QOTD #3. On this cruise, are you more excited about Sea Days or Port Days?

Sea Days! Although, if it's as rough as the first TA Disney took, I may have a slightly different opinion upon our arrival to Europe...if you see my kissing the ground in Medeira, you can assume I changed my mind.

I am more excited about the sea days with all the great things this thread has planned.
I noticed our names were not on the lanyard/name tag list on your special cruise site. Both John and I (Charlotte) would like them. We would like the one with the 3 characters on it. Also for the Med. anyone is fine- like them all. Thanks

I know, I thought their upload agent would reject the image because of the name...But I uploaded and used the design without a problem...Let me know if you think I should put a bigger design on the back or across the chest...changing is fairly easy...I went for the more subtle "left pocket" position with this.

I love the more Subtle look- do they do sweatshirts? It might be pretty cold on the open water?

While I agree with this statement 100%, I love sea days! I think of the ship as the destination and anything else that we do or happen to see along the way is gravy. My next "dream" trip is a cruise like on HAL or Princess to Hawaii. Start in CA, sail about 5 or 6 days over, cruise around the islands then 5 or 6 days back. Perfect!

I found the Purex 3-in-1 sheets at WalMart last night. On sale, too. $5.00 Anyone want to use some of mine, I'd be happy to share. I'll try them out at home to see if I like them, but I probably won't use them all up. Let me know.

Back from our Christmas trip to WDW and getting ready for Vero at March break then the Cruise!

Looking at booking the priceline Country Inn & Suites - has anyone booked in the last couple of days and got the $49 price?

I am considering using the hop on-hop off in barcelona...and cancelling the DCL aquarium/park guell tour BUT It does not look like the HOHO bus stops at the aquarium...a must for my son. Questions:

1. has anyone used this ever ? in barcelona?
2. is the aquarium close to anything else on the line....so we can get out and walk there?

Still waiting for DCL to sort out the room credit on the category 12 rooms. Here is the latested from my DU TA.

"Disney is now telling us that these reservations can not be rebooked and the
reservations that were done on the 14th were done so in error. We have a
call into Disney Management as well as our Disney Representative to see what
they plan on doing about this since we were told these could be re-shopped
and they were able to do this for others. They were supposed to call us back
yesterday but unfortunately, we did not receive a call."

1 of our rooms got reshopped and credited but the 2 that had excursions already booked did not. The reason is they were trying to fix it so you could keep your excursions instead of losing them when reshopping the cruise. I know it is extra money that I didn't expect to get back but I am still irritated.

It does. Red Route - Port Vell is the Aquarium stop.

You're in a place that's just chock-a-block full of stuff. There's a shopping mall, IMAX theater, the Columbus monument is right nearby, as is the beginning of Las Ramblas. 2 years ago, I walked the length of Las Ramblas down to the Columbus monument, crossed the street, onto the pedestrian bridge (which is cool in itself) and you are at the Aquarium, Maremagnum (mall), Port Vell.

If you're staying on the ship for the next cruise, it's like a 5 minute cab ride away...

As a note - Parc Guell is on the Blue Route, so if you want to also see that, refer to the map for the transfer points from the Red - Blue route that would best suit your needs. Maybe like La Pedrera?

I am so with you - you should be irritated.

And I think they should be giving us all a credit if our prices are higher than what they are offering this far out.

Keep it up, DCL, and nobody will book a TA in advance.

Will be interesting to see what happens next year.

My DF and I just booked this cruise last week as our honeymoon. We are soo excited! We got a great deal since we are cast members. We are staying in a cat 12 which we have never done before, we usually do a Navigator's Veranda, but we are excited to try out an inside stateroom.
It will also be Jeff's birthday on the 12th so we have booked a Palo brunch to celebrate!
I think we are interested in the FE exchange as well.
It will be:

Me, Becky - 27
new DH, Jeff - 28 turning 29 on the ship.

I just booked our trip insurance and we still need to book our flights back to Orlando.

WE'RE GOING WITH YOU TO BARCELONA !!!

Me (DW) 60 and DH 63

This is our first Disney Cruise... our DS and DIL went on a cruise last year while we took our 4 grandchildren to WDW. We had a blast and so did they.... When we got home our DIL told us about the cruise and my DH signed us up.... It will be our 40th Annisersary the day we leave Barcelona. We have cruised before to Alaska on Holland America and my DH did a cruise to VietNam a few years back.

My DS has made several stateroom Disney ears for the porthole room numbers..... if you'd like to check them it is labeled "Stateroom Mickey Ears and More" in the DCL forum. I cannot post a link yet as I am that new

I'm new at this It appears I have a lot of reading and catching up to do. Is there a post listing all the cruisers and any info on a FE exchange? I saw something about lanyards .. is there a post that explains this?
