We got this promo card last Friday in the mail. I checked my statements to see what category Jewel and Dominick's belonged to and instead of groceries, it says other. I guess I won't be getting any extra points for those

Sometimes statements say other but when you call and get your charges over the automated phone service, it says grocery. My daughter had that happen to her-looking onlline said other but calling said grocery! Worth the toll free call to check it out! 800 300 8575

I got the Lowes one too last week but did I misunderstand it? I thought it was just a coupon - like save 10% and use your Disney visa card...Was it more percentage as well that you earn on your card? I just thought it was 10% off Lowes...

We recieved our 3x visa offer today also. I use my card for gas and groceries mostly and always pay it off every month. This will help us earn some money for our November trip. Its the first time I recieved this offer from Visa.

i got this 3 x offer as well. i also use my card for every little thing and pay it off every month. just wondering does buying groceries at walmart count. i never really looked at my statement to see where you guys are talking about when it tells you gas, groceries, etc... guess i'll look when i get my bill either tomorrow or the next day.

I got the 3X offer last year, just be aware that it sometimes takes a few billing cycles to get all your points credited, you might want to call and find out when the points will be available

I won't get much out of these promos but the 5x promo I received for Oct-Dec netted me an additional 81 points, well worth the phone call to sign up. To anyone who gets one of these - SIGN UP. It can't hurt and you too might be surprised.

After we returned from WDW on 3/5 I gave my VISA a rest and went with AMEX. Now I'll switch over to VISA for this promotion... I don't think groceries at Walmart counts as a grocery store. I use it mostly for gas and my local Foodtown, Pathmark or Shoprite.

I just applied for a Disney Visa today (will get 250 points after first purchase). Could you tell me how the pointa accumulate? How much do you have to spend to earn each point? Maybe I should put my package on there (room, tickets, dining).

the rewards on it are not that great but I like that it is designated disney money. Sometimes though before applying search for different deals. They have tiny 15.00 reward deals or the one I got was $100 gift card for signing up for a card. I signed my husband up for the bonus 100 gift card. That being said, the amount you earn on purchases is a flat 1% unless they run a promo and notify that purchases earn 3 or 5% during the next few months...But again I like it b/c it is designated disney money....

I got it as well. We don't usually get it, my son does. We do have two Disney Visa's and typically use one over the other. So, now I am switching so that I can get some extra points for our August trip.

We got lucky and our threshold is only $500. The last time we were sent the offer (on the other card), it was $1000 so no way we were hitting that with just the categories listed. At least now, there will be no problem!!!

Bad news: Our minimum is $1250. I doubt we spend that much between dining, gas and groceries per month. We just booked our flights last month so no flights to be booked (fourth category). I'll register anyway but I'm not expecting to actually get anything out of this.

I got this promo on Monday and signed up. I don't know if I'll make anything extra on it or not, but I'm sure going to try! My threshold is $750. But we have August trip flights to buy, so I'm thinking we'll get above $750 in at least one month!

ETA: I used to use my card a ton, but now I've barely used it for several months, since I get better rewards on my Amazon.com card. So I'm thinking maybe that's why I got the offer...

Good luck, I had 5x $$ in Oct- December and I"m still fighting with them to get all my $$, I even have 3 seperate emails from thier customer service saying I"m eligble and they will be on Jan/Feb statement. Well I'm not a genius but 5% of $1300 spent isn't $6!!! I've even called and had the rep's try to tell me that is 5% of $1300 on the phone and more than one person! They just can't get the math right for some reason. But this is my first problem with them ever..........

Mine is $200. Why is it that they are so stingy with the rewards when so many others are so generous??? I only keep it because I love Disney sooo much!

I got it too, but my minimum is $1000.00/month in any of the four categories before the 3x kicks in. No way am I spending $1000.00/month on dining, groceries, gas, and airfare. Beside I buy my groceries at our local Wal Mart Supercenter. Last year when I got the 5x offer, I was informed by Visa that since other things could be bought at Wal Mart Supercenters that none of my grocery purchases counted.
