Lynne - I hope you have a wonderful time in Hawaii! We went to Maui on our honeymoon and it was just beautiful...always wanted to go back. If you're in Maui for the day, we loved the Maui Tropical Plantation and also Ulupalakua Winery there is very cute & different thing to do, and of course the beaches!

To those talking about dress code - its a very hot topic on all cruise boards & sometimes gets out of hand. Could we maybe just agree to disagree on this one or start another thread on dress code on the main DCL board?

I also have questions about the lanyard/name tag dealie. What if you're not on the FE list? Should you make your own or bring/mail payment to someone? I'm a little confused about this

I can't...it's the only way my brain can keep track of what I am saying to who. I think people can get mixed up too if they don't know who I am talking to. I did a quote even in the wrong place once, and my phrasing completely came out wrong. With no quote, I think that no one would have known what the heck I was referring to. LOL

Definitaly agree on this. I guess I never realized it was a hot topic or that anyone was worried about my appearance! I am sure we will be better dressed in the dining rooms then in the past but tux/fancy dresses are just not us!

Everyone who wants a lanyard & nametag gets one (whether or not involved in FEs or SMs).

This will be a gift to you (some of us on the Lanyard $ Team are not participating in FEs, either - More members are welcome.) We are not collecting money for individual lanyards - too much work for $1-2 items.

Just make sure we have your names spelled correctly on the website. (room # doesn't matter - it'll just be your name & screen name - others in your party will also have your screen name - with their own "real" name).

Completly disagree. It seems to be so much easier when someone responds to something that they have quoted what they are responding to. Logistically it seems to make perfect sense to me to show other readers what you are talking about or responding to.

I think message boards are great for posting information, sharing ideas and expressing opinions. I for one though am not for telling someone what to do. I apprieciate you adding "please" at the beginning of your sentence but it followed by telling me to "stop quoting other messages unless absolutly necessary". That is not really your call. Just so you know when I am addressing someone or something someone has said I absolutly think it is neccessary to quote that person.

You took the words right out of my mouth, I like to quote it, then I feel as though I am having a conversation (of sorts) with that person. We are all trying to get to know everyone afterall and it makes it way easier for the reader to understand the responce.

LANYARDS: Gathering a group of about 10 (have 4 so far) who will purchase the lanyards to give as a FE/DISboard gift. [Cost of customized lanyard usually runs from $1-2 - and gathering all the money can be a headache. If you don't feel comfortable being gifted with one, we'll let you give us some money onboard.] We currently have about 184 in our group - some won't want a lanyard. Get ordered by the 100 - will probably order 200.

Krisann is actually in charge of lanyards, she has a contact for ordering them. I just jumped in (as I am prone to do; poor delegator) and started the ball rolling.

NAME TAGS: You can make your individual one, if you'd like, or you can wait until arrival at the terminal or the Meet & Greet (3:00 Promenade Lounge before the Life Boat Drill) to get one.

I will make all name tags unless instructed otherwise. Once I get in printing production mode, I can just change out the name in my document & print.

CRUISE EVE MEETS: Yes, Country Inn & Suites will be the happening place to be. I'm keeping the names off the website (for safety reasons - so many kids involved and who's watching us?).

LANYARD COLOR: Make sure you vote for the one you like best.

I made it over from the other thread.

I think I've cut the Unfortgettable W. Madeira off my possible excursion list due to its length. It sounds great and all, but after all the freedom on the ship, I don't think I want to spend nearly 8 hours on a cramp bus. Think I'm going to do the Views and Parks.

We cancelled ours as well, would like to do Views and parks but they do not allow children under 12, looks like we are venturing out on our own.

I'm sorry to have offended some people with my request. It wasn't my intention. I have limited time and find this makes it much harder for me to keep up. I've never been on a list with so much quoting, here on the DIS or anywhere else, and it has been overwhelming for me because it increases the volume so much.

No more telling me why I am wrong and why this works for you is necessary. I get it and I am fine with going with the majority. It was only a request and I won't make it again. See you in a few days when I have time to read the boards again.

Good luck. You know they can wear the same dresses to dinner on the second cruise - so it doesn't mean you have to pack double for a B2B.

1. Verify that we have the correct number of rooms for your group. If you have more than one, a (2) or (3) will appear after your screen name for the 2nd, 3rd rooms. If more than one room, let us know who's actually staying there (even if all kids - this isn't official DCL reservation info).

2. Verify the spelling of your "real" name and screen name as it appears on the external website (address below in my signature) - post either way: okay or corrections.

3. Leave a post if you really don't want a lanyard and/or name tag.

4. Post a photo of yourself and/or you and your sailing party. (Avatars don't transfer well to the website.

5. PM me with names (for name tags) for those who are keeping personal info off the website or DISboards.

6. Choose between the official logo and the official + Donald (like mine) for your name tag.
