY early morning but we made it fine.

Our girls are exactly the same age as your girls. They will be in the Oceaneer's Club--but I think my 7 year old is hoping to do some of the Lab activities too (now that they have the new system for children's programming in place where they can go between the club and the lab).

Also, glad to see other kids will be on the cruise....our 2 girls (7 and 5) are ready to have some fun and make new friends.

I have a DD 7 as well. My husband and I have some health issues so she does not get to have friends over very often at all. I think she'll be having a blast with so much free time and new friends to spend it with.

emma'smom & maren1111 - look forward to meeting you both and i'm sure the girls will get to know each other well (14 days together!). wasn't sure how many kids would be on this TA cruise. we booked this a while ago hoping that it would coincide with spring break, but missed it by a week. oh well, they are young enough that they can miss a couple weeks of school still with no problem. guess i need to get us on the lanyards list.

I have the bell...never played with stamps though. I was going to make the bunco the cards.

How do you keep track of games won & buncos? We always stamped when there was a game won & then stamped when there was a bunco...but I've only played w/ one group so I'm sure that different people do it different ways.

Just finalized our Madeira and Gibraltar tours, its gonna great Plus we saved a ton of dough by booking directly and not booking through DCL (their excursion prices are riduclous, especially for a family of 4).
The whole family is working on our fish extender gifts tonight......

A friend and I figured out how much of the "base" for my FE gift to get. But when I went to the store to order, I got the numbers mixed up in my head! Now I have to go back and order 1 or 2 more . At least she has offered to help me make my FE's -

Glad I'll have my itouch ipod with me on the cruise. I am so addicted to the farming games on FB. At least I'll have some different types of games on my ipod. I'm going to have to time out my crops when it gets closer so that I can leave my farms fallow and sell all my fish before the cruise. I spend WAY too much time on FB.

joius24, We're on a 9:20 BA flight on the 24th...we'll be up and out early.

We bought 2 cases of water with a large sticker that had our name and stateroom # on it--and it arrived 2 days into the cruise. I was worried that they had confiscated it, but it finally arrived in my stateroom.

We are main dining. We tend to be early to bed, early to rise. We were considering maybe moving to a late dining but it seemed too late for us. Of course, there pretty much access to food 24 x 7!

I think I'm going to get my DD an iTouch for her BD in May. You mean to tell me she is gonna be on that thing "rotating her crops" just as much as she's on the computer?
